The Townhouse is newly renovated modern style and with the luxury of a five star hotel, a touch of home and spacious for a city dwelling at 2,400sq perfect for friends travel together or family with children.
There are three floors to the townhouse and the top two floors each have 2 bedrooms. Each bedroom has a queen size bed and tile bathroom. Live like a celebrity as you enjoy brand new designer furnishings, hard wood floors, full kitchen, Large screen TV's, and five-star linens.
Centrally located downtown, just steps away from the Convention Center, Walnut Theater, City Hall, China Town and numerous historical sights around city conveniently reached by public transportation.
Previously we have lived in the city and now we live outside, we missed the city life and what its offer, therefore we decided to invest in the townhouse in town for our friends and families from abroad to use.
Kaitlin Do purchased this townhome in 2010
The Townhouse is centrally located, convenient for out of town guesses.
I recently stayed in this perfectly located townhouse with my two college friends from CA and my sister from TX. It was great! Having 4 bedrooms with a full bath in each was awesome! The location was perfect to get around Philly. I would definitely to back! Our only (minor) disappointment was the two couches on the first floor where the TV was located. They were very uncomfortable. Other than that it was a "win win"!
With three colleagues (all of us attending a meeting at the Philly Convention Center), I stayed a week. Lovely place - clean and nicely appointed. Each of us had our own bedroom and bath. Two of the rooms (larger) face the street; the other two (smaller) face a back space between buildings that has some ventilation equipment. The street side was generally quiet, with the exception of the one night that the cable TV folks dug a trench in the street. The back side always was quiet, with the equipment making a bit of white noise. None of us (ages 66, 60, 50 and 45) had any trouble with all the stairs in this property. Similarly, we found walking to the Philly CC, to restaurant row, or to historic sites to be easy and enjoyable on well-lit and clean streets.
The wifi functioned well, the kitchen was very well equipped, the appliances all worked, and house supplies were abundant (we did not need to run out and purchase more toilet paper or paper towels). Much appreciated!
Correspondence with the host was average. She was professional, moderately prompt in replying, and definitely not chatty. She did not meet us when we arrived but really didn't need to. The instructions were clear as to how to enter and leave the property via a combination lock. A few things would have been handy to know, such as a reminder to pull the outside door shut behind you. It did not always click shut on its own. As people who tend to use public transportation, it also would have been handy to know that the nearby SEPTA rail line Jefferson (East Market) Station sends a train to the airport every 30 minutes. The train is convenient, speedy, and cheap ($8 from PHL, $7 return). Finally, it would have been helpful to know that the photos on Google maps, while reasonably accurate, make the neighborhood appear a bit undesirable. Actually, the neighborhood is just fine and there's a terrific upscale grocery/deli on the corner. Also a kosher deli next door. Yum to both.
Yes, you guessed it. All of us would stay here again.
The house is at a great location in downtown Philadelphia. Convenient kitchen, 4 rooms and bathrooms. The house being in downtown area, has no free parking. There were too many rules with regards to what we can do in the house and what things would be incur a fine. We have used vacation homes in teh past through various websites but never encountered restrictions to this extent. Some of the examples are - internet usage limit of 200 mb per day, covering futons with sheets, making sure we not just load the dishwasher but actually empty it, etc. I only wish these rules and restrictions were informed before we actually booked the house. We only found out these after we booked and there is no refund policy.
Its a nice place but you feel like you are walking on your toes to avoid a fine.
Our group (of 8) recently stayed in this spacious, well situated townhouse. Everyone remarked how perfect it was. The floor plan was excellent, with plenty of room on the lower floor for everyone to spread out and relax, the kitchen was perfect for our needs and the bedrooms upstairs were comfortable and quiet. It's a great house in a great location and it's a great value. I could go on but I'd just end up repeating the rave reviews of others who have stayed here.
My family came for my graduation ceremony so I found this place online. It was my first time reserving a vacation home instead of a hotel room and it was totally worth it. Though a family left the same day we arrived, the house was perfectly clean and in order by our arrival time. Kaitlin, our host, was very patient, understanding and helpful.
The home is really beautiful and close to a couple of great spots for sight seeing like the Independence Park. It is also located between center city and old city, so you can walk or use the local transportation (a block or two away) to either to enjoy what Philadelphia has to offer. There are also nice restaurants to grab a fancy meal if you choose not to cook.
All in all, my family and I were pleased with the trip and had nothing but good comments about this home by the time we left.
I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to spend a few nights in Philly.
9 of us had the pleasure of staying in this absolutely beautiful, spacious and meticulous town house (the pictures do not do it justice) the 1st weekend of March to attend the flower show and tour the city. The location is outstanding, extremely close to the Convention Center, the Reading Terminal Food Market, Liberty Bell, Independence Hall etc...we walked to everything in 5 - 10 minutes. I had many conversations with the owner, Kaitlin who is delightful and extremely helpful. The town house has three floors , the first is an extremely large kitchen/living area where we enjoyed meals, drinks and great conversation. The second and third floors each have two perfect size bedrooms , each with its own full bathroom. There is also a powder room downstairs. The town house is fully equipped with all the essentials you will need. I believe the town house is well over 2,000 sq. ft. which is amazing to find in the center of a major city. My girlfriends and I would all highly recommend this town house and hope to return next year. Kaitlin, thank you so much for sharing your magnificent town house with us at an extremely reasonable rate.
