Hello Haim,

We've left the apartment about an hour ago. We enjoyed the place and

found it to be aa oasis to escape the madness of this great city. We

had a lot of fun and we'll be back. Cheers. Madeleine

Spacious, Comfortable, Quiet, Great Location

  • 5 of 5

We four women stayed here four nights in October. Since the place is just off Houston St, we expected lots of noise all night; however, this place is wonderfully quiet. While there is just one bathroom, we managed very well. The place is roomy so that we were not tripping over each other. The beds are memory foam mattress types, so extremely comfortable. Coffee maker was a salvation, and with Whole Foods down about 4-5 blocks away, we were set for breakfast. The metro was close, providing the F line, which takes you both up and downtown very quickly. Lots of restaurants very close. This place is a hidden gem!

Wonderful Space - Great Location

  • 5 of 5

So enjoyed our stay at Haim's converted synagogue (!). Close to the subway and incredible restaurants, and at a price that didn't break the bank. There was plenty of room for the six of use (5 from California who arrived to celebrate our Columbia University son / brother's 30 birthday). Such a lovely time. Highly recommend.

Amazing location

  • 5 of 5

The apartment was very homey, comfortable and quite spacious by NY standards. The location was unbelievable. Right in the heart of downtown, a quick walk to the lower east side, east and west village, SOHO, NOLITA, little italy, china town etc. The F train was close but for many destinations you would have to walk a bit or transfer trains. Haim was friendly and thorough with instructions to help maximize your comfort. The apartment was equipped with most everything you need for a stay in the city. The flat is just off of houston street, which is quite busy, yet it was very quiet inside. You could hear a little street noise on the main floor(i am a very light sleeper and it did not disturb me) but the downstairs was totally quiet. Overall this was a great find in a great location at a great price. The only slightly inconvenient aspect of this apartment is that it is not a 'true' 2 bedroom. Most NY apartments i saw for rent were not real 2 bedrooms either. This apartment has 2 floors, each serving as a separate living space and separated by a spiral staircase, there is no door. The upstairs has the main entrance, the kitchen and the bathroom. The downstairs is more private and isolated from the street noise, but you can hear everything happening upstairs very clearly and sometimes quite loud. This was not a problem for us and we made it work but I thought i would explain it since it wasn't exactly clear to me before my arrival. Who ever in your group stays downstairs will hear everything happening upstairs and whoever in your group stays upstairs will not have much privacy if anyone needs the kitchen, bathroom, or front door. Again not a problem for us but good to know. Thanks again to Haim for sharing his historic little gem in a prime location.

Great time in a great location!

  • 5 of 5

An extended family of 6 stayed comfortably in the apartment for a week. The apartment was very clean. It was very spacious, the kitchen was much bigger than we were expecting. Whole Foods is just a couple of blocks away as was the subway. Neighborhood seemed safe. Would definitely stay again!

Unique Vibe - Fun Experience

  • 4 of 5

Our family of 5 stayed in this unique East Village duplex for our first time in NYC and were very happy with the stay. It is located close to the Whole Foods Market and subway station. There are parks nearby for our youngest child. This location seemed to be filled with young, single people with restaurants and bars close by. Haim met us at the duplex and walked us through everything. He was very helpful. Our only complaint would be that the beds are very hard, but we were so exhausted from our adventures that we didn't mind too much. It was a great place for us to introduce our kids to a part of NYC that they would be living in if they were young adults.

Great location

  • 5 of 5

This is the spot to be! Walking distance to the subway, great foods and bars. My friends and I enjoyed our stay here. We were able to get around and explore NY very easily. Haim was very easy to get in touch with. He met us outside the apartment and showed us around. I was able to text him to let him know when I was leaving and checked out. There was plenty of towels in the bathroom for our use and the apartment was nice and clean.
