Kauai Calls! Set Your Heart Free LLC,
Very, Very, Very Nice - Looking forward to our next visit. This sets the bar very high!
This place is in the perfect location and is absolutely beautiful. We stayed here for a week and just loved it. We were able to spend part of the day exploring the island and the rest at the resort relaxing and having fun in the pool. There are grocery stores, little shops, and places to eat right across the street. There are a few places within a few blocks to eat that you should not miss!! Even the location of this unit within the resort is great, right off the elevator, close to the lobby, and the ability to view the pool and see the ocean. We watched the sunrise every morning and the lighting of the torches around the pool every night. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.
We had two little ones with us and were provided with a pack 'n play (many thanks!!). We did rent the rest of the gear we needed which was able to be delivered without any issues and was waiting for us when we arrived.
My 3 year old loved the pool, especially the sandy bottom children's pool. We didn't have any success swimming or snorkeling on the beach at the resort but there is a nice place a very short distance away.
These were great accommodations! Candace, everything from info about unit, directions and tour or dining reservations made enjoying this beautiful island of Kauai even more pleasurable! Thank you!
An absolute gem of a condo! We had the pool and ocean view from every room in the condo. The condo was very clean, and everything we needed for a short stay was provided. The location of the resort is great -- Safeway and Foodland across the street as well as several good restaurants nearby. We appreciated the convenience of bike/boogie board rentals at the spa shop in the lobby, as well as the helpful recommendations from the concierge desk. The resort ground is beautiful and well maintained. The pool was a bit cold, but the slides were really fun.
Amazing unit, we would definitely return and recommend this unit to others! The pool is amazing and very popular. 2 waterslides, really great for kids of all ages. The units themselves have really nice amenities, marble countertops, large kitchens, high-end appliances, tons of space, flat screen TVs, washer/dryer, large bathrooms, separate tubs and showers. You'll enjoy your stay!
Would give 5 starts, but wifi was hard to connect to so researching other places to do on Kauai was a little difficult. Also, towel service closes rather early so you need to be prepared if you plan to stay out longer than their service.
I would highly recommend the Waipouli resort and particularly this unit. Having two en-suite bedrooms with a king in one and the other with two doubles was exactly what we needed. The unit was beautiful, modern, clean, and well-equipped. We loved the view from this unit and found it very peaceful and quiet despite being centrally located in the resort.
There were many spare clean sheets and bath towels if needed, and the in-room washing machine and dryer was extremely useful. The grocery stores located behind the resort were convenient. Like every condo in Hawaii we have stayed in, there are no cooking ingredients such as salt, pepper, or oil left from previous guests, so you will need to purchase these things but the kitchen is otherwise stocked with all you need to cook and eat in the unit. The unit did come with a full size dish soap, dish washing detergent, laundry detergent and toilet paper and shampoos etc in the bathrooms that lasted us the entire week. The bathrooms are particularly luxurious!
We would definitely stay here again and recommend this unit to anyone looking for a conveniently located resort that is family friendly with a great pool and nice beach!
We highly recommend:
- NaPali coast hike called the Kalalau Trail - strenuous but beautiful
- Limahuli Gardens - beautiful views and we learned a lot about native and invasive plants
- Tunnels beach - like no where else on the planet
- Waimea Canyon drive with scenic lookouts and hikes for those interested
- Poipu beach - we experienced amazing snorkeling with turtles, and there is a section for young children too
- Great dinner upstairs at Duke's in Lihue
- Spending a full day relaxing at the condo, enjoying the awesome pool and on-site restaurant with great cocktails. We found amazing coral walking on the stretch of beach at the resort while enjoying the ocean.
Thank you Candace - We hope to return!
Overall the unit is very comfortable, beautifully appointed and well stocked. It's proximity to Kapaa make for an easy walk into town or along the bike path. The grounds are fairly well kept. The pool is huge, but could be kept cleaner. There was quite a bit of debris from the grounds floating in the pool and the small stones used as a layer in the spas was very unusual. The restaurant located on the property served excellent food and drinks and the service was outstanding.
If you decide to book this unit I strongly suggest you opt for the insurance. Unfortunately we were forced to cancel our stay after only 3 nights due to a strong earthquake that took place at our home causing significant damage. Due to the circumstances I naively thought the owner would take this into account and provide a refund for the unused portion of our stay. NOT! This guy definitely does not know the meaning of the Aloha spirit!
