Great Family Vacation

  • 5 of 5

We just returned from spending a week in this wonderful home. The home easily accommodated my husband and I, our daughter and son-in-law and our three grandchildren ages 7, 9, & 11. The layout of the house was great, with 2 of the bedrooms having attached bathrooms and the children having their own bathroom complete with tub. The favorite room of the house was the game room with its pinball machine, pool table and ping pong table. The room is separate from the living room which gives the adults space to just relax. The juke box has a great selection of songs, including YMCA which we enjoyed dancing to! The availability of the dock was an added bonus, we rented a patio a boat for 3 days and it was great to have the boat at our own dock so we could come and go as we pleased. Smores on the Lake at Sunset were so yummy! We would highly recommend this home as a vacation getaway. Dealing with Carole Severe was so easy, she is so helpful and accommodating.

Great vacation home!

  • 5 of 5

Our family, including our two teenage children and two of their friends, recently stayed here and just loved it. The house itself is very clean, well-stocked, and comfortable, and is bigger than it looks. Since there wasn't much else to do around the lake at night, we found the pool table, ping pong, pinball, bumper pool, and jukebox to be great sources of entertainment in addition to the TVs, movies and board games. It was nice to be so close to Pines Village so the kids could easily walk there to get pizza, ice-cream, etc. I enjoyed spending the mornings reading on the deck after walking down to the village for a delicious latte. We rented a boat for 3 days and although this house includes a nice dock we chose to keep it at the marina since the staff there was so helpful. The marina is also just a 5 minute walk. The rental manager answered all of our questions and was very easy to work with. Not all homes here have AC, and considering how hot it can get we were glad this one did, although the beautiful trees around this home also help to keep it cool. We would highly recommend this property to anyone considering Bass Lake.

Excellent Choice

  • 5 of 5

My family, including three children and two other adults, recently stayed here for a week in the summer. The house is in a nice location with the Pine's Village a 5-minute walk and the lake about the same. The private dock is very nice and well maintained. My children loved the pool table, pinball, ping pong, etc. The house was very clean and well appointed. The large TV was a plus as well as the complimentary Wi-FI as cell phone reception is very weak in the area. We took a few day trips to Yosemite as the park entrance is only about 40-minutes away. Everything you need is at Pine's Village, but I would suggest stocking up on most of your food in the town (Oakhurst??) just outside of Bass Lake. It is a quick drive and has all of the stores and shops you will need. Their is a signficant cost savinigs as well. The real estate agent was a delight to work with and was prompt and courteous in all interactions. If we were to return, we would probably pay more for a lake front house simply due to my children's preferences. However, I would not hesitate to recommend this property, especially to families. It was very nice having three seperate bathrooms and plenty of space to relax and entertain. The large deck was a great place to eat and fairly private due to the wonderful mature trees.
