Great house in a great location. Beautifully furnished (and the jacuzzi was a nice touch). The Safeway located within walking distance was very convenient. Property management was also very helpful and took the time and effort to mail us a personal item we had forgotten at the house. The rental price was very reasonable as well. Could not have asked for a better stay!
The water dept is at the door saying they have to shut off water as bill has not been paid. 14 of us are here on vacation. We cannot reach owners or property managers, neither can the water dept.
For 8 60-something HS classmates, this house worked out well. It was nicely remodeled, quite clean, and 3 full baths were a major plus. The location was convenient to Monterey and Carmel attractions, the beach, the Steinbeck museum in Salinas, and it was VERY close to the Monterey airport. There a lots of great restaurants a short drive away. Thanks for sharing this cute home.
We arrived to find a lovely house perfect to accommodate our large group of women on our weekend getaway. There was plenty of room and we made use of the kitchen and hot tub. The house was close to a local supermarket which was very convenient and within a 5-10 min drive of anywhere we needed to be. We enjoyed dinner in downtown Monterey and wine tasting in nearby Carmel Valley. Would recommend this house to anyone needing a place to accommodate a large group in style.
We had a belated holiday get away in Monterey with a 3 day visit over the President's Day weekend. The home is situated just outside of Monterey on a quiet cul-de-sac but close enough to a grocery store and other services. The home is spacious with plenty of room. We had 9 in our group from great-grandpa down to the youngest who was just 10 months old. The sleeping arrangements were great and we even had a bungalow as a reserve if needed. We spent time out and about including visits to the Dennis the Menace playground in Monterey, the Monterey Bay Aquarium, Carmel and Point Lobos. We did some things together as a family, other times folks went out and about on their own like the 17 Mile Drive. Evenings we enjoyed a fire in the fireplace. The hot tub was used morning, afternoon and and evenings and was very relaxing. There is a pool table in the garage but was used sparingly this time because of the Winter Olympics, card games, reading and playing with children/grandchildren. We enjoyed time together reminiscing. In-house meals (breakfast and dinners) were prepared in a spacious kitchen. The laundry room and pantry were super. We enjoyed the upstairs master bedroom which was out of the way and peaceful. The overall condition of the home was excellent. We appreciated having a binder with details on the home if we needed it for reference. While we normally eat out this time we didn't with each sub-family unit fixing a meal and grand-pa making breakfast. Thanks for the great time. We'll be back.
LOVE LOVE LOVE this home!!! I was planning my sister's bridal shower weekend getaway and stumbled upon this home. What a GEM!! When we arrived, we walked into this beautiful, spacious, inviting home to find a welcome packet with all the necessary information about our stay. As we walked into the kitchen, there was a bottle of cider and a personal handwritten welcome card by the Alexanders. The house was spacious (there were 9 of us) and had all the amenities needed for our stay (space heater, blow up mattress, towels, etc). The layout of the home was perfect and there was plenty of rooms to accommodate for more people. This home sits within miles of the beach, stores, Canary Row (all the tourist attractions).. It was the perfect getaway and all the girls felt like our home away from home. The next time we plan our Monterey/Carmel trip, I will be staying at this home again. The Alexanders were wonderful and they were constant communication throughout the process. I definitely recommend this home to serve your special occasion. It did for us!!
I wanted to take a moment and let you know how much we enjoyed your beautiful home. The layout is really nice for a large gathering. We used the Monterey Aquarium passes several times, and that was one of our families favorite outings. We also went Kayaking/Paddle Boarding with Monterey Bay Kayaks ($30/day includes wetsuit); spent a day in Carmel, drove 17 mile drive; went to the Gilroy Garlic Festival; flew a private plane out of Marina Municipal Airport; and hiked Point Lobos where we saw deer, otters, and seals/sea lions. The kitchen and living room and dining area was a great gathering spot. The Safeway and Costco close by allowed us make many of our meals at home but of course we dined at Phil's Fish Market in Moss Landing, The Hogs Breath in Carmel and Cannery Row Brewing Company in Monterey. We'll be back in 2 years and are looking to rent your Monterey 6 bedroom home.
