Healdsburg House Rental Photos and Description

3 BR, 2 1/2 BA, sleeps 8. Solar pool/spa open mid-April to mid-November.

Is it possible to at once be away from it all and at the center of it all? It is if you spend your wine country vacation at our home less than 3 miles from Healdsburg Plaza.

Our home is just 3 miles (5-10 minutes) from Healdsburg Plaza and its variety of restaurants, tasting rooms, shops and galleries. It is also practically at the very center of the extraordinary Northern Sonoma wine country, just minutes from the Russian River, Dry Creek, and Alexander Valleys. In fact, there are over 150 tasting rooms within a 10 mile radius - making this an outstanding home base for your Sonoma Wine Country vacation. The house is also only about 40 minutes from outstanding wineries at the northern end of the Napa Valley for those seeking even more variety.

The property offers a variety of features and activities to enhance your wine country vacation when your not out wine tasting or enjoying the other pleasures of Northern Sonoma County.

Our home is around a bend at the end of a country road that dead ends at our automated gate. Outdoors, you can relax by the solar heated, salt water swimming pool (open from mid-April through mid-November), and warm up at night by the wood burning fire pit surrounded by fragrant lavender. Or enjoy your morning coffee under our covered gazebo next to our vegetable garden and near our fruit and olive tree orchard. The property is richly landscaped, with lush front, rear, and side gardens and a manicured front lawn. We also have a young hobby Cabernet vineyard at the very front of the property, which hopefully will begin producing fine Sonoma County wine this year! There is a basketball hoop above the garage where you can practice your jump shot, or brush up on your ping pong skills on our indoor/outdoor table.

Indoors, the home is equipped with central air conditioning, central heating, and wifi Internet access. Our fully-equipped kitchen is stocked with practically everything you could possibly need to prepare a gourmet meal. The kitchen has a stainless steel GE refrigerator and dishwasher, Jenn Air range, granite tile counter tops, as well as the full array of kitchen essentials. For wine lovers there is lead-free crystal glassware and a dishwasher safe decanter. We also have a full array of unbreakable dishes and wine glasses suitable for outdoor use. The pantry is stocked with spices and other cooking staples to make preparing your meals at the house an easy and pleasant experience.

In an open floor plan, the kitchen opens to the dining room which seats 8 and to the den. The den has a comfortable modern sectional, a 43” ultra high definition LED television with DirecTV, and a Sonos sound bar for streaming your favorite music.

Or you can sit back and watch a movie on our home-theater equipped living room, with its 7.1 surround sound, 55 inch flat screen HDTV, Blu-Ray/DVD player, and Sonos component. The living room also has a wood burning fireplace to provide additional warmth on cool Sonoma County nights.

The master suite has a king sized bed and a private bath with a double vanity, whirlpool tub and separate shower, and a Sonos speaker. The other 2 bedrooms each have queen sized beds, and all the bedrooms are equipped with custom Elfa closet storage. In the hallway, you’ll find the second bath, which has a shower/tub combination and dual vanity. An additional ½ bath is accessible through the laundry room next to kitchen. The laundry room is equipped with a front-loading LG washer and dryer.

By the pool is a set of outdoor speakers powered by a Sonos amplifier.

Enjoy the best of both worlds - the privacy and tranquility of the country just minutes from Healdsburg Plaza!!!

About Ed Cooper

We are a family of 4 (plus Portuguese Water Dog) that purchased this property in 2010. We live in Marin County and spend many weekends in Healdsburg - particularly in summer. We find the property to be an incredibly relaxing retreat and a great place to spend time with our family and friends.

Wonderful home away from home

  • 5 of 5

Our experience start to end with the property was wonderful. I have to say the pictures don't even do it justice! The property is gorgeous, the garden was beautiful, and the natural light that flows into the windows was amazing. We found the house very easy, with the step by step directions from the owner. Everything was clean and ready for our arrival. Multiple outdoor seating areas allowed us to quickly relax. The house was fully stocked with everything you'd ever need to be comfortable (something I don't see too often with rentals). All the personalized touches made us truly feel as if a friend lent their keys for the weekend. Great location to feel tucked away from the noise, but easily accessible to the wonderful town of Healdsburg. There is no doubt I'll rent this house again and again and again. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Love this place!

  • 5 of 5

My family of 6 adults (3 couples) stayed here for 4 nights in July and had the best time! The house was in the perfect location for downtown Healdsburg and lots of wineries. We loved the pool and hot tub, and the open communal space between the kitchen, dining room and family room. We had a chef come one night and prepare dinner for 8 and did't feel strapped for space at all. The grounds are beautiful - we even had a photographer come photograph our family on the last night at the house. Ed is extremely helpful and responsive, and left us a bottle of wine for our arrival. I would absolutely recommend this house for families or a girls weekend!

Perfect location, beautiful property and excellent customer service

  • 5 of 5

I rented this house with 4 other friends to celebrate my 50th birthday and it was the perfect getaway and met all our needs. We arrived on a Saturday late afternoon and left Tuesday mid day. When we arrived on Saturday, we discovered that the Sonos music system was not working properly but this was more likely due to user error than an issue with the system itself. We also tried to get the hot tub activated and it didn't cooperate. I immediately contacted the owner, Ed, and he responded in minutes. He came to the house the next day while we were wine tasting and sorted everything out (and left us another bottle of wine in addition to the one he left us upon arrival). Needless to say, I was more than impressed with his customer service and follow up. The entire visit was smooth after that. This property has it all...well equipped, spacious, clean, gorgeous gardens and, most importantly, fantastic location. It is a less than 10 minute drive to downtown Healdsburg where we went to do grocery shopping and rent our bikes at Spoke Cycle for our winery tour. It is also very close to many of our favorite wineries that we also visited by car (Ridge, Ferrari Carano, Trattore). We thought we would go out to eat dinner some nights but after being gone for the majority of the day, we found that the perfect place to be for happy hour, dinner, hot tub, chatting and dancing was this house. I highly highly recommend it and will come back should an opportunity present itself.

Can I Please Come Back?

  • 5 of 5

Even now I close my eyes and dream of a property at the tail end of a graveled country lane. Cradled by forested hills to the south of the wine country

town of Healdsburg, this home offers a unique combination of easy access to area attractions, as well as considerable privacy. The fact that the property

is gated ensures that there will be no unexpected visitors to mar one's solitude. The house is impeccably maintained, clean, and sensibly laid-out. Everything in the house is designed for comfort, and ease of use. The surrounding property is well-imagined in terms of providing various environments for quiet contemplation, or play. I loved the sizeable arbor and the shade it provided from the day's warmth. The pool was just the right size and depth. I spent my first night there, and was treated to the sound of wild turkeys calling to one another in the nearby woods as dusk fell. Lazy afternoons were interrupted solely by the daily (and strikingly quiet) migration of a small herd of the glossiest cows I have ever seen. I have been coming to this area for 20 years, and I was delighted by the fact that the house is located within easy driving distance of various attractions found within the larger Napa and Sonoma areas. It was wonderful to be able to hop into Healdsburg for dinner, without having to contemplate a long drive home. Three of my favorite wineries--Skewis, Davis Family, and Holdredge--were literally 10 minutes away! I think the owner, Ed Cooper, will be surprised by how quickly he hears from me again!

Amazing house!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this property 2 weekends ago, my mom, my husband and I and our 2 kids, the house was a true piece of heaven, the grounds are beautiful I loved sitting out by the pool in the morning with my coffee and again at night with a glass of wine. The kids loved roaming the grounds and playing by the pool. It was the most relaxing weekend we have had in a long time. The sunsets were so picturesque. We can't wait to go back!

We stayed at the house this past weekend for three nights. It is fantastic. If you are looking for your own little paradise this is it. You have your own gated property along with pool and spa. We made great use of the spa,BBQ's,outdoor fire pit and interior fireplace. Nothing better then coming back after a day of wine tastings to relax and enjoy a spa and fire. It is close to town and the wineries. We were three couples and plenty of room to not feel cramped. The separate family was a hit, fire up the logs and talk tall tales. No tv's ever got turned on. Nor did we want to. Beds were great. Everyone loved it. Hope to return next year in May. !!!!!!!!!!!!!
