Come experience the re-opening of the storied Mauna Kea Beach Hotel following a $150 Million renovation. Already known and recognized for its classic elegance, and unrivaled natural beauty, the hotel has undergone a thorough transformation to bring it up to modern standards of luxury. For families and larger parties, staying at a private home like ours offers a compelling alternative.

Wai'ula'ula, where our home is located, is a gated community, and one of the newest developments at the Mauna Kea Resort. As you can see from the photo gallery, the home was professionally decorated in an elegant and tasteful way, with high quality furnishings and appointments. Our 3bedroom/3bathroom condo provides more than ample space for one or more couples and is perfect for a family. There are two master bedrooms with king-size beds and full en suite bathrooms for privacy. The third bedroom has two twin beds.

Have the best of both worlds : Enjoy the convenience of staying in a private home with a professional kitchen and laundry, while enjoying the facilities at the resort's two hotel properties. We belong to the Mauna Kea's Amenity Program so our guests have full access to the services and amenities at both the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel and Hapuna Prince Hotel just like they would as a hotel guest. These include: residential concierge, pools, beach service, dining, golf, tennis, spa and exercise facilities. And if you are not in the mood to venture to the hotels that day, Wai'ula'ula has its own private amenity center, close to our home, that boasts an infinity-edged pool, kids pool, two hot tubs, fitness center, lounge area, clubhouse, and outdoor grilling and dining area.

I am the homeowner, and I work directly with you on the rental. I strive to make the process as simple and stress-free for my guests as possible, and help to accommodate every extra request they may have. For example, rental of baby equipment (e.g., high chairs, cribs, play pens) and/or roll-away beds, stocking of fridge prior to arrival, transportation, etc can all be arranged. I believe the very positive feedback our guests have left for us (please see Guestbook tab) is a testament of this, which differentiates us and hope will factor favorably into your decision.

Relaxing tropical retreat

We had a lovely stay in this great property. The place was spacious for my wife and I with our two daughters. We enjoyed the access to the two hotels when we desired as well as the quiet of having a "home base" away from the bustle of the hotels. We really enjoyed our stay.

Excellent property

We stayed at this property for a week in February and had a wonderful vacation. The property is clean, nicely decorated. The beds and linens are comfortable. We really appreciate the details such as fresh flower, and fruits platter welcome us when we arrived. Booking directly with the owner was stress free and responsive. You can't beat the location, and access to a range of activities, yet it offers you the relax, and exclusiveness feel. The beach at Mauna Kea is delightful. We travel to the islands often and has always stay at vacation property, this one is in our top list. Thanks!

Art and Camdena's Marvelous Adventure!!

It was the only way to spend my 50th birthday. Arthur and I had the best time cooking, whale watching, golfing, hiking and swimming during our stay. Keenan and his manager Dianna made the trip so easy and everything is exactly, or better than the pictures depict. We stayed at Wai Ula Ula before but this experience surpassed that working with great people. The condo was spotless with the most fantastic fresh flowers. The top of the line appliances made cooking and cleaning effortless and enjoyable. The beds were so comfortable. I will definitely go back.

This is our second stay in this lovely property!

We came last year and we came again for another two week stay! Attributes are: cleanliness, tasteful and professional interior design, ocean view with sunsets, quiet, a well equipped kitchen with quality items, its location (minutes from everything), option of amenity pass access to Hapuna and Mauna Kea resorts and beaches, not to mention professional and responsive dealings with the owner (no middle man). Whether you're active (which we are) or inactive, you can't beat what this property has to offer. We don't like to stay on a resort property with resort prices but like the ability to enjoy the beaches, pools, gym and tennis with preferred parking access and then leave the scene to the tourists and retreat to this wonderful and peaceful property. If you're golfers, it even gets better! Even if you never leave Waiulaula you still have access to their gym, pool and hot tub. Lastly, if you like to start the day with a walk or run, this is a perfect place to do that too with no traffic and lovely coastal views. Thanks again Keenan!

We stayed at this property over Christmas week. We could not have had a better time. The condo itself was spacious and tastefully decorated.The views were amazing, perfect sunsets every night. Close to the clubhouse with its infinity pool, and work out room, but not too close for noise. Access to our two favorite beaches was an added bonus ( Hapuna and Mauna Kea).We would definitely recommend this property and are looking forward to staying again. Thanks Keenan!

My husband and I had an excellent vacation staying here and will return

This beautiful home is exactly what the photos depict and even nicer in person. The quiet location is minutes from both the Mauna Kea and Hapuna Beach resorts. We purchased the amenity pass for privileges at both resorts which we highly recommend. Even though the complex has a beautiful pool and fitness facility, we went to the resorts every day to swim, play tennis, work out in the gym and relax on the beach. Morning coffee and evening dinners were very enjoyable with the immaculate and well stocked kitchen. The owner was responsive and very professional. We'll definitely go back again!
