Kathleen purchased this studio in 2010
Thank you for sharing your home as our "home away from home" this week. What a lovely quiet spot in the middle of this huge, busy, and somewhat crazy city! We have truly appreciated your availability for questions, and your helpful hints as far as eating.
My nephew and I stayed at this "gem" of a place for a few nights so that we could be close to Universal Studios and other Hollywood and LA attractions. The location was perfect. The place was small but very comfortable, clean, well-maintained, quiet and private. It provided us what we needed...a place to relax, watch a little TV, hop on our tablets, and lay our heads down in between visiting various attractions. The neighborhood felt very safe. Kathleen's Thai restaurant recommendation was spot on. We appreciated her quick and timely responses prior to our visit. We also appreciated that she "left us alone" to have our vacation. On the other hand, we also felt welcomed to call if we needed her for anything. The steps to her home was somewhat steep which was not a problem for us but may be for anyone that is not as ambulatory. We hope that we were good renters. Thanks Kathleen!
This lovely guest house had plenty of space for the two of us during our weekend-get-away to the Pacific coast. The bed was comfortable, everything was clean, the temperatures were perfect night and day.
Kathleen is a generous, responsive host. She made available for our use: beach chairs, beach towels and a beach umbrella. Her recommendations for local dining were stellar. We'll stay here again. The whole place has a really nice feeling to it. Thank you again, Kathleen.
We stayed in Kathleen's lovely guest apartment for nine days in July while we were in LA visiting our son who lives in Encino. The apartment has a beautiful view of the mountains; we loved the Hollywood Hills area. We drove a short way from the apartment to the Hollywood Reservoir. We walked the whole 3.5 or so mile paved path around the reservoir. The views of the Hollywood Sign were excellent. We also spent a day at Universal Studios which is just a few miles down the road from Kathleen's house. The apartment is very comfortable; we loved the full kitchen. We shopped at the nearby Ralph's; we ate all of our breakfasts & some of our lunches at the apartment. Kathleen is a lovely hostess. Her house really became our home away from home! We will definitely stay there again in the future. Thanks, Kathleen!
Great location and view of hillside. Lots to do around it. AC and appliances worked as they should. Had everything we needed. Kathleen even loaned us a beach umbrella. One- cup Keurig coffee maker was great. Bed was comfy for me, but too soft for my husband.
Kathleen made the stay so easy. Her communication was quick and clear at every turn. The apartment is clean and comfortable. Parking was always open very close to the front door. If there are any quibbles, the only one I can think of is that the shower head is very low and if you are a very tall person you'll have to contort a bit to wash your hair. But that's a very minor issue. I'd stay here again without hesitation.
Thanks so much for your little but cute home. Thanks again for letting a baby stay, and sorry about the crying at times. We loved how close it was to universal studios (which where amazing). We are from a small town so the busy and crazy roads where heart pounding, and the blind corners keep you on your toes! Hope to be back soon! Thanks from the Schoepp's
We are located near the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the Hollywood Bowl, Universal Studios, Griffith Park and the Griffith Park Observatory, Kodak Theater, Pantages Theater, Arclight Cinemas, hundreds of world class restaurants, and walking distance to Lake Hollywood.

I like to let everyone know just in case, there are about 20 steps up to the semi-attached guesthouse. It is a non-smoking unit.
