This unique and one of a kind house was featured on the HGTV and GAC shows 'You Live in What?' in 2015. It was built in 1861, originally as a residence, with wood siding and the entrance facing Jones Street. Around the turn of the century, it was converted to a grocery store, stuccoed, and the front door was moved to the corner, like many of the businesses in the Landmark Historic District. It remained a grocery until 1980 and then was converted back to a residence, although the door remained at its present location on the corner.
The house is located on Jones Street, which is reputed to be the most beautiful street in Savannah. You are within walking distance of everything in the Landmark Historic District, and only blocks from Clary's, Mrs. Wilke's Dining Room, the Firefly Cafe, and the Mercer House. River Street, Broughton Street, and Forsyth Park are all within walking distance through the beautiful squares of Savannah.
The house is very open and surprisingly spacious inside, with a very large modern kitchen, which is open to the living and dining area. Be a couch potato, while watching the wall mounted 42 inch flat screen TV. Or enjoy your favorite program or movie while preparing a meal in the totally renovated kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped and has brand new stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops.
The bedroom is separated from the living area by sliding glass panels. The bathroom is large and has a jetted shower.
Enjoy your morning coffee or an evening glass of wine in your cozy private landscaped courtyard.
This house is very comfortable for one or two adults, and up to two younger children, or three adults only. It is not suitable for two couples. If your group consists of two couples, I would suggest booking a property that has two bedrooms.
This house is pet friendly for an additional fee. However, due to insurance restrictions, certain breeds of dogs, any dog whose lineage contains a part of that breed, or any dog with a previous bite or attack history, are not allowed on the premises. The following dog breeds are named, but not limited to:

I bought this property because it gives guests the opportunity to have an entire house with private courtyard to themselves. Most one bedroom properties are condos without any outside space or ones that share a courtyard.

Beautiful, Clean Home in Perfect Location
We loved our stay in Savannah. E. Jones Street is absolutely beautiful -- we loved walking to and from the house. Everything inside is perfectly maintained, impeccably clean, and incredibly comfortable. Looking forward to returning soon!

Lovely Corner-front Property near Troup Square
This is our 6th trip to Savannah, visiting for the past 6 years, each time renting a different home within the historic district. We enjoyed the openness you get in this home. Our Maine Coon cat traveled with us so it was great that Betty allows for well-behaved animals. Very clean, well organized space, kitchen has all amenities, cute outdoor small courtyard, w/d, nicely renovated bathroom with body sprays in the shower. Convenient to everything, (grocery, liquor, restaurants, shopping). It is a perfect home for 1-2 people for a week which is what we stayed. On-street parking with no fee but you have to move your car a couple nights a week for street cleaners, no big deal for us. Betty kept in communication with us throughout our stay. I would recommend this home.
Perfect Weekend Getaway Location
We loved our time at this house. It was very close to everything we needed. We parked our car when we arrived and didn't get back in our car until it was time to leave. The house was clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend this home.

Can't be beat!
Superb property in a great historic district location. Third time we've stayed at this location and we'll be back. Convenient to everything. Exceptionally well appointed. Bonus is the totally private courtyard. The owner is extremely responsive; we have never had a problem that wasn't addressed immediately.
Stylish spacious open concept home with fabulous courtyard in the heart of the historic district
My husband and I and our two dogs loved staying in this beautiful home. Everything was within walking distance and we were able to get some lovely walks in. The house is so unique and charming and has every amenity you could possibly think of in a high end rental. The owner was extremely nice and very prompt with replying to questions and very easy to work with. We can’t wait to return!
