San Pedro House Rental Photos and Description

House, 3 Bedrooms, 3 Baths (Sleeps 7+)

You are invited to discover a true island paradise. Casa Rana is a designer luxury home that is the perfect place for your Caribbean adventure. Located 20 minutes north of San Pedro in the exclusive Mexico Rocks area you will awaken in your pillow top beds to amazing sunrises. Your choices each day ranges from doing absolutely nothing to fun experiences on the island or the mainland.

Utilizing the principles of Feng Shui, our intention was to build the most beautiful home on the island, a place that would be in harmony with nature, a place of spirituality, and a place where one could nourish the soul. Our guests have confirmed that we accomplished our goal; Casa Rana has become the Number One luxury rental home destination in Belize. Please read the guest comments below; or Google us; the comments say it all.

Day trips Include visiting mayan ruins, cave tubing, zip-lining, bird watching, spa treatments, diving, snorkeling, fishing, kayaking, and much more.

The Unique Benefits at this House: Our home includes spacious rooms and exquisite furnishings, in addition to unobstructed views of the Caribbean. Casa Rana is a living-breathing piece of art, dancing with energy twenty four hours a day. At night the unique lighting transforms the home into another dimension. Bring your family and friends and share with us a most memorable bare foot vacation.

The Unique Benefits at this House: Staying in a stunning 4,000 square foot luxury home with its own private beach, plunge pool ( 10' x 14'), and dock, is an extraordinary experience very few people ever get a chance to do.. Just observing the water, the sky and the sea will occupy hours of your time. The power of nature is here in its full glory.

Why the Owner Chose San Pedro: Belize is a land of many different cultures living in an unusually harmonious way. English is the official language and the country is governed according to English Law. It is a land of astounding beauty, and one of the last parts of the Caribbean to be fully explored. We were mesmerized with the beauty of the Caribbean water, the sky and the island of Ambergris Caye. This was a place where we knew we wanted to be. Our varied backgrounds includes (among other professions) design and building, and we wanted to build a home that was a 'work of art and spirituality', to be shared with all who chose to visit.

Amazing house, wonderful hosts, unforgettable trip!

  • 5 of 5

We (5 friends) stayed at Casa Rana for 6 days in Jun-16. We had an amazing time-my only complaint is that it was too short!

AC is the ideal combination of comfort & culture. It has lots of luxury offerings like Casa Rana but the island is relaxed & unpretentious. There are plenty of opportunities to experience authentic Belizean culture & breathtaking natural beauty. San Pedro offers great restaurants (try Wild Mangos), beach bars (try Palapa Bar), and a local clubby / dancey bars. It’s accessible to backpackery Caye Caulker and the mainland (15 min prop plane/~1.5hr boat). Warning: prepare for sand fleas when outside!

The house is BEAUTIFUL! It is like new, luxurious, clean & comfortable. It has a small pool & fairly nice beach; the island itself does not have a lot of beaches bc the reef prevents their formation-this one is v nice by comparison. Our favorite spot was under the palapa (open sided structure @ the end of the dock). Put on lots of sunscreen there because being on the water burns you big time w/o you noticing. You can get into the water off the beach or the palapa

The house is as depicted-no surprises. The kitchen is well equipped; get your groceries delivered before arrival. The beds are made & house is tidied every day. Towels/sheets changed every 3 days. There is AC in BRs. They have kayaks & you can rent snorkels a short way down the beach. Warning: wifi is not great; I could only work from one of the bedrooms & it’s slow-you can connect your phone for light activity from most of the house though. The location is perfect; it’s secluded/quiet but accessible to town near Mexico Rocks ~6mi north of town. The paved road goes to the house. One way, it is a 15min water taxi (US$65) or 25min golf cart. You can also take the ferry for ~US$10-15pp

Richard & Diana (owners) and James & Bea (caretakers) will take amazing care of you. They made our vacation perfect! They live in houses on the property so are around to help. V respectful of our privacy & super nice people. Richard helped us choose & organize all our activities in advance and arranged our airport transfers from San Pedro. We did a full day sailing/snorkelling trip on El Gato-highly recommend. We also did an unforgettable day trip to the mainland to see Mayan ruins & go cave tubing. They can arrange massages & delicious catered meals at the villa (Bea is an amazing cook)

I would give it 6 stars if I could – would definitely visit again. Thx so much for having us!

A Beautiful, Comfortable House with a Great View

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Rana, the beautiful home of Richard and Diana. They are lovely people and made our stay very special. Richard was always quick to respond to my questions prior to our visit and just as quick once we were there. Bea and James were an unexpected blessing. Bea cooked wonderful Belizean meals for us and James tended to our every need!

As you approach the house you are greeted with beautiful landscaping, breathtaking views, the friendliest dog ever, Hydro, and an immaculate villa perfectly designed with attention to every detail and wonderfully equipped that makes you feel instantly at home. Other great things about the house are the outdoor areas, the pool and the private pier, The location is peaceful and allowed for a relaxing stay and at the same time easy access to restaurants and outdoor activities, especially since Richard can arrange private water transportation.

if you want to slow your pace, experience fun outdoor activities and get to know warm, genuine people, you will love this property.

Lovely birthday trip spot

  • 5 of 5

This beautiful house on a lovely beach was the perfect spot for us to come for my Mom's 80th birthday celebration, The decor was great and the house was very comfortable and the downstairs bedroom was great for Mom. We went on several well executed excursions (Lamanai ruins, snorkeling etc)with Suya tours and received good guidance from Richard and Diana on everything. The ladies who had massages raved about it afterwards...The food we had prepared for us by B and Richard in the house was great, there were good local resort dining options, and the house is well equipped to do our own cooking for meals we made ourselves. The section of beach the house is on is much cleaner than where we had stayed before South of San Pedro and we'll be back to this area for sure. We'd definitely recommend Casa Rana to other adults, but there are lovely small art pieces that might not survive small children well. Diana and Richard do visit a bit, so this feels a little like a B+B; we felt welcome and cared for, but visitors should consider if that is their style.

stacy

  • 5 of 5

Three couples chose to stay at Casa Rana instead of a resort. We were in paradise! The views were unbelievable, the owners were very helpful and friendly. It's a 5 minute walk to a restaurant at a resort, where we ate several times, & it was delicious. Very clean & spacious. The private beach with the dock was breathtaking. The catamaran they recommended was quite old and beat up, we may have chosen a different route with that recommendation. And there were hot water problems the entire week of our stay. So cold showers weren't fun. Plan on a 7 mile water taxi ride whenever you leave the home, which is about $80. Overall we would highly recommend this house.

A Treasure in Belize

  • 5 of 5

Casa Rana is a little piece of paradise. This very special home is quite welcoming as you approach from the water. From the moment we walked onto the dock, we felt a sense of calm and relaxation that took hold of us throughout the weeklong stay. Both couples had spent a long day of travel and we were delighted by the most delicious Belizean dinner that was prepared for us by Miss Bea; housekeeper and talented cook. The layout of the house was ideal for privacy of our group- two couples. We each had spacious bedrooms and baths on the second floor, with a balcony facing the magical waters of Belize and the tropical reef. The bed was immensely comfortable, with fine linens, and plenty of towels. The third bedroom on the first floor also has a lovely bathroom. The downstairs community space was ideal for lounging together, dining, and having fun in the kitchen. Since we all enjoyed cooking, we appreciated that the kitchen had everything we needed for food and drink prep. There is also an outdoor grill that we used several nights. The front veranda was our place for morning coffee, and evening cocktails, a perfect place to read, or just to gaze out at the beautiful water.

We had booked the villa months in advanced and had wonderful correspondences with the owner Richard, who gave us excellent advise on preparing for the trip. He had provided a link on the home website of a local store that would deliver groceries just prior to our arrival. This was THE most important and helpful tip. I had emailed Richard some specific questions about the items available and he gave me a call back to offer info on what items were fresh and local, and then offered to water taxi us into town on the Monday of our trip if there were any supplies that we wanted to add. This was so helpful because we wanted fresh fish, and the grocery store only offered frozen fish. As it turned out, the villa caretaker James was our master fisherman. We caught our fresh fish right there. Well mostly James caught the fish and cleaned it. Owners Richard and Diana were very engaging and we loved to hear about the flora and fauna of the island. There were many small touches around the property and house that made it truly enchanting.

When someone shares their private luxury home with you, they are offering a special retreat. We will always cherish the unique opportunities and adventures we had at Casa Rana. It’s a gem.

Memorable Family 50th Anniversary Break

  • 5 of 5

Where do we start? The amazing "Anniversary Meal" - from the beautifully laid out table, delicious food to the unobtrusive service - created a fabulous atmosphere for a special celebration together with our family. The house is amazing and we wanted for nothing - Richard, Diana, their staff and dog (Hydro) made us feel very welcome. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
