Condo, remodelled 5 years ago, situated on 40 wooded acres on a ridge above the town of Grand Lake. Far ranging views of mountains and lakes, yet close enough to walk into town.
Ground floor condo, with air-lock entry, covered patio leading onto lawn accessible through glass doors, offering the most magnificent views. Perfect spot to view the fireworks on the lake July 4th and New Years Eve. Although the condo is on the ground floor, access from the parking level is via 20 steps.
Our complex offers convenience, peace and lots of space.
We regularly see moose, elk, fox and bears passing by. Watch the osprey soaring above!
The Rocky Mountain National Park is one mile from the complex and the National Forest is just behind us. The Golf Course is a few minutes away in summer, changing into a Nordic Ski area in winter.
The condo is subtly and very comfortably furnished accommodating up to 6 people, with 2 double bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. There is a convertible sofa bed in the living area. The kitchen is well equipped. The washer and dryer are housed in the kitchen.
There is wi-fi internet access.

We bought this property because it offers winter and summer enjoyment - lots of activities in both seasons in the most picturesque setting, all within 2 hours drive of Denver.
The town of Grand Lake is very appealing and friendly, a real community rather than a resort.
The unit has all you need for a comfortable stay, in the most beautiful surroundings.
We REALLY enjoyed our stay here. Our group consisted of two adults and two kids, 9 and 12. The condo was very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our own meals and the the washer and dryer were definitely appreciated! The bedrooms were comfortable, the first had two twins and the master had a king. The bathrooms were were the perfect size as well, one in the master and the second in the hall. The front room was very comfy for relaxing after our long days' adventures. We were lucky enough to be there over fourth of July and the view from the patio area was PERFECT. There is no need to go into town and deal with the nightmare traffic and crowds. The show was spectacular and when it was done, we could just come in and go to bed!
The town of Grand Lake is a very short drive from the condo (a bit far unless you're up for a long walk). There are a couple of markets for buying groceries (the main once closest to the entrance of town is the best. It's not far from the horse stables). We tried a few different restaurants; Sagebrush was our favorite. It's just past the park on a corner. The gift shop directly across the street from it was our favorite.
Rocky Mountain National Park is maybe five minutes away. We popped in and out every day of our stay. We saw a handful of moose and a LOT of elk. All wildlife was seen in the park, nothing around town, but I guess they get more during the winter months. The park was beautiful and we did a number of hikes. We drove over to Estes park one day, beautiful drive.
We truly enjoyed our stay at the condo and highly recommend it! IT was VERY clean. The pictures don't do it justice; it's a very cute condo and yard area. Oh, it was also very quiet!!! Loved getting up every morning to the gorgeous view from the master bedroom window and the patio area. Gorgeous!!!!
I'd actually give this four and a half stars, because no place is perfect - but this one came as close as anyone could ask for. It's location was ideal being close to both the town and RMNP. The view would get more than five stars - absolutely gorgeous. The unit was comfortable and peaceful, with all the creature comforts of home. We enjoyed our time inside as much as we did outside. Our main reason for our trip to Grand Lake was to go up into the park to watch the elk and hear them bugle. We weren't disappointed. We also saw three moose together the first night in the park. We also hiked up to Adams Falls and spent time in town. It was a wonderful stay and I hope to stay here again.
Very comfortable, clean and well supplied property. We spent four nights mostly for R&R and it was a perfect fit. Enjoyed the view over the lake during out time spent inside. Firm and comfortable king bed...slept very good. We BBQ'd one night and had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend to others. Very timely responses from owner and good detail provided for access and use of property.
The condo was perfect!!! Lots of space! All the essentials if you wanted to do cooking at home! Grill there and ready! Laundry available if needed. Loved how you could walk into town. Perfect getaway
Warning! If you stay at this immaculate and comfortable condo you will not ever want to leave. The view of the lakes is spectacular, the beds are the most comfortable I ever experienced while traveling, and the wildlife is abundant. I am writing this from the covered porch while the humming birds buzz about and 2 does eye me occasionally while they graze. Last evening we spotted 2 different moose just a few hundred yards from the condo.
The owners have been gracious and responsive. We brought my mother-in-law here for the weekend. She immediately complained about the lack of AC. The was my bad...I am aware that most mountain homes do not have AC but she was upset. Not because it was too hot but she is just used to it being very cool. I contacted the owners friend and repairman provided on the information sheet to see if he had any fans. He said he would see what he could do for us. When we returned from eating, he had delivered a brand new fan ad he saved the trip for my mother-in-law and therefore, me.
I have utilized VRBO numerous times and this condo was the first time I had 0 complaints and only positive feedback.
We would highly recommend this property. Very clean, comfortable and well stocked. The views are wonderful, we call it the "Lake Como" of Colorado. It is also 5 minutes from the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park where you can almost be assured of seeing Elk, Deer and Moose if visiting in the spring through fall. We had a wonderful stay and look forward to going back.
