Jacksonville, Florida is our home and we love all the benefits of living here and having our family here, but Beech Mountain and its ambience calls to us and has been doing so for fifteen years. Throughout the years, we've built many wonderful memories on the mountain, and are thrilled to have the opportunity to share this home with you, so you too can create special memories with family and friends.
Barbi Taylor purchased this cabin in 2008
We fell in love with Beech Mountain in 2000, and have been returning ever since. Summers on Beech provide an invigorating respite from the heat, autumn brings not only beautiful fall colors but weekends filled with mountain festivals, followed by the all the joyful experiences a winter wonderland can offer. Each season has its special appeal and provides opportunities for enjoying the many associated activities. Its central location allows easy access to the Blueridge Parkway, the Appalachian Trail, Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls and Gorge, Blowing Rock and so much more! Come see for yourself!!!
Our home is cozy enough for a couple or large enough for friends and family to share. Surrounded by woods on three sides, it gives you the sense of being in a tree house yet has expansive views you can enjoy from both inside the house and outside on the large decks. Enjoy quiet time in front of one of two fireplaces; have an old-fashioned family game night 'round the large oak table (cards, poker chips, as well as time tested board games provided); or watch the sun set while roasting marshmallows outside at the fire ring. Come make some memories!
What an amazing weekend we had! Thank you so much for making your mountain home available for us. Everything was in working order and exceptionally clean and comfortable. The folks you have taking care of your cabin are doing an amazing job. It is obvious you love your home. So many wonderful treats! A fully stocked kitchen, linens, soap, tissue paper and paper towels, coffee supplies, and so much more!
The property was even more lovely than we had anticipated. The pictures do not do it justice. It is a lovely home with plenty of space and very nice furnishings. In addition it was stocked with so many items that were a wonderful surprise… Coffee, creamer, sugar, spices, etc. The views are fantastic and it's relatively close to Beech Mountain skiing. The property owner was very helpful and was very quick to reply with anything we needed.
We were able to get away with our entire family after a very busy Christmas season. The Taylor's have an amazing house which was great for the 8 people in our group. There is a "payoff" for the short distance off of the the main road, fairly steep driveway, and steps up to the main level ... an incredible view of Beech Mountain (including Ski Beech). It happened to snow the first night there which added to the beauty of this home sitting right in the middle of the woods. Deers walked right up to the back and 2 large porches made it a great place to relax. The temperatures were around zero during our stay but the home was extremely warm. The kitchen was well stocked and you have everything you need to make for a comfortable stay. The living room was "family friendly" with the warm fireplace. There was another den on the lower level which is great for kids or students who don't want to hang around the adults. Eva (who oversees the property) was very responsive and helpful with questions and issues. We enjoyed some quality time and created more family memories at Blueberry Junction. Thanks again Taylors for opening your home to us!
It felt like home when we walked in! There were even Christmas decorations throughout the house! Everything a family would need to relax and unwind is here. Anything that we needed or forgot was at our fingertips. The home was very clean and comfortable! I would highly recommend this home and hope to return again!
Our stay at Blueberry Junction was wonderful. The owner was very nice to work with and was very responsive. We really appreciated the helpful instructions about the house as well as information about the area. The directions including photos of road signs were especially helpful driving up to the house as GPS does not work well in certain areas. We had no problems finding the house which is quite roomy, immaculate and nicely decorated. Much attention was given to details and we felt welcome. We also enjoyed rocking on the porch with the lovely view of the mountains across the valley. Most of the roads in the community are not paved, but are smooth and easy to take walks on, as we did. It really was quiet and peaceful. We did not spot any bears, but were graced by the presence of several deer grazing. This is a nice place!
Another wonderful stay at Blueberry Junction. The house is beautifully maintained and has all that you need. Situated in the perfect spot to enjoy the treasures of Beech Mountain and beyond. The owner is a pleasure to deal with, always responsive and helpful. We hope to return soon.
We stayed here over the Fourth of July and loved our time here. The house has everything you need and don't need. Supplied with items as if you were in your own home. There is plenty of room and the two spacious balconies are great, especially the one upstairs. We appreciate the detailed directions and instructions. We did find that our direction app had no problem finding the property. The home was so comfortable that we were happy if we ventured out or hung out for a little bit longer. The owners were very helpful and kind. Thank you for a delightful place. We enjoyed exploring around Beech Mountain and the neighboring towns.
