Moclips Cottage Rental Photos and Description

Oceanfront Cottage, 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4)

The Sunset Beach Carriage House is a classic, shingled coastal rental located in Moclips, Washington. Its craftsman style suggests that it has been there for years, but it boasts all the modern comforts and conveniences. The Carriage House was designed—as were coach houses around the turn of the last century—to store vehicles and equipment in service of the main house. With a nod to the coach houses of the past, the Carriage House also was designed to include a charming and efficient living space for guests. This newly constructed, custom-built home has all the amenities you will need for a comfortable, relaxing, and memorable stay. The Carriage House is just steps from the beach and, as a result, has spectacular, unobstructed ocean views from nearly every room. Whether you are a single person, a couple, or a small family, the Sunset Beach Carriage House is the perfect getaway.

Beautiful location and home

  • 5 of 5

We had a great week of vacation here. It's a good place for lounging, enjoying the sound of the water, and walking on the beach. The house is immaculate. Robert provided helpful instructions before our stay; be sure to bring groceries and other supplies you might need because any big grocery is 45 minutes away.

We drove to Kalaloch Lodge and then did the Quinault Lake loop. One day, we went to Seabrook for lunch. Otherwise, the house and view kept us close to home base.

Definitely bring DVDs if you need to watch a movie. Internet speed made Netflix spotty at best, but Internet was fine for the basics of email and web.

It's a lovely place to be!

A perfect place to enjoy the Washington Coast!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I just stayed at Robert's property for the second time, and it was as perfect as it was two years ago.

The home itself is so sweetly decorated & cared for--it just really feels like you've been welcomed in by a friend. It also manages to feel larger than it is ... There's really plenty of room. And do be sure to use the sauna!

The location is amazing - a wide open stretch of Sunset Beach that's never too crowded and frequently pretty empty. All just a football field's length away. I love the path out to the beach ... Wild but tamed at the same time.

We have worked on creative projects both times we've been out there - the vibe is just so perfect for relaxing and opening up your mind.

We got to meet Robert -- such a lovely guy but at the same time very reserved & respectful. A perfect neighbor!

At this point we feel a bit like the Sunset Beach house is part "ours" - only in spirit of course, but somehow I don't think Robert minds us thinking of it that way.

We will be back, quite soon!

Exceeded expectations

  • 5 of 5

The house is beautiful and perfectly cleaned, a lot of attention to details. The setting is stunning, right on a very wide and very very long beach, we stayed there in mid Aug when the fog could be pesky, however we were lucky and experienced two beautiful sunny days and a spectacular sunset. We were also able to observe the Perseid meteor shower even with a bright half moon. Laying in the bed in the downstairs bedroom you have a beautiful view of the beach and the ocean, although the shrubbery in front of the house afford a good level of privacy. The double pane window completely shut out the noise so you need to crack open the windows to hear the ocean. The upstairs living room has the same view with the advantage of the height, so you can look down the beach for miles on each direction. The house is well appointed and the host was attentive and helpful. We would definitely stay there again and strongly recommend this property to others.

Washer and dryer are not available on site but not a big deal if you are there for a short stay, we were at the end of a long trip and would have liked the opportunity to wash a load.

Peaceful, beautiful home

  • 5 of 5

What a picturesque home in a beautiful setting! This converted carriage house was perfect for our family of three. Everything was super clean and tastefully done with care. There is one bedroom and bath upstairs and one bedroom and bath downstairs. Leave the sliding glass doors open for a particularly pleasant nights sleep, listening to the sound of the waves. We had plans to explore the area more but once we got to the house, we had such a good time we didn't want to leave!

Relaxing beach getaway

  • 5 of 5

If you're looking to get away then you've found the perfect spot!! We enjoyed the peaceful sunsets and the soothing sound of the ocean less than a minutes walk away. We loved how close the quinault lodge was and spent some time hiking in the forest!!!

This is a great place to visit....and revisit!
