Come relax and rest at Meadow View Cabin. You'll find everything you will need for a short escape, or an extended vacation. Meadow View Cabin is a new log home, completed in April 2012. The design is a two-bedroom, two-bath lofted cabin with a panoramic window wall overlooking pastures, all on a quiet country lane. A large wraparound deck provides sun-drenched outdoor relaxation. Inside you'll find all of the appointments and countrified elegance you'd expect for a five star resort lodging. Meadow View offers a master suite on the first floor and a twin suite in the loft. The attached baths provide oversized showers and lots of room to move around. The kitchen's granite countertops are a natural work of art. Fully equipped, you'll be ready to prepare almost anything. The great room provides a panoramic window wall; exceptional, yet subtle lighting enhances the evenings. The cabin is just a leisurely ten minute drive from the historic downtown Lexington. (Please note, that there is a $65 fee per night, for the use of the loft. That is a separate bedroom and full bath).
Lori and Chris Salb have lived in Lexington for 20 years, and own a small business there. They moved from Sag Harbor, NY in 1992, to the beautiful and relaxing area of the Shenandoah Valley.
Jeff and Marianne Salb purchased this cabin in 2012
Meadow View Cabin was built (2012) as an upscale log home. The beautiful granite counter tops, hand made red oak and fir stairs, 6' toung & grove pine board ceiling with large exposed fir beams, and ultra fine bedding make this cabin stand out from the rest.
A fully equipped kitchen, beautiful wraparound deck and covered porches, are nice amenities for the cabin. Close to historic Lexington, this cabin is in a great location for history buffs, vacationers, or parents of the collage students.
We stayed here when our son came to a Lacrosse camp at SVU. We liked being out away from things just a little bit but close enough that it was convenient. Everything was set up nicely for us. No complaints. If he ends up at SVU, we will probably be back to visit.
we felt at home in this cabin- the accomodations were perfect- clean and spacious with an outstanding view all around ! easy to get town shopping and dining as well as all the outdoor activities! only complaint is we didn't book
a longer stay.
We totally enjoyed our stay at this luxurious cabin. The owners are easy to work with and have created this excellent hideaway for your family. We appreciate the openness of the cabin, and most importantly the cloud-like beds. I have never had such soft sheets and comfortable sleeping! We appreciated the king bed for us and the twin beds for our young adult children! We were able to host a large group of VMI Cadets and parents. The grill was great to have, but since the temperature turned cooler, we were almost all inside. There was plenty of room for us all. Several of my guests plan to contact the owner to reserve it for themselves in future years. Everyone raved about the beautiful construction and beautiful final touches. The granite in the kitchen is stunning! You can't go wrong here!
This log cabin is exactly as the photos picture it. It's a beautiful well constructed log cabin with all the modern conveniences. It's very clean and functional with all the amenities and it's tastefully decorated. The beds were super comfortable and the decks were very relaxing to enjoy a nice glass of wine. We have booked this cabin for a short weekend in May and we are looking forward to staying here again.
We stayed for a week in this lovely cabin. Saw lots of animals (wild turkeys, deer, cows, bunnies, birds and one confused squirrel who came right up on the deck and watched us through the glass door). The views are amazing. Our 14 year old loved the upstairs loft and the reading nook. She loved having her own separate space with her own thermostat. Cabin was very clean and comfortable. Beds were luxuriously soft and the kitchen had everything we needed. The cabin is decorated beautifully with lots of nice touches. We really enjoyed our time in Lexington and would definitely return to this cabin. Don't miss the Natural Bridge, the Safari Park and downtown Lexington (especially Artists in Cahoots, it's awesome).
My wife and I just spent a great week at Meadow View Cabin. Somebody took some time to decorate this place. It is very tastefully done. We partied on the deck on Saturday night and could not believe the amount of gun fire in the area. Those southerners do like the smell of gunpowder. Sounded like a fire fight was going on in the hills of Virginia. Maybe it relaxes the cattle. The cabin is exactly as advertised. We hope we can stay there again sometime. Check out Hull's DriveIn movie, just north of Lexington. A blast from the past.
Lexington is host to two colleges, Washington & Lee and VMI (Virginia Military Institute). Along with all the Civil War history, Lexington’s strolling streets are the regional center for restaurants, museums, cultural activities, shopping and really cool art venues……. it’s much more than you’d expect.
