This 4 bedroom / 2 bathroom home is truly a distinctive private residence that is spread out among a well thought out tri-level layout.
Each of the 4 sleeping retreats has numerous custom details that make them a special place to spend your time.
The private Master bedroom suite boasts a high-end pillow top queen sleigh bed that sleeps 2 and a flat screen TV. The ensuite Master bathroom is equipped with dual Hansgrohe shower heads, modern above-counter sinks, and ultra-modern décor. Just outside the French doors from the Master, a steaming Caldera hot tub is conveniently located.
The second bedroom with its nautical lakehouse decor has a queen bed to comfortably sleep 2. Twin beds in the third bedroom sleep 2 children. A private fourth sleeping area is located downstairs with a dreamy-soft queen bed and futon to sleep 4 and TV. Please note that this fourth sleeping area does not have a door, but we have provided a room divider screen for privacy - it is located in the lower level of the house accessed by stairs.

To experience Tahoe’s history, start near Fanny Bridge at the Gatekeeper’s Museum, where you can learn about Tahoe’s early residents and see examples of the Washoe Tribe’s basket weaving. Take a tour of Tahoe’s first lakefronts, built in the early 20th century by Tahoe’s eccentric pioneers – Ehrman Mansion at Sugar Pine Point State Park and Vikingsholm in Emerald Bay, one of Tahoe’s iconic and most picturesque landmarks. Boat or kayak out to Fannette Island and explore the remains of the teahouse, or hike along Lake Tahoe’s highest cliffs at D.L. Bliss State Park as you gaze down at the crystal-clear blue waters.
We purchased this house in 1998 after getting married earlier that year. We lived in this home for 12 years, raised our children and created some of our most special memories. Our family has deep roots in Tahoe. We are 4th and 5th generations that have resided in the Tahoma and Homewood areas of the West Shore. We love the West Shore and could not imagine living anywhere else.

The Timber Wolf House is located on a quiet street in a wonderful neighborhood.
Because this was our personal home for 12 years, we added a lot of personal home features which make it more than just a bare vacation rental. We have an automatic generator in the event of a power outage, a beautifully manicured and fenced backyard with a place for children to play safely or for domesticated animals to roam, high-end appliances and fixtures. The home is also located in a quiet neighborhood and street where you do not have to worry about traffic noise. It is a walk to Chamber's Landing Beach & Bar and 2 miles from Homewood Ski Resort.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your lovely home. From the fireplace to games with lots of space to enjoy, we had a delightful time. It's convenient to Homewood skiing - and Lake Tahoe - and the restaurants! The lake is always such a draw even if it is just to look at! Such beauty. The kitchen is great to work in - gourmet with top of the line appliances. We had an issue with the washer and they responded so quickly! I'd highly recommend it - very nice!
We rented this house for a family get away to the snow. Upon arrival, the phone rang and we answered it and we received a call from the manager of the property asking us if we needed anything and to give us information on local restaurants in the area. After we got settled we contacted her because of the snow storm we were unable to get the cable to work on the TV. She did everything you could to help us get it working in even offered to pay for movies when it did come on..We have been to the snow before so we understood this kind of stuff happens during it snow storm. See even called us and notified us when the weather looks like it was turning for the worst and gave us tips and pointers on our departure. We really enjoyed the house and would definitely rent it again. My only suggestion would be for more sitting available in the family room since it does sleep 10 people we only had 7 and we did have people sitting on the floor.
It was clean and well stocked for our stay and when the power went out from the storm, the generator started up and kept everything going.
We truly had a great family getaway, even with the storm.
Looking forward to another trip up there this year.
We had 7 adults, a 3 year old and two 1 year olds, and this house was plenty big for us. The back yard and patio was perfect extension of the kitchen for summer dinners. And it was right in the neighborhood we wanted to be in. One thing to note, there's no door on the downstairs bedroom. It worked out fine for us but was a bit of a surprise.
But most of all, Joanne was really great. She checked in with us when we arrived and even found a bag we left and brought it to a local shop so we could pick it up later. SO APPRECIATED THAT!

House was as described and very comfortable for our group of 6 adults and 1 toddler under 2. Fenced yard with grass was good for granddaughter to run and play. Kitchen and BBQ were great. Area was very quiet and peaceful. Walking distance to Trails and Sugar Pine Park.

We really enjoyed the house, the yard, the hot tub, the grill, the indoor and outdoor areas, and the proximity to Lake Tahoe. The house was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for cooking. The neighborhood was peaceful and nice to walk in. Joanne was extremely helpful. Joanne was very responsive with email/coms, house was as described and in perfect condition, lots of space (we were 7 adults but easily fits 10 if needed), hot tub was warm upon arrival and such a treat after skiing.
Super close to Homewood ski resort (great resort btw), road was plowed all the way to the house.
Plenty of pots/pans to cook for everyone, overall a great place to stay in the area!

CANCELLATIONS – a one hundred fifty (150) day notice is required for cancellation. Cancellations that are made more than 150 days prior to the arrival will incur no penalty. Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay, that are made within 150 days of the arrival date, forfeit the full advance payment and damage/reservation deposit. Cancellations made within 120 days of the arrival date, forfeit the full payment.
PAYMENT – An advance payment equal to 50% of the rental rate is required one hundred fifty (150) days before arrival. The advance payment will be applied toward the rent. Please make payments in the form of personal/cashier’s checks or bank money orders payable to Timber Wolf Properties. If you wish to pay by credit card, please complete credit card information on Page 2 of Rental Agreement.
