About The Owner

Judi and I built this home in 1974 and then purchased the home back in 2009. We have done almost all of the work in building the home originally and in the remodel as well. We pride ourselves in providing all of the comforts of home away from home without being intrusive. We are always just a phone call away and are constantly looking for ways to improve your stay with us. Please leave us a review so we can better serve you on your next visit.

The Owner purchased this house in 1974

Why The Owner chose South Carolina Lakes & Blackwater Rivers

This was our first home we built together and we felt the comfort should be shared with others. We felt it was appropriate to place the angel weather vane that was gifted to us on the roof and name the home Angels Roost. We hope you agree with this being a 1 acre piece of Heaven on earth after your stay with us.

What makes this house unique

The wonderful sunrises over the pastures with the rolling hills straight in front of the home makes the stay so peaceful while being only minutes from all activities. 15 miles from Augusta, 2 miles from downtown Aiken, 2 miles to Highfields Equestrian Center, minutes from over 30 restaurants, shopping and activities.

My tennis team competed in Aiken this weekend and stayed at this lovely home. Very convenient to downtown, very comfortable, clean and spacious!!! We could not have felt more at home, can't wait until next year to return :D

Fantastic home away from home!

  • 5 of 5

Angels Roost is the first VRBO rental that I've done, and I was extraordinarily pleased with the results. Being away with 6 horses and 5 women, is very stressful, but having a house 10 minutes from the barn is heaven. Close to everything, and clean!

We will certainly be renting for our trip next year!

Thank you Jerry!!!

A Great House for Family Reunions

  • 5 of 5

My children and I, from 3 different states, met in Aiken for a family reunion. We stayed in 2 separate locations and both houses worked out perfectly for us. This house has 4 nice bedrooms and 3 updated , very clean, bathrooms.

The spacious family room was perfect for playing cards, catching up with each other and watching football games. We didn't cook very much but there is adequate supplies if you need them. For a summer retreat , the backyard is well landscaped and has a large in ground pool .

The owner is easy to work with and responsive to your needs.

Dixie boys World Series

  • 5 of 5

We were in Aiken for Dixie Boys World Series. It was wonderful. After a hot day in the sun watching ballgames it was so nice to come to a place that felt like home. It was clean and very comfortable.

A weekend retreat

  • 4 of 5

This property was well maintained and welcoming. My family had a great time in the pool and enjoyed the fresh baked cookies welcoming us to the home.

Only disappointment was that the jacuzzi would never get hot. Jerry was responsive to our request and adjusted the mode/temperature for summer setting. However, it never got above body temperature so it felt colder than the swimming pool. The pool & jacuzzi were the main reasons we chose this home. I hope Jerry is able to get a technician to check out the thermostat or something to fix it for the future.

Despite this limitation, we still had a wonderful time and would recommend this property to fellow travelers. It is very relaxing place & the downtown area has various types of unique shops & restaurant; Aiken also has other chain restaurants & shops too.
