Entendez le son du fleuve: Hear the sound of the river. You'll feel to the manor born when you stay at this spacious estate that combines the atmosphere of a chateau in Provence with the stunning beauty of Oregon's Hood River Valley. With amenities like a hot tub and enough space for 20 guests and a family dog, this home exudes luxury and comfort. Contact Vacasa for more details about large gatherings like weddings (until 2018) and reunions, as additional fees apply.
River Song is just 10 minutes from downtown Hood River and all the great places to eat and shop there.
From the moment you enter the huge open living area with its high ceilings, panoramic views, and grand spiral staircase you realize this is an enormous space (about 5800 sq.ft.) perfect for festivities, yet warm and comfortable - and you would be right. The home is the newly built favorite getaway of the Webster family and their eight children, and was designed to entertain large parties.
Whether you're passing the hors d'oeuvres at a party, or a bowl of popcorn while you and the family watch a movie, this home offers a seamless space for interacting no matter what the occasion. And when the others have gone to bed, enjoy a solitary moment. Stay up by the fire and work on the laptop with the free WiFi, read a book, or watch a late movie on the cable TV.
This chateau's large and well-equipped kitchen will be up to any culinary challenge, from a glitzy feast to eggs and toast in the morning. Straw bosses can supervise and chat as they sip a drink at the island right in the kitchen. When the meal's done, gather 'round the dining table with room for eight (plus seven more at the island) and feast not only on the meal with a stunning backdrop.
All six of the bedrooms are color-coded so everyone knows where they belong at bedtime. Between a king bed, four queen beds, four twin beds, a futon, a sofa bed, and a crib or two, up to 20 visitors will find a spot to sleep (please note that there is a small fee per night per extra guest over 20 people and for weddings). The family dog may even join for a small nightly fee.
Along with the three-dozen wineries in the area, there are many orchards where you can pick your own fruit! Come in April to the Hood River Blossom Festival and take the railroad tour of the orchards called "The Fruit Loop." Winter is great in Hood River too. Just head south for 30 minutes and you're at Mount Hood Meadows. Keep going, and there are more places to ski down the road.
Book your next family reunion, small wedding, or friendly get together at this Hood River vacation home.
* Please note: If you are planning a wedding, celebration, or a gathering of more than 20 people, please contact Vacasa directly for more information. Thank you.

About Vacasa, OR - Mt Hood / Hood River Office
Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Would stay again, but needs some touch ups.
My group enjoyed this house and had a great weekend. The view is great, lots of space to hang out and quiet. Stars! I'd rent it again, but there were some issues.
There are 4 single beds listed in the Vacasa listing. In the home, there are only two adult single beds. We were able to configure sleeping arrangements, but it caused some inconvenience. I noticed this in the pictures before and called vacasa to confirm, but was assured it was correct.
There were no spare sheets or pillow covers to be found anywhere in the home for the fold out bed in the office
The Kitchen amenities were lacking - cutting boards would be a great add. The fridge upstairs has a hole in the inside of it. Some of the items are worn or rusty(skillet and waffle iron), only two dishtowels, no oven mitts.
The hot tub seemed to need a better cleaning, after a few uses it got gross despite following the advisories and general etiquette.
The Heat was hard to control, despite turning down the temp, the upstairs was very hot and basement was very cold
The Space heater in the basement bedroom was not working
The general condition of the house seems to need some touching up
The water in the hot tub has been replaced, spare sheets have been made available, and we have refreshed the kitchen items. The beds are correctly advertised: there are two twin beds upstairs, and there are two pullout twin beds in the office on the main floor. Thanks!
Our stay was good, we had a good time. There’s a lot of space for family and friends.
Beautiful Home, Great Location
Great location, beautiful views, very nice large home, perfect for 3 generations getting together to enjoy a vacation near the mountain and town.
Gathering of old friends for a ski week
This is our go-to ski "cabin" for our annual gathering of friends who have known each other for 40 years. It's got a lot of heart and soul to it, with several areas to curl up and visit, and yet spacious enough that you can have privacy when you want it. The location is ideal with town stuff to do in Hood River, and winter activities just up Hwy 35. We are a group of people who love to cook, and the kitchen is conducive to that group activity.
Very nice house
We are very satisfied and will come back again.
Very good experience
Very nice house, we are very satisfied. It needs some maintenance which will make the stay a better experience. It is not easy to locate the house, so you need to read driving instructions and strictly follow it.
