This newly renovated home has the best of both worlds. Set on nearly 3 acres of private land. On beautiful Silver Lake, a small and quiet lake where there are mainly swimmers and kayakers and the occasional small sail boat and no motorboats..so enjoy the peace and quiet.
Before we even talk about how Absolutely Fabulous the house is, let’s talk about what’s included on the outside!
We have 7 kayaks on site for you, one of them is a 2 man, the others are 1 man sit on or in types, 2 paddle boards and a 4 man pedal boat for your use. A duck boat for the fishermen out there and 2 fishing rods on site!! Also, there’s a dock and 10 feet out a swim float dock and endless amounts of fun in the making!! Plus, we have life jackets too...So really all you need to do is bring your suitcases.
We also have a Sunfish laser sail boat, (available for an additional fee and requires proof of basic sailing proficiency.)

Set in Barnard on nearly 3 acres of private land with over 450 feet of owned lake frontage, open meadow, stonewalls and gardens all within walking distance to the country store, post office and Silver Lake State Park. Please note, this property is best suited for 3 adult couples, or a family with 4 children as there is a twin bunk bed in basement area with its own sitting room and TV!
The house has a deck large wrap around deck with a covered screened in porch, that makes this a great year-round retreat!
Interior features: Main level is open plan with a State of the art kitchen, fully equipped with every utensil imaginable. Dining room and sitting room looking out to the lake with a with a beautiful gas, fired fire in the main sitting/dining area to add ambiance to chilly winter evenings and plenty of sunlight year-round and endless views. A large TV in the sitting room area
Also on the main floor is the master bedroom also with TV
Upstairs, there are 2 bedrooms, one king sized and the other has a queen-sized bed...Both bedrooms have TVs. Also on the second floor is a bathroom with a step in shower.
A separate laundry room situated on basement level with washer dryer plus iron & ironing board and cleaning equipment.
In summer relax, sit on the dock and fish for largemouth bass, northern pike, pumpkin seed sunfish, yellow perch, and rock bass, while the kids play and swim in beautiful quiet surroundings, or take out a kayak or pedal boat….
In winter, skate or cross-country ski the lake (Ice depth permitting) or ice fish…
State Park with facilities including beach, boat rentals and snack bar is a 5 minute kayak away.
Cross country, snowshoe or hiking.
'Suicide Six Ski Area' is family oriented ski mountain, owned by The Woodstock Inn, is just 8 minutes away.
In Woodstock, 15 minutes by car will gain access to a: grocer, baker, butcher, pharmacy, clothing boutiques, jewelry store, book shops and many restaurants, both casual & formal also art and antique galleries.
With extensive recreational facilities open to public, including Robert Trent Jones golf course/ spa / indoor pool plus the Billings Farm Museum and shops and restaurants.

The Village of Quechee, just 20 minutes away is the home of Simon Pierce glass blowing fame and excellent tourist sites, art galleries and antique shops.
