This is not a typical rental; very classy home, and many repeat guests. Very private backyard without neighbors nearby. This is not our primary home so you will NOT see any personal items at the house.

Sonoma is the closest you can come to the European Wine Regions without actually having to go there. Sonoma is less commercialized than Napa and you can frequently taste with the Vineyard Owners. This is where the local San Franciscans go for wine tasting...
Location, Privacy and Relaxation. We are close to San Francisco, the Coast and Napa, all of which make for a great vantage point to enjoy the many facets of Northern California.
I am the owner of the property and I wanted to extend my sincerest thanks to all of our recent guests who helped to conserve water usage during California's extended 4 year drought. We had to cut back significantly on watering our beautiful lawn however, it still works perfectly for a game of croquet or badminton
My family and I planned a extended Thanksgiving this year in Sonoma as my children all live in California. We stayed at Casa Sonoma for 4 nights and really enjoyed ourselves. It is very nicely decorated and the furnishings are new and good quality. There was plenty of the most important things: dishes, plates, wine glasses, very nice appliances, coffee maker, (espresso maker!), laundry on site, towels, relaxation space, dining space and outdoor space. A very convenient location which was about 20 minutes to downtown Sonoma and, of course, to the numerous wineries. ( a very busy intersection just outside prevented us from walking/running directly from the house.) It had a lovely big master bedroom with a large walk-in closet and dual vanities in the spacious bathroom as well as a separate toilet area. Although the bed was also large it had a noticeable "hump" in the middle which definitely divided the bed. One other smaller item, that would have been nice, was blankets. The house was fairly cool when we arrived and we couldn't find any extra blankets anywhere. The living room didn't have any throws either which would have been nice to snuggle with. We were wondering about the fireplace, as it was wood-burning, if it could be used to heat up the home. We didn't bother to try it as there was no wood available at the house. If it had been warmer these concerns would not have been pertinent. In general, we thought the house was terrific and would highly recommend it for a family get away.
We really enjoyed our time at Casa Sonoma. The house was just perfect for the 5 of us. And while we didn't actually use the pool, we did enjoy spending time outside on the patio and around the pool area. It was just a 5-10 minute drive from the square and very convenient to everything. We hope to visit again!
Casa Sonoma is incredible. Ideally located in Sonoma (the "quiet" part of wine country) near wineries and the Sonoma Plaza with its shopping, wine tasting rooms and great restaurants (El Dorado Kitchen, The Girl and the Fig, Swiss Hotel, Oso to name a few).
House is beautifully furnished, unbelievably clean and comfortable. We had incredibly warm October weather (80+ degrees) so made great use of the patio, hot tub and deck seating. Plenty of grass area for games, nice BBQ, fire pit and seating, hammock plus another little table and chairs seating area outside of one of the bedrooms. Large property and landscaping is beautiful considering California's extreme drought.
Went for a girls' week. Would definitely work for 3 couples. Highly, highly recommend this property. Can't wait to rent again!
Clean, comfortable home, beautiful yard with pool and spa.
I enjoyed my stay at Casa Sonoma. The grounds are beautiful and clean and spacious. I would only comment on a couple issues. One, the Internet connection is poor and two the United heated pool, both these would have made our stay more enjoyable. Over all the house is great and comfortable. Sitting under the coverd back patio in the morning with a cup of coffee was wonderful! I recommend this property.
Great place for solitude. Spent a relaxing four days at this fantastic retreat with access to all Sonoma has to offer. I highly recommend this place for anyone needing a place for a family vacation or just solace from that affecting one's daily life. Cool mornings and hot days. Will definitely be back for another stay in the near future.
