Tennessee Cabin Rental Photos and Description

3 Bedrooms cabin on 6.5 acres of privacy with the serenity of nature

This is a great location for all the attractions yet a quiet retreat to get back in touch with nature tucked away in the valley. Don't miss out on this magical opportunity for you to experience the privacy and beauty meant for people who want to enjoy the treasures that nature has to offer. Enjoy the beautiful sunsets and quiet nights by the fire place or sitting outside by the fire pit along side the pond with friends, family or that special someone.

Entertainment is throughout the cabin and property for adults, teens and children. We have a basketball net and basketballs for a fun game with one another or play a game of horse shoes. There are 2 swings that hang from one of our many large trees on the property. Children's toys in the closet, board games inside the pantry, dart board, and table top pin ball machine. There is DVD movie selections. The cabin is located on 6.5 acres of private valley setting with creeks that trickle into a pond and mountains surrounding you. You can toss your line in the stocked pond and fish (catch & release) or just feed the fish with the food we supply for you. We have horseshoes and a fire pit. Come have fun!

Your occassional desire for activity is quenched with the perfect location minutes from action-packed family fun and entertainment, Sevierville convention, Tanger Outlet Shopping, affordable attractions, rides, amusements, popular Dollywood & Splash Country theme parks, theater, shows, museums, hiking the Great Smokey Mountains and/or explore the Forbidden Caverns on the guided tours beneath the foothills, horseback riding, whitewater rafting, The Zorb, helicopter rides and of course down home hospitality and dining.

I also have 1 more cabin on 4.25 acres of the 11 acres property at HomeAway #3632498. Both have beautiful views and a lot of activities.

About Dee Vincent

We moved to Tennessee 2007 and built a cabin on top of a mountain and in 2008 we built this cabin in the valley. We would like to share the valley cabin with visitors to the Pigeon, Forge, Sevierville, Gatlinburg and Knoxville.

Make your memories start here, we did!

Dee Vincent purchased this cabin in 2007

Why Dee Vincent chose Tennessee

We chose to build vacation rentals in this location because it is off the beaten path but close enough for all attractions and activities around. When we moved down we needed to stay in a rental cabin for 2 weeks and decided then we would build a cabin with no neighbor cabins next door to you and your family. Great place to have it all!

What makes this cabin unique

Enjoy the lush mountain surroundings in the summer, the colors in autumn, or come visit in the winter we decorate for holidays, ski in Ober Gatlinburg. Snuggle up in front of the fire place, read a good book or watch one of the 100 selections of movies supplied by us.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We enjoyed your delightful cabin while celebrating our 28th wedding anniversary. We enjoyed the hot tub each evening which felt good to our tired hiking bones (Rainbow fall and Abrams Falls). My fisherman hubby had fun practicing casting his line for his upcoming Boundary waters fishing trip and we had fun feeding the fish.

Our last evening we roasted brats and marshmallow's over the fire. It was always good to arrive back to a secluded, peaceful cabin.

Thanks so much

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!

  • 1 of 5

We arrived at the property on 7/23. The thermostat on the wall said the cabin was 78 degrees, but the air was set on 73 (prior to arrival, which she also later called us a liar about this too). It quickly became 81 degrees. We gave it about an hour, and the temperature had not lowered. We left for dinner and called Dee (owner). I explained the air was not cooling and she stated that she couldn't get anyone to work on it that night. I said that's fine, we are staying tonight, but if it doesn't cool down, we are not going to stay at your cabin. Dee then said, "well that's rude!"... And then HUNG UP the phone. We went to dinner, she called back and I said I wasn't rude to you, I was just letting you know that it was not working properly and the cabin was uncomfortable... The owner then replied, "no you were rude and blasting me, you are welcome to leave." We told her that it was late and we could not find a room, that we would stay the night and see how it went (we would have left then, but literally EVERY thing was booked). She texted the next morning on 7/24 and said she would send an AC tech out. The AC was still not cooling down properly, so we cut the thermostat off thinking maybe the unit was froze up (this is common sense, we never lowered the thermostat from the 73 it was set on). After leaving it off 15-20 mins, we attempted to turn the thermostat back on. It would not turn on... When the switch was flipped to cool, the actual thermostat screen would not come on and let you choose the temperature. We were unable to get it to come back on, so had no choice but to leave it in the off position. We then called her and let her know that we would be leaving (as she had agreed to in the phone call the night before). We cleaned the cabin properly and washed the sheets for the one bed that we had slept in. She then sent very rude text messages that nothing was wrong with the AC, it was user error, and that we would be charged for the full stay because it was our choice to leave. (After the fact I read the most current review that stated the people before us HAD THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM, SO CLEARLY THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE AIR... SEE PREVIOUS REVIEW AND HER RUDE RESPONSE TO THOSE GUESTS).

Besides the actual AC not working, the pictures of the cabin and the pond are very deceiving. The wifi provided is from a Verizon hot spot which uses cell phone service (we have Verizon phones and the signal strength is very weak at

Great cabin, bad service.

  • 3 of 5

The house is very convenient to Sevierville, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. It's tucked away off of a main road, so you definitely feel like you are in a secluded spot, but are may be 10 minutes from a grocery store (big plus for us!) The cabin is clean- and while the furniture is dated, it is well-kept and definitely comfortable. The pond is nice, but the grass around the pond was pretty overgrown so I worried a little bit about my child walking through it (snakes).

When we arrived at the cabin, it was very hot. I immediately texted the owner (my service wasn't good enough to call and there's not a house phone, no problem) and she indicated that the previous guest must had frozen the unit (probably true). We followed her very specific instructions for thawing it out and went to dinner. When we got home, it was still very hot in the house. Because it was after 8 PM and we have a small child, we had to suffer through it. It was a MISERABLE night. I texted the owner that night, but did not get a reply until the morning indicating that she would send someone out.

Even though the point of renting a cabin was to spend time AT the cabin, we were forced to leave again as temperatures were well above 85 degrees in the house. When we returned for the day, no improvement, but the A/C guys showed up (it was never communicated to us that they would be coming to fix the unit, but I was glad to see them). They get the thawed out, but then the unit begins to leak....all over the floor in my daughter's room. Of course, this is at bedtime and we had to clean it up with towels from the house (and then wash them so that we could use them after our showers in the morning).

On our third and final day, the A/C guys show up at about 6 PM to check on the leak- it stopped, so they didn't have to do anything, but we had no idea that they would be coming right at dinnertime....the point of the trip was seclusion and relaxation!

To summarize, I totally understand that these things happen and that they are out of the owner's control. However, I do not like having to deal with something every single day of my vacation and being forced to leave for dinners, etc. because the place is too hot. I feel like we should receive a partial refund for the constant inconveniences during our stay.

Owner's Response: Unfortunately I did not know that the ac was going to have some issues while you stayed there and I worked through things to get it up and running immediately. When you had notified me that the cabin was hot I worked through things with you to figure out what was happening to the unit. As I told you when you turned the temperature down to 60 and the unit froze up and it needed to thaw out. Thanks to people turning the unit down and freezing my unit, I get the water in my cabin and it was going to leak the water somewhere. Thanks for cleaning up the mess you made by freezing the unit. I had told you the ac man would be out in the morning to fix the problem which was not a leak and he told you he would be back to check the unit to be sure it was still working correctly. They did not need to come in the cabin they only checked the condensing unit outside. Some people just are never satisfied no matter what you do!

Delightful cabin with privacy and seclusion

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I rented Dee's cabin as we celebrated our anniversary. The outdoor hot tub was a wonderful way to relax our weary bones from time spent hiking in the mountains. My husband enjoyed trying his new lures in the pond and we had fun feeding the fish. The last night we roasted brats and marshmallows over the fire pit. The cabin was tasteful, very clean, well stocked with personal touches such as books and games, and very comfortable. It was a joy to come back to a peaceful setting with seclusion. Thanks for sharing your delightful cabin with us, Dee!

Beautiful setting

  • 5 of 5

Perfect little get away, 5 days was not enough! No trouble whatsoever, just relaxing. I am glad we stayed in Seiverville rather than closer to the main drag because the traffic near Dollywood was terrible (it was spring break). I highly recommend the Hatfield and Mccoy dinner show that is closer to the cabin. 1 day in Gatlinburg where the traffic was, let's just say fun but we were ready to go back to our nice quiet cabin!

Great place to stay close to everything!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay at the Sweet Valley Cabin! The weather was cold and wet but the cabin was warm and cozy! Socked with everything you could possibly need for a great time, we cooked breakfast everyday and grilled out in the evening. You are within 10 minutes to grocery stores and 5 to downtown Sevierville, the location is great! The only negative which really can't be helped is the fact that once you take the fork to your cabin the drive way becomes very steep and narrow, this could have been an issue if it snowed or iced over but this is typical to the entire area. However, because of this drive and the cabins location in the valley you have absolute privacy, thanks for sharing your home!

Owner's Response: We try to have everything available for our guests, love to hear it was cozy and warm! People who are not used to a mountainous area it may seem steep and narrow. That's living in the mountains. What all the guests come here for. Thank you for visiting and hope you return in the future.
