I have lived on Fort Myers Beach for over thirty years. I can be a valuable resource to those not familiar with the area and interested in learning more about Southwest Florida.

This property has been in the family for quite some time.
The home is on a shallow canal that leads directly to Estero Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. The neighborhood is quiet with many opportunities to enjoy nature and a large variety of birds and wildlife.
My husband and I stayed here with our 19 year old son. The two bedrooms and two bathrooms worked great for us. It was very nice to have a washer and dryer to use. We used the kayaks every day to go out to the bay. We saw dolphins, turtles, crabs, and birds. We did not use the bikes that were available but it was nice to have the option. The beach is a very short walk away. The owner was very helpful and allowed us to stay late on our departure day.
We enjoyed a fabulous week in this cozy, comfy and well-equipped home. Our 2 terriers were welcome! The beds are great, bathrooms bright and pristine, and the kitchen has you might need. Kayaking the canals with access to the bay was a favorite activity and the beach is barely a hop skip and jump - great biking opportunities as well. The best aspect is location: This cottage is situated on a canal (think jumping mullet and birds) in a very quiet, serene neighborhood yet in close proximity to everything! The owner and the manager (brother -in-law) next door could not have been more pleasant or accommodating!
While the kitchen hasn't been updated, it was a nice size and well equipped. Beds were comfortable. It was nice to have the kayaks to use. Easy walk to the beach and trolley stop. We had a wonderful, relaxing week and would definitely stay here again.
