Why Teri Baer chose Chesapeake Bay

For years we crossed the Choptank River bridge and drove through Cambridge on our way to vacations in Ocean City and were intrigued by its quaintness. We spent a few long weekends exploring the area, decided to purchase a home, and found our property on Jenkins Creek. We've decided to share our home as a vacation property. We hope you enjoy our home and the Cambridge area as much as we do!

What makes this house unique

Our home is located at the end of Jenkins Creek Road overlooking the water and only several minutes from downtown Cambridge with its unique shops and restaurants. Minimal local traffic make walking, jogging, and bike riding safe and pleasurable. The school and city park at the town end of Jenkins Creek Road (1 1/4 miles away) have tennis and basketball courts, a baseball diamond, play areas for kids, and views of the Choptank river. Great Marsh Park, with its public boat launch, fishing docks, and picnic areas is only about 2 miles away. Also, because of our location, you can explore the Cambridge area without the hassle of the beach traffic on Route 50.

Sisters Mini-Week

  • 5 of 5

This was our 4th year at Baer Necessities, we love it there. Its quiet, beautiful and a very well maintained home. Easton and St. Michaels are close by if you want to go to the shops, but Cambridge has some nice little shops as well. We hope to return next year.

A wonderful and relaxing weekend

  • 5 of 5

We were really impressed with this home and property.

The setting is beautiful, perfect for sunsets. The

House has every creature comfort you could imagine.

A day spent here would involve fishing/crabbing in the morning, swimming in the pool, preparing a meal in a

Gourmet kitchen, biking to town and then home to

The hot tub to catch the sunset! Perfect!

Peaceful Getaway

  • 5 of 5

This was our second visit to Baer Necessities. The ambiance of the home and its quiet surroundings was even better than we remembered. In our group of five seniors, there was something for everyone. Our lap swimmer really enjoyed the brand new pool while others preferred to relax in the hot tub. The book-lovers curled up with an interesting story on a comfy couch in the living room or under a shady tree in the backyard. My husband found the perfect setting for his morning Tai Ch'i practice on the dock over the water, surrounded by nature. I really appreciated the well-appointed kitchen that came with every convenience. This property offers spaces for communal gatherings as well as places for quiet reflection. Our gracious hosts are well-organized, responsive and welcoming.

Clean, Quiet, Relaxing and Fun!

  • 5 of 5

The pictures of this house do not do it justice! The house is large, impeccably clean and offers every amenity you could need. It is close to town but tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. Every day we fished, crabbed, played in the pool and ended with family dinner and game time. It was fun to explore Cambridge and the area has so much to offer! The Wildlife refuge was beautiful and welcoming and the bakery was out of this world! Teri was easy to work with, offered help when needed and provided all the information we needed! One week in this amazing home was definitely not enough! I am sure we will be back to make more family memories!

Fantastic

  • 5 of 5

I rarely review properties but I had to for this one. As a previous reviewer mentioned the attention to detail is what really makes the property. All of the kitchen utensils, cutlery, and appliances are very high quality. The house is laid out well and the beds, bedding and restrooms are equally great. The pool and hot tub is where we spent 90% of our time. Watching the ospreys pick fish out of the creek and also a few glimpses of a bald eagle were also great surprises. The restaurants in town are also much better than expected. Selecting this property should be an easy decision for anyone.

Wonderful visit!

  • 5 of 5

The pictures don't do justice to the lovely house and picturesque setting. We enjoyed vegetables from the garden, swimming in the pool, hanging out on the dock watching the osprey and other wildlife, the screened porch, and the fully stocked kitchen, among other things. There is also easy access to downtown Cambridge and restaurants and activities/historic sites. The house was very clean and well-maintained. The owners got in touch to make sure our arrival went smoothly and that our visit was going well; they were very conscientious about making sure we enjoyed our stay. We look forward to a return visit!
