A jewel of a place with a park like backyard, front door parking, a king sized bed and a large oversized couch. Fully furnished with all the amenities of home, TV, Wifi, etc. You will enjoy this all ground floor, no stairs involved apartment that has concrete floors, a separate dining room, large bedroom, lots of closet space and nice bathroom with a walk in shower. This unit is one of only five apartments in a small owner-occupied complex just three miles west of Zilker Park (home of the Austin City Limits Festival) and just five miles from all the action of South Congress and Auditorium Shores. Best news is you can get to either without having to take any of Austin's congested freeways! Drink your morning coffee overlooking the Texas Hill Country on your patio in the backyard in our park like setting that feels like the country but is just five minutes from downtown. If we've had recent rain, you can hear water rushing in the creek behind our house. We back up to a greenbelt with tributary of Barton Creek that is rich with birds, deer and other wildlife. We are walking distance from restaurants and shopping. Trader Joe's Rollingwood is two miles from our front door. We're popular with traveling nurses because our place has easy freeway access to and is fifteen minutes away from all major Austin hospitals & the medical school. We are in a close-in location off Bee Caves Road halfway between Mopac (Loop 1) and 360. You can walk to great food at Blue Dahlia Bistro, Marye's Pizza, Acia Blenders & Bowl and Texas Honey Ham which has some of the best breakfast tacos in Austin. Our property backs up to Barton Springs Nursery, which is a fabulous place to spend an hour relaxing among their garden offerings. Next door to it is a church with a prayer garden and labyrith. We are walking distance to unique boutique shopping at Breed's Hardware, Sanctuary, Redbud Boutique, Hudson's Menswear, Embellish Nails & Yoga Vida, which has free hot yoga class every Friday night at 6pm. We are less than 1 mile away from the West Woods Center that houses Blue Moon Coffee, Modern Market, La Paloma, Chipolte Grill, Micheals Store, Steinmart, China Palace & India Palace. Across the street from that are McDonald's, Church's, Taco Bell, Randall's & Walgreen's. 3 miles to HEB Westlake, Taco Deli, P Terry's, Tyler's, Hat Creek Brew & Burgers. Front door parking for two cars. The owner. a a former Director of Tourism for the Austin Convention & Visitor Bureau, is available to provide itineraries & tourist recommendations upon request.

This apartment has been very popular for longer term stays for people moving to Austin. Ideal for one person. Maximum two people. Great deal on monthly rentals. No taxes! We're such a nice place to stay, one of our tenants checked in three years ago for a month's stay and she's been here ever since!

Charming Comfort and Perfect Getaway!

This rental is awesome and worked out wonderfully for our stay in Austin during ACL weekend. Gloria is very helpful and accommodating and goes above and beyond to make the stay comfortable since we were not familiar with the area. The apartment is very spacious and has a lot to offer. I recommend this rental for any length of stay and wish we could've stayed longer!

I booked this place for 3 months. I liked it so much I ended up staying over a year. The owners are amazing and extremely accommodating. It is a great location and close to everything. It is a great value in a super part of Austin.

My father and I really enjoyed our stay. It is quiet, clean & close to everything. We enjoyed the feel of staying in the country so close to downtown. We highly recommend this property.

About Gloria

Gloria Gene Moore moved to Austin in 1984 to become Director of Tourism for the Austin Covention & Visitors Bureau. She’s been in love with Austin ever since. Life’s unexpected zigzags provided her with three unexpected adventures into cancerland. These experiences led her to volunteer work as cancer support guide and advocate which led to a second masters degree at Austin’s Seminary of the Southwest where she became a chaplain. Gloria served on Mexic-Arte Museums board for 13 years and coordinated and facilitated Austin’s MD Anderson Community Support Group for 5 years. She currently works part time as a chaplain in an assisted living center and as a celebrant and officiant for memorial services, funerals, weddings, dedications, house blessings or anything anyone wants to ritualize or make special. She enjoys art, traveling, reading, cooking and swimming in Deep Eddy Pool and Barton Springs. She’s crazy about her dog Kiki and her beloved husband Ritchie Mintz, a gifted bodyworker and healer who Gloria thinks is the world’s best Rolfer. Ritchie conducts his Rolfing practice next door to this apartment building, which is owned by Gloria’s family. For more info see Ritchie Mintz.com. Why Gloria chose Westwood Park

This unique one of a kind vintage 1973 apartment located on a private, quiet cul de sac, while totally remodeled, remains a throw back to the old glory days of Austin before the skyscrapers and traffic invaded. Staying here in our wooded canyon. is like staying miles out of town in the Texas Hill Country yet is only minutes from all the tourist attractions and music of the inner city and has convenient access to all of Austin. Head twenty minutes west and you will find yourself at Lake Travis.

What makes this apartment unique

This apartment has rare front door parking & plenty of it! It also has a beautiful Hill Country canyon view from the backyard. It backs up to Barton Springs Nursery, which is like a private garden. Its walking distance to local bars & restaurants. Its private, quiet and feels like you are staying in the country while you are only at most ten minutes from the State Capitol complex and all the nightlife, music and shopping to be found on South Congress. You are three miles from taking a dip in Barton Springs or a leisurely stroll around the 12 mile Barton Springs Greenbelt. If you are more adventurous, you can hike in the greenbelt creek area just a few feet from your back door through the greenbelt that this apartment abuts.
