NO PROM GROUPS! This is a family neighborhood; very quiet.

This home was once a single family home and was converted to a two family, in 2009. The larger portion of the home, almost 2,000 sq. ft. is available for rent. There is now a small apartment attached to the rear of the house where I live. When you look at the picture... the entire front of the house is part of the rental property. Only a small part of the building in the back half of the second floor is where the apartment is located. Although the guest portion of the house is listed as a two bedroom, the loft area has a trundle bed and has a barn style door on a track that can be closed for privacy and the family room, which also has a door for privacy and it's own very large custom bathroom, has a queen sized futon couch and a trundle bed. There are three full bathrooms, two on the first floor and a large master bath with a soaking tub, that has jets. Also, there is a separate shower and double sinks in the master.

It has been completely remodeled with all hardwood floors, except for the family room which is carpeted. New tiled bathrooms, a modern kitchen with granite counter-tops, a large island, all stainless steel appliances, Cuisinart 12 cup coffee pot and new this year a KEURIG 2.0 coffeemaker with urn, toaster oven, double oven, side by side refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave/convection oven. The house is beautifully furnished and painted with a beach motif in greens, blues, whites and tans.

Enjoy a relaxing glass of wine on the large front deck and watch the sunset each night over the bay. Each one is magnificent. People gather along the edge of the bay each night to watch the sun go down. Table for 8 on the deck.

I have kayaks you can borrow as well as lifejackets for your use. There are several that can be borrowed that are adjustable. Just ask! Use at own risk. Drop them right into the bay in front of the house and head south to Island Beach State Park.

Walk 5 blocks north or 2 blocks south to a fishing/crabbing pier and catch tonite's dinner! Crab pots for your use! Local tackle shops, in walking distance, will have bait and supplies for you!

About Denise Larsen

My late husband and I moved into the property in 1980. It was a tiny little bungalow which we tore down in 1987 to put up a 3 bedroom contemporary home to make room for our two growing boys. When my husband passed away in 2007, I decided to make some changes to the property. I made the decision to go with a two family and to become a summer rental property. The house turned out beautiful! I am so proud of the work done by a local builder who specializes in custom cabinetry and molding. The wainscoting in the living room really makes a statement. I love sharing this comfortable home with families who want a relaxing shore experience in a dream location.

Why Denise Larsen chose South Seaside Park

My late husband grew up in Seaside Park and when we got married we rented the house that we eventually bought. We just really loved the area and he couldn't imagine living anywhere else. I am originally from Maine and grew up in the mountains and woods. Living at the beach opened up a whole new world to me. I've never grown tired of the beautiful sunsets on the bay and the amazing sunrises up at the ocean.

What makes this house unique

I can ride my bike to the post office, the market, the beaches and never leave the island on the weekends when it's the most crowded. there's a traveling farmer's market almost every weekend that offers lots of Jersey Fresh Produce. I like to kayak early in the morning and just roll the kayak across the street and drop it into the bay. My favorite spot is south of here off the coast of Island Beach State Park. It's a nice paddle ride and a lovely place to watch the birds. The beach is just two blocks away and sometimes after spending the day at the beach, I like to take a dip in the pool. I have a small 18' X 24' pool that is great for a quick dip after being in the ocean or after dinner when it's still warm. Invite people for a BBQ on the front deck. Take a nice bike ride along the bay. Not much traffic, wide shoulder for kids... bring the helmets! Lots of restaurants all along this island and if you're into nite clubs... of course we have those too!

OK... so what is meant by alternative lifestyle? I was going to check that because I thought perhaps it means gay/lesbian couples and their families. If that's the case, then, of course. I guess I don't think of that as an alternative lifestyle..... My house is family friendly, period, how your family is structured is of no consequence to me. Does that make sense? I believe most in my community share my values and beliefs. This home is a bayfront home. The only thing between the home and the water is a street. No obstructions to the view. ALSO.... check out the following site.... they have anything you can think of to rent. Ask me first, because I may already provide it for you, but it's a great back up for those who don't want to bring as much stuff.

Having Denise the owner so close makes for everything to run smoothly all the time This house is so well stocked you feel like you are at home. The views of the sunset are amazing so the front deck is the best table in down foe dinner. Order at Ebbys in town and bring it home. Perfect

By far the best house on the island!! A true home away from home

Me and my 5 children ranging from 24 to 4, along w a grand baby and significant others stayed the past week. I cannot thank Denise enough for not only her hospitality but for being so kind and caring to myself and my family. The house is nothing less than perfect , welcoming and comfortable. With so much to do, that my kids never needed to leave the house! The out front sandbox was a hit with my 4 yr old every morning, from pool to sandbox all day long...

Denise also welcomed my 2 Great Danes with no hesitation, and they as well had the time of their lives

I've already re booked for next year and may be able to swing my birthday week in September! Thank you Denise for opening your home to us.... it was the best vacation the 10 of us have had!!

Spectacular Home!

We are ending a three week stay and regret having to leave! The home is spectacular in its function, furnishings, location and ownership. Mrs. Larson is an outstanding host who made sure that we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Kayaks, bikes, a pool, games for a rainy day were all available for us to use. The guests we invited down were equally impressed with the property. They loved being able to walk to the beach, ocean or bay, and the family oriented community. The sunsets on the bay have kept us on the deck through dinner reservations. We would highly recommend the home and Seaside Park for your vacation.

Heaven on Earth

Denise's home is the best place you can stay in the best town on the Jersey Shore. Not only is she the most accommodating hostess I have ever met, the house is absolutely perfect: from the beautiful decor, to the well appointed kitchen; the amazing spa master bathroom; the fantastic backyard pool; the master chef outdoor grill; and most importantly, the most beautiful views of the bay and the best sunsets anywhere, you will always leave a piece of your heart in this home. This was our second year here, and we have already reserved our week for next year as well. Thank you, Denise -- see you in 2017!

Fantastic location for a great vacation!

We were impressed with Denise's beach house from the moment we walked in. It's decorated beautifully and has a very warm, welcoming feel. We told her right away, "this is the nicest rental home we've ever stayed in." She had everything we needed, including lots of great toys for our 10-month old son. That was helpful when he got bored with the few toys we packed! Denise was also extremely helpful and available to answer any questions we had. The location is great - we were able to easily bike to Island Beach State Park and walk to the beach on the ocean side. The playground on the bay side beach (also easily walkable - just a few blocks away) was a lot of fun for our little guy. We appreciated being in a peaceful location with very easy access to everything (including the boardwalk amusements a short drive away). The view from the front porch is fantastic. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets every night! This shore house was definitely a great find! Thanks, Denise!!

We never want to leave!

This was my family's second time at Denise's beach house. We have stayed at several other Seaside Park rentals and this one is the best around. Not only is it immaculate, beautifully decorate, and in one of the best locations on the island, the owner and her family make us feel like we've known them forever. My 3 children enjoy everything that is available to them. We go crabbing, fishing, kayaking, bike riding and of course, spend lots of time on the beach. Denise is very accommodating if there is anything you need. When we leave her home, we count the months until we go back for our summer vacation.

This recently renovated and completely updated home is located on a three block wide barrier island. It is a comfortable walk to the ocean and sits on a street that winds along the Barnegat Bay. No obstruction of the view of this beautiful waterway. Bring a boat, jet skis, kayaks or canoes. Beaches are gorgeous and wide. 4 beach badges offered with rental. Under 12 are free. Additional badges for day, week, or season are available at entrances to the beach. Only 1.5 miles from the amusement park, with rides, arcades, restaurants, shopping and more.
