The condo was exactly as described and we were highly satisfied with our stay. The only recommendation is to perhaps increase the wattage in the light bulbs for the living room and kitchen - it seemed a little dark for my preference! But, we thoroughly appreciated staying here and it provided a wonderful get-away location for a "Girls week" outing.The location was close to University Park, just north of Downtown Dallas, and was easy walking and/or driving distance to grocery stores (Central Market is awesome), gas stations and some restaurants. It was also easy access to the highway to get anywhere, including Downtown to explore historical areas, artsy districts and other restaurants. FYI, I highly recommend the Segway historical tour - our guide was laid back and easy going but very knowledgeable about many of the buildings, architecture and stories of local characters and history of the area. It was 2 hours well spent and also fun!
I would highly recommend this place to anyone planning to spend some time in Dallas and would certainly stay here again!
I just stayed at this condo over Thanksgiving weekend and had a great time with my family. It is right down the street from Central Market which was great for us to get food for the holiday and we used the kitchen and dining space extensively. There were a few minor things we weren't fond of, but they were just personal preferences. Though we doubt that we would meet up in Dallas again because we want to visit different cities each year, if we ever decided to go back to Dallas, this condo will be on the shortlist (as long as it is available on the dates we want) :)
Such easy folks to deal with - condo and property were both great. Best part is how fast I was able to get around Dallas from here. Loved it so much I stayed several months. Hope I get assigned to Dallas next year.
I stayed at the Birchbrook Condo long term while working for several months in Dallas. First off, let me say that the manager Jeff, is very accommodating, and helped me with the few minor issues that came up. ( some light bulbs needed changing shortly after arrival ). The condo was very comfortable, and had everything that I needed for a long term stay. Over all, it is very quiet ( no loud parties! ) The Kitchen was fully equipped with everything that I needed to cook all my meals. It is conveniently located next to a Central Market and a Tom Thumb store. The condo is only 1.5 miles from my office in Dallas and it was so easy to get around Dallas from here. Even though I did not use it, there is a DART rail station within waling distance.
Overall, this was the closest to being " at home" as I could possibly be. The condo has a full size washer and dryer, plenty of linens and extra blankets. Even a vacuum cleaner! full U verse and fast internet. The bed slept very comfortably. For the long term stay this is THE PLACE TO BE! I love how he had me started with detergent, paper towels, shampoo, etc I literally just arrived with my luggage.
I did have my pets with me, and the condos/manager are very pet friendly, lots of areas to walk my dog with beautiful grounds. There is a very nice pool and some BBQ grills on the property.

The unit is just as pictured. It was clean and spacious. The owner was very easy to work with. I have asthma and allergies but did not have any problems in the unit. Nor did I notice a bad smell as someone previously mentioned.
The only thing I would suggest is getting new beds. The beds were very uncomfortable. But other than that everything was great. Thus the 4 star vs 5.
Updated: since our stay we have heard they have replaced the beds
We will definitely stay here again when we are in Dallas visiting friends/family.

$500 Reservation/Security Deposit OR $29 Non-refundable Deposit Payment Waiver Fee - Most folks are familiar with a traditional deposit – you put up some money to guarantee that you won’t cancel and to apply toward paying for any damage you cause while you’re staying in someone else’s property. After you’ve completed your stay, the landlord checks the property, makes any deductions for damage or other lease violations, and then refunds you what is left over. If you did more damage than the deposit, the landlord sends you a bill. After doing this several years, we heard a recurring theme from travelers who didn’t want to risk so much money upfront. So, we now offer the option of a totally non-refundable waiver fee that gets you out of making a large deposit in order to reserve the unit.
If you choose the $500 Reservation/Security Deposit, you must pay the $500 in order to reserve the unit, and you forfeit it if you cancel the reservation prior to paying the Rental Amount, which is due at least 10 days prior to your arrival. After you complete your stay, we will deduct any fees for damage or other breach and send you a refund of any leftover balance within 30 days of your departure. If you choose the $29 Non-refundable Deposit Payment Waiver Fee, you pay only the $29 in order to reserve the unit, and you forfeit it if you cancel the reservation prior to paying the Rental Amount, which is due at least 10 days prior to your arrival. There is never any refund of this fee. If you damage the unit or breach the contract in any other way, we’ll bill you. It’s important to note that regardless of the choice you make, once the Rental Amount is paid, there are no refunds. Our lease agreements are set to collect your initials next to the choice of the $29 Non-refundable Deposit Payment Waiver Fee. Should you wish to pay the traditional $500 Reservation/Security Deposit instead, please let us know before completing the online lease agreement and we'll make the necessary changes.
