Why Deborah Van Dyken chose Coastal North Carolina

We bought this property because it was right around the corner from where we live, and it is in a great location - in the historic district and two blocks from the downtown waterfront.

Wonderful experience!

  • 5 of 5

The lighthouse cottage's location is great! So close to historic Beaufort, with lots to do just minutes away: take the ferry to one of the islands, shop and dine, go to Atlanic Beach, canoe or kayak.

The cottage itself is charming, very clean, has all kinds of aminities and also provides cruiser bikes, boogie boards, books, beach towels, etc. The kitchen has all the little things you need but don't want to buy for a short stay (spices, coffee, condiments.)

And most remarkably every single person we met in Beaufort was incredibly welcoming and kind!

Quaint and Comfortable

We have stayed in the Beaufort/Morehead City area many times. We were extremely impressed with the Lighthouse Cottage....cleanest place we have ever stayed. It is well-equipped and within walking distance of the waterfront. Highly recommend!

Great little gem!

  • 5 of 5

The Lighthouse cottage is a great little gem. It has everything you need for a couple to get away for the weekend. Great location, walking distance to everything. We parked and didn't get back in the car for the 4 days we were there. Having the bikes was great, we could get around town easily.

We left our house early since we had never been, and arrived early as there was no traffic. Deborah allowed us in and we loved it from the get go! it was so bright and light! The dogs took to it right away. We were pleased to see the kitchen had all utensils, coffee, tea and creamer...which made me very happy! The location couldn't have been better. We have senior dogs, and the short walk to front street was just enough for them. Everything you could want is in walking distance from the cottage and we cannot wait to return!.....thanks Deborah!
