The Taos night sky is indeed amazing! This romantic getaway features a wood burning fireplace, central heat and air conditioning and a well equipped gourmet kitchen. We love to travel in comfort and style and know you will appreciate this cozy retreat...
Why the Owner Chose Taos: We fell in love with the location of this property. The elms and cottonwoods tower over this little dead-end street that is just off of Kit Carson Road. It is quiet and the end of the street is actually all Pueblo Land up to the base of the sacred mountain. You can hear the coyotes there at night. It is also convenient to El Monte Sagrado's famous Anaconda Bar and a short walk to the Plaza.
The Unique Benefits of this House: We love morning and evening on the front porch watching the magpies that live in a tree about 50 feet away. We like the view of the mountain from the patio where we dine in the summer. In the winter we like the fireplace and the smell of pinon pine in the air. Most nights we are there, we soak in the spa with a night-cap and enjoy the marvelous night sky in Taos.
As your hosts, Lance and Holly pride themselves on making your stay as luxurious and comfortable as possible. They love to travel and have rented on VRBO around the globe. As full time professionals they are starting to slow down and take more time off. They especially love Taos and have 2 additional rental homes listed as well.
Lance McIntosh purchased this house in 2007

All the comforts of home. Very clean, well maintaOnes, & appointed. Hot tub was clean & hot. Visiting skunk the first night but no problems. Close to Taos Old Town & other attractions. Especially enjoyed dinner at Lamberts!
As usual, we had a very pleasant stay. Weather was perfect..house was comfortable and peaceful. Thanks!
Comfortable linens, bathrobes and modern kitchen.
Wow! What a gem among the pines and cedars. This house is everything and more and every need is provided for among the provisions. The house is in great proximity to town, but peaceful and quiet. You can walk to wherever you need to go without having to hunt for parking and fight your way among the traffic. The little street is perfect for walking our little dog and the yard is very accommodating for the security of leaving our pet alone for a while. The house is gorgeous - not your typical vacation house which is typically sparse and minimally accommodating. This house has everything and more and can't wait to return. Lance and Holly really know how to do it right. Thank you both for a wonderful holiday.
We use VRBO properties typically twice per year, and this was the BEST one we have ever used. The photos do not do it justice, and I recommend the owners put a photo of the kitchen online, as it was the best stocked kitchen we have ever had on vacation! We enjoy cooking and it had everything. Also, the outside photos need explanation...there is a privacy fence that completely surrounds the home and there are various porches, and an area to grill. It was a perfect oasis! We noticed in one photo that it seemed to have a horseshoe pit and perhaps a bocce ball pit...and it did (the owners need to add that info to the listing). Even though it has wifi, we took our two teenagers outside and laughed through dozens of bocce ball tournaments and games of horseshoes! We understand how it would be perfect for two couples, but it should also state that it is fantastic for families. If you want a massage, the ones at the resort two houses down are wonderful, but you could save money by going to a place in town (a few minutes away at most). If you are used to a total spa experience, know that the nearby resort is not it, although the prices lead you to expect it. But back to this property...it was absolutely heaven and had more than we dreamed it could! It was a PERFECT SPOT!
Incredible accommodations!! The house is not only clean and comfortable, but also fully outfitted with everything you need and beautifully furnished! Truly sophisticated! Easy walk to the plaza, but tucked away on a quiet street nestled among great big trees. Will stay here every time we're in Taos!!
Our home feature a horseshoe court and a bocce ball court in the yard.
Other Activities: shopping, kayaking, cross country skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, wildlife viewing, horseshoes hot air ballooning
