Lodge, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2.5 Baths, (Sleeps 6)
My wife and I bought this beautiful lot on Perch Lake four years ago after an extensive search, and it took two more years to find the right builder to transform Perch Lake Lodge from a dream into a reality. We are Bill and Jeannie Beaushaw, and we are career educators, teaching in the same high school, and residing in Pearl River, Louisiana, located on the northshore of Lake Ponchartrain in St. Tammany Parish. I taught social studies 33 years in the local high school, where my entire career was spent. In addition, I was the head girls basketball coach for 19 years, winning 64% of the games I coached and winning numerous state playoff games. My wife taught chemistry and biology for 11 years before obtaining her Masters degree in guidance and counseling, and she has been in that position for the last 20 years. She was a successful soccer and volleyball coach for several years, before resigning those positions last year. Our son, Derek, is a 2002 graduate and was our valedictorian. In addition he was an all-state cross country runner, qualified and ran the 2 mile in the state outdoor meet as a sophomore, and was a two time all-district second baseman on the baseball team, which reached the state semi-finals his sophomore year. As we have aged, the heat and humidity of Louisiana summers are harder to deal with. This is why we built the lodge. We wish to share this unique property until we can enjoy it ouselves. We hope you will feel as refreshed and renewed as we did when we left in early July.

Perch Lake Lodge
My stay was twofold. The first 3 days was a girl's weekend with some high school friends and the next 3 was with my husband and 4 of our grandchildren. It was a perfect place for both. For the girls, it was so relaxing and quiet. We visited, floated on the lake, grilled, and watched movies. A great way to reconnect. It was also great with our grandchildren. They fished, caught minnows, had smores, played air hockey and ping pong, and just ran around being kids. No electronics for 3 whole days. The cabin is beautiful, tastefully decorated, and very well stocked. Articles were supplied that have never been in any other rental we have had. We have already booked for next summer. Love the place!
Beautiful log cabin
Love the house. Had everything there for you. Just didn’t like the location. Not a lot of things to do there.
Wonderful weekend getaway!
Our weekend at the lodge was wonderful! We only ever left for food!! The lodge is very cozy, clean, and the fireplace was perfect as the temperature was in the single digits during our stay. Jeanie gave us a call before checking in to see if we had any questions and after our arrival Bonnie and Greg who are the caretakers for the property kindly checked in on us as well:) I would absolutely recommend the lodge to anyone looking for a place to get away from it all. The town of Clare is only a 20 minute drive and the Whitehouse and the Timeout Tavern were GREAT places to eat. Also if you stop in at Clare make sure to visit Cops and Doughnuts for some wonderful treats!!
Loved it! Absolutely perfect!
Exactly what I was looking for!!!!
Clean, relaxing, beautiful!
Perfect Winter cabin getaway!
My girlfriend and I were looking for a nice cabin/lodge place for a while as we needed a small break from the daily grind. It was tough to find one with the look, feel, and amenities that we wanted, also one that wasn't too far from where we live and not super expensive either. The Perch Lake Lodge was perfect! Everything from the inside out satisfied our need for a very cozy wooden cabin style but still very modern at the same time. The design and arrangement of all the furnishings within the lodge was nothing less than immaculate and everything complemented one another to fit the theme very well. The kitchen was great and came stocked with pretty much everything you need for cooking or preparing your food. The large windows give a beautiful view to the lake. There was nothing like watching the snow fall over the lake through the big windows as we drank wine next to the lovely fireplace. The TV is right next to the windows and fireplace, so watching movies or reading a book and relaxing on the rocking chair was perfect too. There are outlets all over the lodge to charge your electronics everywhere. Wifi included as well. There are different lights all over the house and some are dimmable which is lovely. The jacuzzi bathtub was a really nice touch too. The owner was very accommodating, she had everything well stocked, toiletries etc as well as being lenient with the check in and out times. Huge bonus there! Very quiet and peaceful location which was what we wanted. We absolutely loved staying here and definitely want to come back again. We couldn't recommend this lovely place enough!
Great communication and very friendly people to deal with. Extremely clean and beautiful place. Highly recommend!
