|Minimum Stay||2 - 7 nights|
St. Teresa beach is a private and secluded white sandy beach. All of the homes are private family homes - no hotels or apartments. The Cochran Beach house is located on the site of the first home built on St. Teresa because it was and is the most beautiful location on the beach. The water is 100 feet away - right out the front door.
The home consists of one floor, a large main family room with open kitchen with three bedrooms off the main room. The master bedroom features a queen bed, a large bathroom with a large tub and separate shower, and a walk-in closet. It has French doors that open to the front screened porch and the ocean. The other two bedrooms are on the other side of the main/family room. The front bedroom features a full size bed and also has French doors that open to the front porch and the ocean. The third bedroom has twin beds. A full bath is between both bedrooms. The main family room also has a sleeper sofa double bed.
The front porch is screened and runs the entire length of the home. A perfect place to relax and listen to the water, take a nap (swinging hammock provided) or watch the kids play in the water and on the beach.
If more sleeping space is needed, the property includes ($35 per night), a full bedroom with a full size bed and a 3/4 bath in a detached building. The room includes a small refrigerator, personal coffee maker (coffee provided), a flat screen TV, and a BluRay player with internet connectivity.
Additional amenities of the property include: outdoor hot and cold water shower, and a screened in fish cleaning porch also with running water.
The fishing on and around St Teresa Beach is excellent. For those guests that wish to bring their boats or jet skis, we have two permanent moorings in front of the house. One close to shore for smaller boats and jet skis, and one further out for larger boats.
During our peak season, April - mid Aug, we rent for a minimum of 7 days with check-in/check-out on Saturdays.
Our family has enjoyed this little piece of heaven since 1929. We would love to share it with you so you can make your own special memories at St. Teresa Beach.

Peace and quiet. Great fishing.
This was one of the best vacations me and my wife ever had. The house was amazing old style Florida, with a back porch facing the beach, with a killer view. We had our older German shepherd with us. The one story floorplan and not many steps was idea for her. The fishing was great out on the beach and the dolphins would come up and fish by the sand bar daily. One day a pod of about 40 dolphins come up to the sandbar to feed. Pretty cool thing to see. Do the circle corral to trap the fish between the beach and the sandbar. I can't say enough great about this place. It was a very private beach with very few people coming by. Can't wait to come back and stay again.
AWESOME! Our family has been renting beach houses for 40+ years and this one is the BEST!
My family and I had a wonderful time at the Cochran House! It is very secluded and quiet. It is a wonderful place to wind down and relax. The weather was phenomenal the whole time. The house was very clean and spacious and filled with tons of household items that are available for you to use. The screened in porch was one of our family's favorite features of this house. It is huge with lots of comfortable furniture and a big hammock. Great place for early morning coffee. The ocean is right out the back door. It is filled with marine life. We saw sting rays and dolphins every day and some of the dolphins swam within 5 feet from us! The waves are not rough, so it is a great area for small kids to swim. We paddle boarded and kayaked several times and loved it! There is a sand bar, and every night at low tide we would go out to it and search for sea shells - most of which are inhabited by crabs and snails. There are great local seafood restaurants in the area. We went to Coastal Cafe and Mad Anthony's Waterfront Grille and enjoyed both of them. We also visited St. George Island a couple days while there and climbed the lighthouse. Blue Parrot Cafe is a nice place to eat if you visit St. George, and if you have a sweet tooth Aunt Ebby's Ice Cream is a great place to visit as well. All in all, we had a great time on our vacation to St. Teresa Beach. The caretakers were very helpful and kind to us throughout our stay. We would love to come back again in the future. Thanks so much for sharing your home with us!

We got out of the cold and snow and headed to Florida. This is old Florida. Single family homes. The house was wonderful. Plenty of room. Big living areas. And right on the beach. We walked the beach several times a day.
The house was built in 1920. High ceilings. Big porch. Updated kitchen, jacuzzi tub, etc.
We had a great time. Ate lots and lots of local seafood. Thank you so much!

We loved the beach house. It was quiet and secluded. The back porch was awesome. It rained most of the week we were there :( but we spent most of the time on the porch watching the waves and the little white squirrel who ran around the backyard. We also got engaged there the Saturday after we arrived. The kitchen had everything we could have possibly needed and we cooked fresh seafood several nights we were there. The jacuzzi tub was awesome for unwinding after a long day out sightseeing. The sheets on the bed were cool and comfy. The shower always had hot water and the washer and dryer were brand new. Absolutely no complaints. We ventured out in both directions on different days. We loved St. George's Island....highly recommend the Blue Parrot Cafe. Wakulla Springs was amazing. Lots to see and very little traffic. Everyone was super nice in the area and very accommodating to tourists. Check out the Coastal Cafe nearby. Awesome food and AYCE specials. We would gladly come back. The caretakers were wonderful and super helpful to us. Thanks Cole for sharing your home with us. We truly had a wonderful and very memorable time.
I don't have anything bad to say about the house or the views. The house is beautiful, clean, stocked with all kinds of goodies to do, and the view was perfect. Since its on the bay, the waves are small, but the peace from the waves hitting the shore and the quiet surroundings were exactly what we needed. The foliage was thick and manicured, so there was a feeling of seclusion. There is a community pier about a mile from our beach path. The second day there, I was walking on the pier and a manitee swam right under my feet!!!! It was so cool!!! One of my favorite past times is sea shell hunting. Most of the shells were occupied, but I got plenty that wasn't. I seen dolphins, sting rays, sharks, and horse shoe crabs. We spent most of our days @ St. George, but my mornings and nights were spent at the house. It was on the fifth night when I actually fell asleep on the hammock. My husband had to come and wake me up. Lol We have rented vacation homes before, but this was, by far, the best. I swear, I did not want to leave at all!!!! I felt so at home here. The only complaint that I have has nothing to do with the house. There was an abundance of sea pork on the beach. I googled it, and it acts as a filter to the water, but it stinks like a really stinky poot, and it looked like horse poopy, but it was definitely doing its job because the water was crystal clear. There was very little people on the beach, but all the ones that I met were locals, and they were all very friendly. I chatted with one of the neighbors, and she was actually thanking us for coming. This was the first time that my two furbabies have got to see the ocean. My dashound was not a fan because he is lazy, but my minpin was in hog Heaven. She was prissing around like she was in high cotton. (So was I) The house, the town, the beach, and everything around it was exactly like being at home away from home. We have always talked about purchasing a beach home at some point, but since staying in St. Teresa, the talk is becoming a bit more serious. Until then, this home will be our only go-to rental for the yearly beach stay.
