From its very inception, every touch to the home has been designed to enhance the luxurious and relaxing ambiance that the home offers. Sitting under the covered patio to enjoy the smells of pine and changing colors of the quaking forests is the perfect ending to every day.
Thank you for opening your home to us. We filled this home with 40 business builders and leaders from Team BeachBody. We are all moms, wives and daughters. We bonded, relaxed, related. We cried, we laughed, we hiked, we swam, we watched the sunset together and we grew together as a team. Magic happened in this home, broken spirits were mended, spirits were lifted and overall lives were changed. We intend on returning to this home again every year.
I have never written a review in my life, but felt I must paint a correct picture of this lodge. I felt like the web page and other reviews were quite misleading. My extended family of 42 stayed at this lodge for a weekend family get a way and while there was plenty of room for us all and we had a fun time we found the lodge to be in terrible repair. Most of the bathrooms didn't even have functional locks. Which made for several awkward situations. Kitchen cabinets were hanging off balance. We didn't have soap in the bathrooms for the first day and a half. Almost all the bathroom faucets were needed to be repaired and the showers were mildewed. The lodge was really dark and depressing. This could have been remedied had all the light bulbs been replaced with working bulbs. There were a few leaks in the ceiling over the dining table as well. The pool area also needs some significant maintenance. With some attention to maintenance I think this could once more become a great lodge, but it seems to have been neglected for many years. The whole place just gives you the feeling of "old and falling apart." Please take this into consideration before booking it for your next event.
My wife and her extended family stayed here this Christmas.
This was a wonderful getaway from the busy life of the busy city. I appreciate the Swiss style that matched the rest of Midway.
This lodge truly helped a family getaway be relaxing. Though we had a large party, there was plenty of room to relax and spread out.
Additionally, it is important for our family to stay in nice hotels on vacation, otherwise it doesn't seem like a vacation at all. It is suprising how rejuvenating a nice room is. This was the case with Stone Hill Lodge. If this lodge were rated as a hotel I think it would come in at four-stars.
In summary this was a classy getaway with plenty of room.
My favorite part was the embroidered duvet blankets.
This place is seriously fun, gorgeous, and big enough for the whole clan! We enjoyed it so much and hope to be back again!
It was a much needed getaway! A way to recharge and connect with other moms who's children have cancer as well. This is our second year back and we are hoping to continue to come to the Stone Hill Lodge for years to come! Thank you! Thank you! Beautiful home. Beautiful surroundings. Just what we needed.
This is my 2nd time of being able to stay at Stone Hill Lodge, and when I got there, it felt like home. Very comfy and cozy, yet extremely spacious!! Definitely a wonderful place to have a large gathering. It was beautiful, and just what the doctor ordered for a bunch of cancer mommas who are tired, stressed, and worn to their core. It was refreshing and rejuvenating. The living and dining areas are spacious, and the pool was great! The outside grounds are beautiful. Just a very serene area. Highly recommend!
This was the second year that a I stayed at the house for a retreat with a large group of fellow cancer moms. It was a very much needed weekend of relaxing and fun. The house is so beautiful and easily accomadates everyone. We have such a great time. I hope we get to go back for a third year and many more to come.
