When you rent our lake house, you will create memories that will last a lifetime. We know because we have created so many already. The lake is perfect for swimming, fishing, and just relaxing. The property offers many amenities including a perfect view of the sunset and the night sky.
You will wake up to a beautifully calm lake that will serenade you during breakfast. After that, you might find time for a volleyball or badminton game or maybe a swing on the hammock. Later in the day, you can enjoy lunch on the boat dock and then an afternoon swim or just chill in the relaxation station. Grill some burgers for dinner and then finish off the evening with roasted marshmallows over the fire pit.
Bring your boat and put it in the water at our neighborhood boat ramp or rent a boat from one of the many local marinas. We also have a canoe available as part of your rental. Whatever you do, the name of the game is relaxation and the recipe is a weeklong stay at our house.
Our house is approximately 1700 square feet with a master bedroom (king size bed/cable TV) and bathroom (w/ garden tub) separated from the 2 guest bedrooms (queen size beds) and bath. There is a deck facing the lake and dining area with great view of lake. Beautiful stone fire place is at the center of the family room. Central AC/Heat and ceiling fans throughout the house. Boat dock/deck and boathouse with storage space filled with fishing poles and lots of other fun stuff for the lake. There is a seawall/beach area with a big view and deep water.
Come enjoy a relaxing vacation in this wonderful lake front home.

We enjoy traveling the USA and the World spending time with family and friends. We love our pets--two dogs, two guinea pigs, and a fish. We like to bike, take walks, canoe, kayak, hike, and try new things. We both grew up in Florida and now reside in Atlanta working as teachers. We love our lake house and know you will too!
Tyler Campbell purchased this house in 2010
We both grew up by the beach in sunny Florida. Living in landlocked Atlanta, we missed all the water offers--boating, fishing, swimming, skiing, tubing, and relaxing. We wanted to give our kids the same outdoor experience we had as kids. We began looking at lake houses because we knew it would help us connect as a family. We picked Lake Sinclair because it was the best bet--the lake levels are stable, it is not crowded, and it is still affordable. We looked at many properties, but finally settled on this one because it is on almost 2 acres of land on the lake and it has a beautiful view with deep and open water off the dock. We are thrilled to own our lake house and we are excited to share it with YOU!
Fishing for bass and catfish right off the dock, spotting river otters from the canoe, rocking in the two person swing, relaxing in the hammock built for two, floating in the relaxation station, eating on the deck or the dock--your choice, enjoying an outdoor fire pit or the indoor fireplace, watching wildlife, bicycling, board games with the family, seeing the Milky Way Galaxy with just your own two eyes up in the beautiful night sky, a game of badminton or volleyball, eating dinner at one of the fun local waterfront restaurants or preparing dinner on the grill, and mostly enjoying complete and total relaxation where you can focus on you and your loved ones without any of life’s typical distractions.
We enjoyed our memoralbe stay at your lake house. The serenity, the view, the wild life brings back fond memories. What is there not to love.
Had a great time everything we needed was there fishing was awesome long ways from stores my only complaint was grass needed to be cut
We were early in the season, but even with the breezy and chilly weather we couldn't keep the kids out of the water. Loved the kids kayaks that were available, they were a nice complement to our canoe and kayak. Kids were entertained for hours clamming (all were safely returned). It was so nice to just sit on the dock and gaze out over the water. Loved having a fireplace to take the chill off. Was nice to be able to bring the dogs and make friends with the neighboring pooches. Nice quiet get away.
The kids would wake up and jump in the water. They would then spend a great deal of time exploring the area. We would just sit at the dock and relax. Night was our favorite. We would spend hours trying to figure out which stars were the constellations. The night sky had so many more than were we live, it was hard to identify.
The place was clean and had everything mentioned and more.
I would recommend this place to anyone who needs a relaxing time.
House was very nice. Had a good month's vacation. You do have to travel a ways to do thing's. The Atlanta speed way was great and Noah's arc is a good day trip. Fishing from the dock was ok. Mostly catfish on night crawlers.weather was great.
I have decided to write this review before we even depart. As I am sitting here in front of a roaring fire in the living room fireplace.
I arrived here with mediocre expectations. I have seen my share of lake homes and cabins, so I don't expect perfection.
The owners were very attentive before we even arrived. "Checking in" was a breeze, and they provided perfect instructions to get us here.
The home itself is easy to find. It looks fairly small from the outside, but let me tell ya, it opens up to large when you walk in. There are 4 beds total, including the pull out couch in the foyer area. Plenty of space. Just plenty!
The kitchen is huge. It is stocked with everything you could possibly need. The living room has plenty of seating. The master bedroom and bathroom are ginormous, as well.
The house is super clean, and is very homey. We all feel very comfortable here.
Lets move onto the lake. The view is out of control. Picturesque. It is such a short walk to the dock from the house. The kids are enjoying the hammock more than should be allowed. We have enjoyed our fair share of fishing already. Lots of catfish waiting to be had. There is also a pack of 5 deer that frequent the property in the evening. Really neat to watch.
With all of this being said, we are working our calendars to see what dates we can return in the summer. We are thrilled at the concept to return in the warmer months.
Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful home with us!
We decided we wanted to escape everything this holiday. The photo of the sunset on this lakefront retreat kept drawing me back to the listing. We searched for three months for the "right" place to spend our first ever Christmas away from home. This was it. With no wifi and barely enough signal to text everyone, "Merry Christmas," it was truly an escape. But there was such much relaxing and enjoying the scenery and the calmness that I hardly missed my social media addiction (though I was thankful for satellite Dish TV.) The place has everything you need to get away. We enjoyed the large kitchen to cook meals in every day (we only ate out once the entire week.) Using a gas stove was a learning curve but we adapted well. The king size bed was very comfortable and I enjoyed an evening baths by candlelight in the large garden tub. A campfire in the firepit by the lake provided the perfect chance to toast some biscuits (we call them pop-biscuits.) We took the canoe for a spin (our first time.) It was a wobbly start but so worth it. We even fished a little with the provided fishing poles. The homeowner was responsive to all of our questions and everything was exactly as described. We look forward to coming back someday.
Notes: Some have complained about having to take off the trash. If you've ever camped you know this is your responsibility. Just take it out with you every couple of days and it won't be that big of a deal on your last day.
There really isn't much of a signal anywhere around this lake. We travelled to Sparta, Eatonton and Milledgeville while there and the signal isn't much better even in the larger towns. Don't plan to come here to work on your computer - take the time to enjoy the low tech world again. You will appreciate it in the end. I promise.
If you like to hunt and fish, this area is perfect. We aren't hunters but we enjoyed the Old Hudson Plantation and their Sporting Clays range. Such nice people. Not fussy at all and so helpful. We even met the Georgia State Champion junior shooter, Tyler Coleman. He and his family introduced us to the shooting clays. So much fun!!
Property is super clean. We had our share of rainy days and having the mudroom with couch next to the washer and dryer was really nice.
Nearby Milledgeville is Georgia's Antebellum Capital, Historic Madison in Morgan County has beautiful homes and wonderful antique shopping as well as restaurants, in Eatonton you can visit the home of Uncle Remus and check out historic downtown Eatonton, Greensboro also has great antique shopping, Lake Oconee is famous for some of the best golfing in the state at Reynolds Plantation and the Ritz Carlton and we are about an hour from Augusta National.
