Absolutely unique, ultimate privacy on 91 acres with 1630 feet of hard, sandy lakeshore (perfect for swimming) on a beautiful lake in the heart of Minnesota Wilderness. Rent your own classic Minnesota Lake estate in Minnesota resort country.

The house (the ONLY house on the property!) has been painstakingly renovated and updated for year-round use. Perfect for summer swimming and boating. Glorious for winter sports and fall hunting. The house is completely winterized, with a great fireplace. Roads and the driveway are plowed all winter.

Come to Burrows Lake Cabin for the ultimate in privacy, 400 thread count sheets, luxury mattresses, a huge, old rock fireplace, formal dining room, glorious views of the lake - all 25 feet from your own private 1630 feet of sandy lakeshore!

Field of Dreams and Bob Dylan fans: See our full web site (link below) for wonderful Moonlight Graham and Bob Dylan connections to this property!

We can help you design a custom wilderness vacation, specializing in gorgeous sandy swimming and boating beach. Great for swimming kids! Mountain bike, hike, camp, hunt. In winter, ATV and Snowmobiling on miles of trails. We help you arrange wilderness weeks for women (kayaking, then high tea in the gazebo lakeside before your massage, anyone?), real comfort for hunters, snowmobilers, and outdoors types. Renters, you have permission to hunt on prime deer and grouse land during your stay. If you're feeling cuddly rather than adventurous, snuggle down with a mystery novel in a leather lounge chair by the fireplace with muffins and coffee for a lazy, snowy afternoon! The woods await you!

About Gay Reese & Russ White

We love Northern Minnesota - Itasca County, in the middle of the Chippewa National Forest is gorgeous. My husband is a consultant for not-for-profit boards (SouthCabinGroup), I am a researcher and author (Unbinding the Gospel Series). We love the woods - this is where we'd rather spend time than anywhere! We hope you enjoy the place we love best!

Magical place! An annual tradition for our family.

  • 5 of 5

We've made it a tradition to stay at Burrows Lake Cabin almost every year since 2007. It's absolutely one of our favorite places to simply get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life and re-connect as a family. The 91-acre property is incredible (we LOVE it in the fall) and the cabin has always had something about it that feels familiar to us. We've enjoyed all sorts of activities at Burrows: fishing off the dock, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, hiking down the long driveway, sitting around the fireplace on chilly fall evenings, campfires by the lake, putting together puzzles in the dining room with the great view of the lake, and just taking it easy. We only live 30 minutes away, but if feels worlds away when we spend time at Burrows. Also, the owners are some of the nicest and friendliest people you'll ever meet. We highly recommend booking a stay at Burrows Lake Cabin.

Guests assume all liability for their safety at the lake. We do not recommend this cabin for families with very young children since it is so close to the lake. If you DO book the cabin, please make sure to watch children carefully and have them wear life vests outside. We reserve the right to charge your credit card for any damages or unusual cleaning costs.

$200 to reserve the cabin, balance due upon checkin.
Two kayaks available for rental for $100 for both, paddles and life vests.
