Welcome to the Laurel View Lodge. Our newer log home is very expansive with 20ft cathedral ceilings in the main living room and formal dining room. A loft looks down into both rooms. Numerous windows & skylights bathe the home in natural light. Furnishings are luxurious, featuring leather furniture, huge dining table, the latest electronics, high-end beds/mattresses, and tasteful mountain decor. Main floors are oak, with carpeting on first floor. The kitchen is modern, completely equipped, has a dining island and opens nicely to all other rooms and views. The cooks are not isolated from the fun. Multiple glass doors open from the dining/living room onto the spacious porch & deck with Jacuzzi, gas BBQ and rocking chairs. The first level is designed for kids, young and old. It has its own entrance, deck, living room w/TV, stereo, game table and board games, separate game room w/pool table and foosball, bedroom, large bath w/Jacuzzi tub and laundry room.
The Lodge is set on 3 private acres that go all the way up to the ridge, hence no neighbors looking down from above. The property is steep, but a rewarding hike to the ridge top, which is then very moderate. At the bottom of the short driveway is a very walkable, peaceful neighborhood of well kept mountain homes. There are only 2 houses on our road and the road itself is flat. As shown in the photo, nearby is the picturesque cascading stream that runs through the valley and is a delight to explore.

We arrived to a great, clean welcoming cabin on Saturday morning. The pictures here on VRBO do not do the place justice. The view is amazing and though we are high and secluded the valley floor and all the shops are just 15 minutes away. This is a modern cabin with great flatscreen TV's and a full surround sound system. Our solitude and peaceful days were only interrupted by the flapping of the humming birds as they visited our feeder on the front porch. Highly recommend this cabin to everyone! We'll be back!
