This house is located in the best location for visitors to the Twin Cities because it is so accessible to everthing Minneapolis and the surrounding areas have to offer. If you stay here, we promise you will agree!
Aside from the house being absolutely GORGEOUS, you can literally walk to anything and everything you need, there is an awesome park across the street and the neighbors are the best!

There were 4 couples and 1 single person staying at this home and we found it clean, modern, and comfortable. The upstairs shower has great water pressure. This house is walking distance to several downtown restaurants, a grocery store, and a liquor store. We also walked across the Stone Arch Bridge to the Farmer's Market, museums, and the football stadium.
The Toomey's house was perfect for our family visit which included three generations. The house was clean, light-filled, and roomy. Our two cars easily fit in the parking space on the side of the house. The grandparents used the bedroom on the first floor, while the grandchildren and their parents used the bedrooms upstairs. It was so nice to have a full bathroom on the first floor as well as the second level. The house is on a tree-lined street directly across from a park. The park was well used by the grandchildren, and had slides, swings and climbing platforms appropriate for the 3-year old as well as the 7-year old. The kitchen had a generous supply of plates, glasses, cooking utensils, etc. All of the appliances and wifi worked. There is a picnic table in the yard which was especially nice to sit at for morning coffee. We didn't cook too much, but we found the pharmacy/grocery store, Lunds on University Avenue, to have lots of fresh food, bakery, meats, and a deli bar with good selections. Caribou Coffee is located there,too. We walked to Hennepin Ave and had a wonderful time eating in the outdoor patio space at Punch Pizza (worked very well with small children). I really appreciated how quickly the Toomeys responded to our emails.
This house was exactly what we needed for a weekend with friends. Five of us stayed in the house (5 bedrooms) and it worked out great. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had basic cooking utensils, there were plenty of glasses, china, and silverware, and there were lots of towels. The living room and dining area with the open kitchen proved to be perfect gathering spots, and the good news was that the conversation from downstairs didn't travel upstairs to bother those who were still sleeping. There isn't really much of a yard, so if you're planning to hang out outside, this isn't the house for you.
The location of the house is great. It was easy to get onto highways and around the city. Better still, there is a nice shopping area with a grocery store, liquor store, etc. just two blocks away. Also, there is a public bike sharing station two blocks away and this proved invaluable. We rode bikes as much as we drove! The river and associated walking/biking paths are also just a few blocks away, for those who like to get outside to exercise.

This house was great! It was nicely updated, and the owners responded quickly and were very kind. The parking there is a huge bonus, as many places in town only have street parking. There is a nice park right across the street which was great for our kids. It's near the University, so there are lots of little bars and restaurants you can easily walk to. It's also a very quick drive to get downtown for dining and bars. Easy access to the expressways to get to the malls, zoos, etc. I would stay here again for sure.
Great experience here! The house was clean and fresh (recently renovated) and made a perfect location for our "guys weekend". We had one small issue with a bathtub not draining properly but the owners sent out a maintenance person and it was fixed within an hour of my request. Awesome! Would definitely stay here again if the need arose. Thanks!
