Tennessee Cabin Rental Photos and Description

2 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, Sleeps 5

Come relax and enjoy our cabin, tucked away in the secluded area of Mountain Crest. Our 1200 sq. foot real log cabin has all of the luxury amenities of home, from the rustic wood beds to the fully appointed kitchen with stainless appliances and granite counter tops. Our cabin is on a beautiful wooded lot with a paved driveway and plenty of parking for several vehicles. The cabin has an open floor plan with cathedral ceilings in the living/kitchen area. A great place to kick back and relax in front of the gas fireplace.

Bear Hiney Hideaway is a 2-story, 2 bedroom, 2 bath log cabin with a covered porch and a back deck. The master bedroom, located on the bottom floor, is furnished with a rustic, king size bed and jacuzzi tub. A perfect room to light some candles, turn on the electric fireplace and relax. There is also a full bathroom with tub/shower unit located off of the bedroom, adjoining the kitchen.

The upstairs, loft bedroom is furnished with bunk beds that have a full size bed on the bottom and twin on top. This bedroom also has a full bath with a shower unit. We have many board games located upstairs for your family ''game night''.

At our cabin, you can stay snuggled in for your entire stay - just bring your clothes and food! We have everything you need! All linens/towels along with a starter supply of detergent/soap/dishwasher detergent/toilet paper/paper towels are provided. Pigeon Forge, Dollywood, Rocky Top Sports Complex, the arts and crafts community and outlets malls are only minutes away if you choose to get out and enjoy the area attractions. This location is great because you can bypass the ''strip'' and its traffic if you would like to.

About Gary or Laurie Hines

We are Gary and Laurie Hines and we have been married for 23 years. We have 3 children ages 26 (from previous marriage, lol), 18 and 10. We are not natives of Tennessee but visit the area often!

Gary or Laurie Hines purchased this cabin in 2008

Why Gary or Laurie Hines chose Tennessee

Our first trip to the Smokies was on a family trip with parents and we were hooked. We've spent most of our Christmas' there along with many, many other trips there and love the area! It is one of the most beautiful places on earth!

What makes this cabin unique

After looking at numerous homes, we chose this one because of the secluded neighborhood and the cabin was a newer cabin with an old time, cozy feel. We knew it was the one as soon as we walked in.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Laurie's Cabin was a wonderful place to stay..... I really enjoyed the quiet and peaceful area that the Cabin was in. I also was very happy to go to such a clean and "well stocked" Cabin. There was nothing in the Cabin that I wish I had remembered to bring. She had everything from blowdryers, hangers, silverware, dishes, pots, pans, dishwasher, and washer/dryer. The Cabin was very organized (imagine that...) and well maintained. I was honored to stay in such a wonderful Cabin such as Lauries. I would recommend it to anyone!! OH!! By the way, there is a great little grocery at the end of the road that sells a Cheesecake to die for!!! Love and Hugs, Ash

Homey, comfortable

  • 5 of 5

We were so sad to leave! We had such a great week. The cabin was perfect for our family of 4 (kids ages 9 and 10). We didn't spend many daytime hours there, but it was so nice to come home to in the evenings. The only things the well-stocked kitchen was missing were a corkscrew (for my nightly wine) and a cookie sheet. We loved the semi-remote, quiet location (chosen on purpose) but it did take us a little while to get our bearings (no GPS up at the cabin!) so I would advise newcomers to bring a detailed printed map. Once we learned our way around it was an easy, scenic drive to the Park and to Gatlinburg. If you plan to spend a lot of time in the Park, which we did, pack picnics in your cooler, wear your comfy hiking clothes, and bring folding chairs, water shoes and towels to enjoy dozens of gorgeous spots as you wind along the river. We can't wait to come back!

Well worth it

  • 5 of 5

Me and my wife went on our honeymoon here and it was awesome. For the price it's cheaper and way better than a hotel. I would recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a nice getaway. If we go back to Tennessee we will definitely be staying here again!
