Why the Owner Chose Taos: We fell in love with the location of this property. The elms and cottonwoods tower over this little dead-end street that is just off of Kit Carson Road. It is quiet and the end of the street is actually all Pueblo Land up to the base of the sacred mountain. You can hear the coyotes there at night. It is also convenient to El Monte Sagrado's famous Anaconda Bar and a short walk to the Plaza.
The Unique Benefits of this House: We love morning and evening on the front porch watching the magpies that live in a tree about 50 feet away. We like the view of the mountain from the patio where we dine in the summer. In the winter we like the fireplace and the smell of pinon pine in the air. Most nights we are there, we soak in the spa with a night-cap and enjoy the marvelous night sky in Taos.
As your hosts, Lance and Holly pride themselves on making your stay as luxurious and comfortable as possible. They love to travel and have rented on VRBO around the globe. As full time professionals they are starting to slow down and take more time off. They especially love Taos and have 2 additional rental homes listed as well.

Love Lance and Holly. No detail goes unforeseen in their houses. We always feel like it's home away from home in their properties. ❤
This was a great 'home away' find for our family. Everything was comfortable, beds included! The house is well stocked for anything you may need from extra linens to kitchen supplies. We had a great set up with 3 adults and 2 kids. The plaza is a little farther than I thought, but still okay to walk. Local restaurants were great, especially Mondo Italian. Hot tub was a life saver after a day on the slopes. Thank you, Lance and Holly, for hosting our family in your rental. It was great!
We just returned from an pre-Christmas 7-night stay at this beautiful home, and it was everything we hoped for..and more! The quaint adobe house is surrounded by a private courtyard and located on a very quiet street. The location is ideal and is close to just about everything---the Taos Plaza, churches, restaurants, grocery stores, entertainment, and even a casino! It is also just a short drive to Angel Fire or Taos Ski Valley--and we went to both place places! The house is beautifully furnished with a leather sofa and chairs, an antique dining table and chairs, updated bathrooms--two of the bathrooms also had beautiful vessel sinks sitting atop antique dressers (or sideboards.) A separate sitting room off the master bedroom contains an updated powder room and has a queen-size sleeper sofa which has an extra foam mattress! My two teenage granddaughters slept there and both said is was very comfortable! This home also has some unique and beautiful antique doors, which are literally pieces of art! The kitchen was my favorite part of the house--it has beautiful granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, including a nice gas stove (which I prefer!), and a hanging pot rack filled with copper pots! I knew we would be doing a lot of cooking and baking, and I was a little concerned about high-altitude baking being a problem, but we baked cookies, biscuits, pies, and rolls--as well as a full turkey and dressing dinner--and didn't have any problems at all with baking! The house has a nice, cozy fireplace and they supplied plenty of firewood--which came in handy during a couple of snowy days when temperatures were down to single digits! The hot tub was pre-heated and ready for us to use, and in spite of the sub-freezing temperatures, we still enjoyed it! There is also a nice washer and dryer--a big plus for 6 people who were staying for 7 nights! This house is a real gem and the owners, Lance and Holly, were a pleasure to work with and always responded to quickly to any questions I had! I would highly recommend this home to anyone who wants to stay in a place that makes you feel at home, and that is conveniently located to everything--plus it's dog friendly--something extremely important to me! I would highly recommend this home to any of my friends and family, and even hope to go back there again someday! Peggy Dunlap, Perrin, Texas
