Our territorial style home with a one bedroom loft has trapezoidal windows that lookout at the Sandia Mountains. Watching the mountain change to watermelon pink is one of the favorite sundown pastimes! Our outdoor space includes a pergola with comfy furniture to enjoy a morning cup of coffee or an evening around the fire! Also, our couch in the main room accommodates two extra people and a blow up bed for an additional two people fits in the bedroom alcove.
I am a working artist and have been creating enamel jewelry and wall pieces for the last 6 years. Stephen is a writer currently working on a book as well as enjoying sculpting in his extra time.
britt densford purchased this house in 1996
We have spent the last 21 years creating heaven on earth here on Angel Road. We would love to share the results of this labor of love with you.
We would be happy to share our creative endeavors with you. We can arrange one on one workshop in our studio spaces in enameling or sculpture for you during your visit!
My boyfriend and I stayed here 4 nights in July and absolutely LOVED the experience. Britt and Stephen make you feel right at home. They're super easy going and laid back which is what you need after a long day on the road! They had all the creature comforts you would need (including a wireless printer which is SUPER handy for printing boarding passes) and even picked up some local magazines for us so we had ideas on what to do while we were in town. The art in and around the house is beautiful and the sitting area in the back is so peaceful. We spent many nights enjoying the weather and even watched an intense storm from there, it was awesome! We're pretty independent and didn't need much assistance from our hosts but we knew they were available to us if we needed them. We would both stay here again in a heartbeat. Also, Corralles is a lovely little town, lots of good eats.
Britt and Stephen's home was a warm and welcoming place! There were incredible mountain views, a lovely outdoor space with a fire place and interesting artwork both inside and outside the house. The open floor plan of the first floor of the house created a warm and cozy atmosphere and everything in easy access. The house has a well stocked kitchen and laundry room, we had plenty of towels and extra blankets for the cooler night temperatures. We spent most of our time hiking and exploring throughout the area and had no problems finding our way around, easy access to main roads and the highway. Corrales is a great little town with restaurants, shops and breweries nearby. Britt and Stephen were always available if we needed anything but otherwise we had plenty of privacy. They were wonderful hosts and so interesting to talk with about their art and their travels. We thoroughly enjoyed staying at their home and would recommend it to anyone heading out to the Albuquerque area. We hope to travel out ther again ourselves!
Part of me wants to give this place a bad review so I can keep it a great secret, but....I loved this house and the folks who run it, who have become good friends. Not to worry they leave you in peace if that is waht you are looking for. Quiet, relaxing and warm. Brit and Stephen, couldn't have done any better, they were very very helpful in every case. As Stephen said this was my little slice of heave and they wanted to make sure it was. Small town attitude, which I love as I live on an island, everyone was very friendly in the true sense. Horses all around, great park along the Rio Grande, wonderful restaurants, we loved "Farm to Table" which was close. The drive to Santa Fe was only an hour which goes by quickly and Madrid is only 45 min. away. I couldn't have asked for anything more, so don't hesitate to stay here. I've already booked for next year.
Britt and Steve were gracious and attentive hosts. The Cassita was wonderfully landscaped in our favorite NM look. We are familiar with the area and it was very close to family and friends for us. We had everything at our fingertips for everyday living including a laundry room. We were able to have our dogs with us on vacation and the home was clean and nice for all of us. We had access to a vacuum in our cassita and that made clean up a quick process when it came to dog hair. It was a treat to share Britt and Steve's love of art and their works. I became ill and went to the hospital and Britt and Steve were more than accomodating in letting us stay an added night to rest before traveling home to SC. We will absolutely stay with Britt and Steve again when we go 'home' to NM the next time. The cassita was private and very well appointed. The ever changing mountain views are the focus of the cassita and the peacefulness was amazing. Thank You Britt and Steve!
We rented this lovely home while attending a wedding and were there for 5 nights. What a great place to stay! The living space was open and included all the amenities one would need; the owners were accessible yet gave us total privacy. We loved the outdoor space...very well maintained, peaceful, relaxing, and the flowers and artwork were an added bonus.
There were three of us and we had plenty of room. We would highly recommend this property. The price was very reasonable. So much nicer to stay in a place like this rather than a hotel. It is a great location especially if you will be doing a lot of activities on this side of town, and there are plenty of places to eat and shop in Corrales.

Corrales is a small but welcoming agricultural village located in the bosque of the Rio Grande River and retains a strong connection to its historical heritage and rural character. It is nestled between Albuquerque and Rio Rancho but seems worlds away due to its pastoral surroundings.
Corrales is a National Historic Byway and visitors and locals alike find solace in the river sanctuaries abundant with birds and wildlife. Also, we are located very close to Balloon Fiesta Park and the Albuquerque area has great skiing, biking and hiking as well as fabulous museums and art galleries. All our visitors love to ride the tramway to the top of Sandia Peak where they enjoy hiking, dining and incredible views.
Corrales is also close to Santa Fe where opportunities for viewing Art and wonderful shopping abound.
