Situated on 1 acre facing the magnificent Longs Peak and the dominating peaks of the Mummy Range, our home will embrace you with space without losing the cozy feeling of a mountain retreat. There are three focal areas for you to spend your time depending on your mood. The main floor consists of a vaulted ceiling pine-paneled moss rock fireplace family room with skylights (one that opens for fresh air) that accommodates a lazy evening or cool day daydreaming about what the rest of the world is doing. Three bedrooms flank this room: the fishing bedroom, the cottage bedroom and the blue bedroom with the upstairs bathroom with an old-fashioned claw foot bathtub for soaking aching hiking muscles. Climbing four stairs brings you into the large great room consisting of a dining room, small bay window table for games and quick snacks, tv and sitting area. Continuing through the sliding glass door puts you on the front deck that provides plenty of sun and views of the magnificent Rockies (one of the best views of Longs Peak), wild life and fresh pine air. Going down the stairs will bring you to the open walk-out basement that consists of a sitting area, a king-sized bed, a double bed, laundry room and bathroom with a shower. All of this provides enough space for everyone to either be together or to do your own thing.

About LeAnn

This property has been in our family for over 55 years. It has been an on-going labor of love to remodel and expand to meet our family’s needs. We love to come and just ‘veg’, forgetting about phones and the outside world for a time to recharge our batteries. With the downtown for shopping excursions and the park so close for hiking, we never lack for things to do when we are in the mood. I, for one, love to sit by the fire in the evening and enjoy the quiet sounds of the wind blowing through the pines.

Why LeAnn chose Rocky Mountain National Park

Estes Park has been a relaxing getaway spot for over 130 years because it is the closest access to the Rockies from Denver without having to travel freeways and fighting traffic. It has been great for our family because of it's locale and convenience and providing a place for us to enjoy the mountains and the fresh pine air.

What makes this house unique

Our location is between downtown Estes and Rocky Mountain National Park which makes it convenient to either enjoy shopping or hiking. We are remote enough from downtown that you still can feel secluded from all of the other visitors to Estes.

Great location, lovely view, well maintained.

The cabin is spacious. Our kids enjoyed the big basement very much. The view from the breakfast table is fantastic! It is very close to the park entrance, therefore reducing driving time significantly. Last but not the least, the owner is very attentive, always responds to my enquiries quickly. Thank you LeAnn, we had a nice time and everyone of our group now has some fond memories of the stay.

Just like home.

We were very happy with our stay. The kitchen had many little things that came in very handy. The location was perfect. 5 minutes to the park and 7 minutes to town.

Even a group of 5 mule deer stayed by the deck for a couple hours one day.

This is definitely on our short list to stay in again.

Wonderful location, great house

Location is amazing; we walked into the park and to the visitor center to take the shuttle to Bear Lake skipping the lines. The house feels like I am vising an old friend's home. The kitchen is small but stocked well with all sorts of cookware, dishes and gadgets...including spices! The layout worked great for us. Two living areas on the main floor with three bedrooms and a bathroom. The dining area has a big table for evening meals for great conversations about the adventures of the day! The deck is wonderful. Watching the changing views of the diamond on Long's peak are mesmerizing! We watched a heard of elk in the back of the house, dear outside the bedroom windows. What fun!! The basement is one big area including two queen/full beds with a couch, TV and chairs, full bath plus laundry. Great for a quieter hangout area. Covered parking area. I would stay here again and recommend to friends.

Wonderful cabin

My family spend one week staying in this wonderful cabin. It's really more of a four bedroom 2 bath house. It is an older home, so comfortable and cozy, kind of reminds you of staying at grandma's house growing up. The cabin was very clean and orderly upon our arrival. There were 5 members in our family so everyone had their on bedroom. We loved all the space this cabin offers for everyone to spread out. The cabin is very well stock for a pleasant stay. You can tell this cabin is loved by the owner family. We saw elk and mule deer on several occasions in the yard and surrounding areas. We liked the convenient location of the cabin next to the Beaver Meadows entrance RMNP. You can see the park entrance from the cabin deck.

We used this as home base for all our week's activities which included, drives and hikes in the park, horseback trail rides, rafting trip, downtown shopping, Stanley Hotel tour, trip to Boulder, etc.

We would certainly recommend this to others and stay here again ourselves. The owner family was very pleasant to work with. I would challenge anyone to find this much square footage for the money in Estes Park. Many people pay more and stay in a smaller sterile condo but we certainly enjoyed the quaint charm of this cabin.

SECURITY DEPOSIT: A security deposit of $200 is required to confirm your reservation. Any damages to the property will be deducted from this amount and guests will be notified. Guests receive their returned deposit in approximately 10 days of their departure.
