Kaunakakai House Rental Photos and Description

House, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6)

This amazing beach front home is located on beautiful Waialua Beach. From the deck, you are a few steps away from a pristine sandy beach, crystal clear waters, and amazing fishing and diving. The ocean in front of the house is perfect for swimming, snorkeling, diving, surfing, and many other water sports.

Have yourself a great adventure or just relax and enjoy the view and listen to the waves. There is interesting sea life everywhere as Molokai remains unspoiled and undeveloped. If you want to see true Hawaii, this is the place for you. Turtles cruise the shallows and whales frolic during the late winter and spring.

This three bedroom, two story house pole house has a deck which wraps around 3 sides of the house - perfect for lounging around and enjoying the peace!

My family and friends are from Waialua! We can suggest fishing charters, boat tours, dingy tours, snorkeling, guided hikes, etc! We want to make your Molokai experience truly special - a taste of real Hawaii!

Book with peace of mind, this is a County approved and permitted short term rental. Permit number = STMO 2013/0008.

About Manager

Aloha and thank you for considering my beach house. I was born and raised in Hawaii. I grew up in this very house on Molokai as a kid and then went to high school on Maui. I have great memories of Molokai and go back there as often as I can. I feel as though that is the one place on earth where I have been truly at peace. I have spent a lot of time in the finance world, working in NY, Philly, LA, Hong Kong, Japan, and even India, and have been lucky enough to see the world. Those experiences helped me to realize how amazing Waialua is and what a unique place Molokai really is.

I enjoy fishing, diving, surfing, and a lot of other water sports so Waialua has always been true paradise to me. Waialua has a very strong sense of community and pride. Enjoy yourselves, make friends with everyone, and be respectful! :)

Amazing pearl on Molokai

  • 5 of 5

We had 4 great night at the house snorkling, lobster hunting, swimming with turtles and enjoying the small private beach. Would definitely go back if we get the opportunity. The house could use a little work on some of the windows so you don't get to many animals in, but apart from that had everything you would need, simple but good.

Wonderful Stay in Molokai East End

  • 5 of 5

My family have just returned from Molokai. What a magical place! We had a great time swimming just steps away from this comfortable rental house. My two kids (age 10 and 11) enjoyed playing on the beach, floating on tubes and swimming. The island of Molokai is beautiful and its people most welcoming. Joann, the property manager, stopped by to answer any questions we had and invited us to visit their beautiful family farm. The kids had a great time feeding the pigs, rabbits, guinea pigs and chickens. They also milked mama goat and played with the baby goat. We were able to visit with a baby fawn too, which has been recently been rescued. We left with a plate of home baked cookies. Thank you, JoAnn, for the wonderful memories! My kids still talk about visiting with you and meeting the animals. As suggested by Peter, we called Kohl looking to buy some fresh fish. Kohl not only delivered two local fishes but did not charged us for it. We were humbled by the kindness and attention we received from the people in Molokai. Thank you, Kohl! We barbecued the fish and it was delicious. We also contacted Walter to take us to the Pali coast, another suggestion from Peter. Walter was very attentive and even stopped by the house to let us know details about the boat trip, weather and the surf. We were surprised to see Walter at the front door as we were getting ready to meet him Halawa for the boat trip. But that's the nature of the people in Molokai. They are truly one of a kind! We have the most fond memories of our stay in Molokai. Thank you, Peter, for sharing your Ohana with us. We felt the Hawaiian spirit in everyone we met in Molokai. If you are looking for a place to relax at a great beach front location, this is the home for you. The East End of Molokai is gorgeous and very green. Just a few minutes by car to Halawa you can see the gorgeous mountains and the waterfalls. There is also a nice little store not too far from the house, if you are looking to get some basic necessities. The town of Kaunakakai is a about 40 minutes from the house and it is very cute with small town charm. There are couple of grocery stores, a wine store, a bakery and a few family owned restaurants. We specially enjoyed the pizza place (Molokai Pizza Cafe), which also serves some local Hawaiian fare. Whatever you do in Molokai, do not miss the hot bread at Kanemitsu Bakery served only after 7:30 pm. Get the "works" - it is delicious! We loved Molokai and will return soon. Mahalo!

HEAVEN...........

  • 5 of 5

This was our first (and def. not our last) visit to Molokai. From making the reservation with Mr. Fukunaga, airport arrival, car rental -Molokai Car Rental-, picking up groceries to arriving at this home exceeded expectations! Our visit began 9.23.15 and ended 10.02.15- (NOT long enough). Aunty JoAnn met us and she was wonderful! The house is AMAZING! It is very comfortable and the sandy beach w/perfect water temp just steps away! We had a couple of rainy days, which were very nice while sitting on the deck. We rented a couple of fishing poles and caught dinner one night. ALL The people we met were welcoming and so friendly! A must do is the Halawa Valley hike with Sean up to the waterfalls and Halawa Valley history lesson with Greg. If anyone is looking for a wonderful, authentic, go back in time - just CHILL getaway- this is the island and this is the house. Peter, your house is amazing and we can't wait to return next year. Thank you so much! Please pass our thanks to Aunty JoAnn and Howard and the people from your beautiful island!

We spend 3 days in this amazing location with friends and some family.

This Beautiful house in Molokai it's just the Hawaiian dream vacation, far for everyone, very quite and a amazing view. Just 2 steps on front of the ocean. It's a very good option to go with friends or with family, the house have everything you need also with a big patio you can play, grill or simply chill there, no mention the big palm the have there full of coconut, that was my favorite part, drink a lot of coconut water just for our patio.

Ill totally recommend this property as you option in Molokai

  • 5 of 5

It was my first time I went to Molokai and I feel that I met the real paradise. Molokai has paradisal beaches, hi kings, waterfalls, and who loves adventure will be surprised by such amazing nature. I stayed from Dec,30, 2014 to Jan, 2nd in this gorgeous sandy beach front house with my fiancé, and I would recommend for everyone who is thinking about spend a time by the sea, enjoying a beautiful island nature. The house is comfortable and perfect to host a family. I am counting my days to come back to molokai and stay at this peaceful and blessed place again!

The most authentic Hawaiian experience you will ever have!

  • 5 of 5

Wauw - where to begin...

I checked in at this beautiful Molokai beach front retreat with great expectation of experiencing the authentic Hawaiian lifestyle as I had heard Molokai would offer in comparison to its neighbouring islands and boy were these expectations met!

We rented a car from this nice local couple who run a car rental service in the 'only' town which offers one grocery store and other small conveniency stores along with the infamous Molokai bakery Kanemitsu (nom nom nom!!) and from here it was a relatively short drive to the house (20 min or so) with beautiful coast side views on the way. I could definitely tell that I was no longer in O'ahu where I usually reside. The air was fresh, two people on the street were a crowd and the nature as lush and rich as if it had stood untouched - a truly remarkable experience in today's world!!

We pulled up to the house and the first impression is simply picturesque standing on the enormous deck built out from the house's living room overlooking the ocean which is literally 50 feet from the house - nothing beats that !! This house offers everything you need for an amazing quiet retreat on the water and I am definitely coming back to stay here again and re-experience the friendliness of the people that resides on this island, the astounding and unspoiled nature and reef and the rare tranquility that is just so hard to find in today's hectic everyday life.

Much aloha and mahalo for sharing your home with visitors <3
