Guestbook comments from the manager

This is an amazing house. We were there for 2 months and every day was a pleasure. The house is fully equipped, so you only need to bring the groceries! Imagine swimming in your own private pool with a view of a river valley and Pacific Ocean? The house is located on a hill, so there is less humidity and there is also a nice breeze from the ocean. If you want to go to the Ocean it is only a 15 or 20 minutes to a variety of beaches. You won't want to leave and when you do you can't wait to return

Fabulous!

  • 4 of 5

Great location and villa. A few minor amenities such as more pool chairs, better stocked cupboards, etc would make this a 5 star for sure. We would go back in a heartbeat.

Lot 8 -- The 2-bedroom House on the Left

  • 4 of 5

We rented the house on the left on Lot 8 (there are two houses on that lot) from November 15 - 27, 2017. The location is wonderful. You have to drive for a way up into the jungle to get there. Toucans sang to us nearly every morning. Night sounds were incredible, with us trying to figure out what was making them. We loved the private pool. No one can see you when you are using it. : ) We did not use the outdoor BBQ, but we often sat at the outdoor table for breakfast, or just to enjoy the surroundings. Inside, the two couches were very comfortable for sitting or lying on. The end seats of each couch recline. There were many options for lighting in the evenings from bright to romantic. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The master bedroom's bed is king size. It is very comfortable and does not sag. The bed does not creak or jiggle when someone turns over it. When we were there the bed smelled of mildew so we did not use it after the first couple nights. The bed in the other room is a queen size. It did not smell of mildew, but the mattress creaked every time one of us rolled over. The pillows in both rooms were small and nondescript, reasonably comfortable, but certainly not luxurious. The shower in the master bathroom was great. Good water flow from the shower head, and we never ran out of hot water. We did not use the bathtub or shower in the other bathroom. Each room has a ceiling fan. The one in the master bedroom did not work when we were there. Johnny, who is the on-site manager and is very helpful, said they were in the process of getting the fan repaired. We know that getting supplies often takes a long time in the outlying areas of the tropics. Still, we were without a fan, though we didn't use that bedroom anyway because of the mildew issue with the bed. Although the web description said we would have internet, the wi-fi tower had been knocked out in a storm the day before we got there so we didn't have any. We were told that they had to find a new location to install another tower. Again, things take time. It was nice having a washing machine. The clothes dryer took forever to dry clothes; the clothes got hot, but they didn't get dry. I suspect that the exhaust vent is clogged. We enjoyed the stay at Cascada Azul. We went into Dominical or Uvita every day for meals and to walk on the beach, then back to our little hide-a-way. Very enjoyable! We would rent the place again. I especially will miss the lovely private pool!

quiet, peaceful, relaxing

  • 5 of 5

We were looking for a quiet, peaceful place that was a close drive to beaches, stores and amenities--and that is what we received. House layout very modern, comfortable and felt like home within minutes of arriving. Private pool a nice plus! The sunsets are absolutely beautiful. We plan to visit again

Beautiful, clean, safe

  • 5 of 5

Cascada Azul was absolutely amazing! The view was beautiful. The house was very clean and comfortable. We always felt safe in the area. Keiston was wonderful and quickly answered any questions we had. I have recommended this property to my friends and family. We will definitely be staying here again.

Great place to stay

  • 5 of 5

This house is fantastic. The views are incredible! We spent most of our time at the house sitting outside on the back patio enjoying the view and the pool. The last 1.5km dirt road was in really good shape. We never actually needed 4x4 but I suggest having it just in case. Keiston was very helpful and responded to our needs immediately.

I highly recommend this place.

Disappointing

  • 2 of 5

The waterfall is seasonal, the walking trails are no longer there, they gave us 2 rolls of toilet paper for 4 ppl for 8 days, only enough comfortable seating outside for 2, no shade for a majority of the day by the pool making the dark coloured patio unbearable, air conditioning costs extra, had to clean it ourselves when we left. This place could so easily be better with some effort.
