We enjoyed our stay in this lovely and well-equipped house.
Beautiful, spacious, pieceful place. Pictures don't really do it justice. Felt like we had walked back into another era with the tall ceilings, grand hallway and starlircase, huge bedrooms. The shaded wrap around front porch with old wicker furniture was a great place for our breakfast on the hot August days. Would definitely go back.
This home is beautiful. It is an old farmhouse that has been split into a duplex. My family and friends rented both units when we came to the area for a wedding. All the bedrooms are quite large, the bathrooms had loads of towels, and the kitchens were well equipped. We needed a pack and play which the host had setup and waiting for us when we pulled in late and needed to put the baby to sleep. The porches were large and the gardens were gorgeous. We had breakfast outside every day!
Behind the home is what used to be the carriage house, but has been renovated into the host's home. It was great that they were close by when we needed anything.
Marion was excellent to work with and quite accomodating. We will definitely stay here again should we find ourselves back in the area!
Pictures don't really convey how beautiful this place is. It is large and lovely. We were in town for a wedding and were grateful to have a home to spread out in. The bedrooms are spacious and the beds are comfy. The town of Clinton is "small town USA" and the house enables you to sit on the porch and enjoy the peacefulness. Not to mention the fantastic food and ice cream all around the area. The washer/dryer unit was confusing and way too small if you are staying for an extended period. I never saw the jacuzzi that others spoke of in reviews. The attention to detail was beautiful - although all the white made me nervous.
We rented the 3 bedroom unit for 40 days and found it quite convenient and enjoyable. It is a nicely restored Victorian home with spacious rooms, a fairly modern kitchen and 1 1/2 baths. A lot of care went into the restoration (we know, as we've restored a large home ourselves). Owners are nice and accommodating. The ceiling fans were efficient and adequate except on the most humid days, but they also had a couple of floor fans which helped on the hottest days. The combined washer/dryer, while ecologically sound was a bit slow and cumbersome. We would have stayed here again in September on a shorter trip, but the dates didn't work out. We're sure to be back again as we make frequent extended visits to the Worcester area. Proximity to Davis Farm and several ice cream establishments (all excellent) make it a good spot for children. Also several golf courses within 20 minutes or so.
We were a 3 generation family heading south from a week in Maine, wanting to spend one last night together on our way back to our homes hundreds of miles apart. The two homes (much more than apts) are beautifully restored with lots of special details: beautiful dishes, stunning wooden bookshelves, beautiful and comfortable beds. Kitchens in both houses are large and the smaller apt has a great deck. That house also has a huge jacuzzi that our granddaughters were positively ecstatic to be bathing in -- with lots in the tub along with the water jets. Marion was gracious in showing our granddaughter her greenhouse and the vegetables that were nearly ripe. The grounds are beautifully landscaped with lots of flowers blooming, with sparkling lights at night. Marion was responsive in answering questions, and has offered to mail me an item I inadvertently left behind. We ate a so-so brunch at Sandee's nearby -- had delicious take-out from a nearby Thai restaurant.
We felt like we'd stepped back into the 1890s-early 1900s - with all of the modern conveniences. Just a delightful all too short stay.
