About the property

A perfect place for small gatherings, with hiking trails, views and creek.

Easy day trips can be made to the many Edna Valley Wineries, Hearst Castle, Morro Bay, Big Sur and Paso Robles.

The ranch house itself features 4200 square feet, with three spacious bedrooms, and one huge loft that doubles as a fourth bedroom/ game room. There are three bathrooms, a spacious living room with an open-beamed ceiling, wood-burning fireplace, and a beautiful baby grand piano.

There is a pool table in the loft, a ping pong table in the garage, croquet, as well as numerous outdoor and indoor games to play.

Why David Schinkel chose San Luis Obispo

If you are seeking peace and quiet, you just found it!

If you are interested in a small gathering, the ranch is ideal. The event prices is $5000. That includes housing for up to 10 people on the property.

Nestled in the midst of wine country, with only a short drive to downtown SLO. It is our hope that you would enjoy a truly exclusive opportunity to visit the Central Coast.

What makes this estate unique

I love driving through the vineyard, onto the open cattle range. Sometimes you see adorable calves roaming about, other times it may be deer wandering through. There is a creek that winds in between large, beautiful sycamore and oak trees. With wandering limbs; some down to the ground, these trees make a beautiful backdrop for pictures..

There is a baby grand piano, just provide the piano player. There is a pool table in the loft, and a ping pong table in the garage. There a numerous games for your family and friends to play.

You will have complete privacy on the ranch. The open range mile and a half, dead end, dirt road discourages sightseers. Also our road was tagged as one of the prettiest roads to walk in SLO.

On top of the hills of the Ernie Ball ranch, the views are incredible!!!

Come make some lifetime memories of your own!.

The best!

  • 5 of 5

Seriously couldn’t have asked for better accommodations. I really appreciate that David was on top of correspondence every time I sent a message. The house was gorgeous and the property was amazing which allowed for peaceful walks/hikes. We enjoyed sitting by the fire, hanging in the hot tub and playing pool/ping pong. Perfect place to keep young kids entertained and being mostly 1 level was super convenient for my father who isn’t able to climb stairs. The outside property was also perfect for our Easter egg hunt!

This was the first time my entire family has gotten together in about 15 yrs and we can’t wait to come back! Such a memorable wknd.

Thank you!

Great location for a change of scenery.

  • 4 of 5

We stayed here with 10 adults. The scenery is breathtaking. This is a good location for a group looking to hang out at the house and cook. It's 15 minutes from Pismo Beach, and about 25 to downtown San Luis Obispo. It was nice to feel so secluded, surrounded by greenery and cows. The reason I didn't give it four stars: it was a bit musty smelling on arrival but cleared out after a day. There isn't an up to date music system (only a cd player connected to a tv with no cds available) so bring your own portable speaker. It could have been dusted a little better. All in all, if I were looking for a private place surrounded by nature with a lot of near by options, I would definitely stay here again, and recommend it to anyone looking for something similar. Bonus points for looking at grazing cows while showering, and the hooting owls at night. The house representative was VERY easy to communicate with before and during our stay. Lastly, the cell reception wasn't great, but the wifi made it easier. Once you hit the main road, reception kicks in. This was not an inconvenience for anyone in our group.

Beautiful, Quiet and Fun!

  • 5 of 5

We celebrated Christmas at this beautiful property, enjoying the quiet beauty and the many amenities - fireplace, hot tub, ping pong table, pool table, piano, and a well-equipped kitchen. Sitting on this porch feels like we're a million miles away, but restaurants, wineries, beaches, and shopping are an easy 15 minute drive. The home is large, warm, and spacious, with lots of private rooms and nooks that allowed for our family to spread out, without ever being far away.

The property manager was outstanding, responding to our inquiries immediately, and always available and accommodating! A perfect holiday home!

five stars!

  • 5 of 5

Northern CA and Southern CA branches of the family (6 adults, 4 kids) met here for Thanksgiving. Kitchen was very well equipped for cooking full turkey dinner. The cousins found lots of good stuff in the game closet (legos, puzzles), the garage (ping pong, croquet) and the loft (pool, video games). The video library offered a vast selection. We loved the "cave man" bathtub. All agreed we should do it again.
