Located on one acre in a rural farming/horse ranching community with spectacular, panoramic views from every window that are sure to take your breath away. Relax on the deck with a drink while watching the sunset and the twinkling lights turn on in the city below.

Location Highlights: Completely private and secluded retreat in a delightful environment. This rental is located at the top of a cul-de-sac with spectacular views in all directions, yet it is fifteen minutes from the Cottonwood mall, the largest mall in the ABQ metro area. You can see the majestic Sandia, the Manzano, and Sangre de Cristo mountains! It is 2 miles to the Corrales restaurant/art district.

The property has radiant, baseboard heat during winter months which makes for a very comfortable warmth in winter without the dryness - and air conditioning for the high desert summer months. The shades in the master bedroom can be lowered from the top for privacy, while enjoying the stunning views, or raised from the bottom. The huge outdoor deck has the best views of the city and valley below.

Living Room Highlights: There is a very large living room for entertaining & a well equipped full kitchen. The living room features a 42” screen TV, and the master bedroom has a smaller TV.

Master Bedroom/Bathroom Highlights: The master bedroom is large and bright with a spectacular view from the large bay window and a king size Select Comfort bed; the bathroom has a separate jetted tub and a large shower. A nice walk-in closet and shelves with room for all your belongings. Plenty of hangers. You can step outside the master bedroom balcony and view the valley below.

Second Bedroom downstairs: Queen Belmont Spinal Comfort mattress for a restful sleep. You’ll enjoy a view of the grassy backyard loaded with flowers and the fish pond from the bedroom window.

Third Bedroom/Office upstairs: Queen size mattress in this bedroom with a view of the orchard outside the window. A wireless router provided for easy internet access.

Outdoors Highlights: Enjoy a barbecue on the large deck as you watch the lights come up in the evening. If you're looking for the perfect getaway for a family vacation, or a multi-family get-together, this is the perfect house. You'll find everything you need here in the Corrales house. About Stan & Sarah Guinn

Stan and I both grew up in Albuquerque, and except for 6 years that we lived in California, we've lived in New Mexico. We live in our house part of the time, and downtown Albuquerque the rest of the time so we like it to be neat and clean. We keep many of our personal items in the house to be used while we're here and for the enjoyment of our guests. We keep up the maintenance on it, and have a beautiful array of live plants both inside and out in the yard. We are situated on an acre of land with a fence around the property, which gives it a very private feel. The Corrales area is located in a farming community, yet outside the village is everything from the big box stores; Home Depot, Lowe's, Walmart, to the Cottonwood Mall, the Outback, Red Lobster, Olive Garden, and Il Vicino restaurants - less than 4 miles away. There are also grocery stores like Sprouts Market and Albertson's close by. On the main street, Corrales Blvd., are local restaurants and specialty and antique shops. We have the best of both worlds at our doorstep.

We love the Corrales area because it feels very rural, yet outside of the village 10 minutes away are the largest mall, all the big box stores, restaurants, and antique stores at your doorstep.

What makes this house unique

We love to sit out on the deck in the evening and watch the lights come on. The view is spectacular and it never ceases to amaze us. We love to watch the birds and other animals as they visit and drink from the water in our pond.

I just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay. The house was fully up to our expectations and very nice.

I love the flora and fauna of the dry lands and staying in Corrales we got to see much that was of interest.

We especially enjoyed visits from your 'tame' roadrunner who seems to like roosting just over the deck. What a treat.

We have stayed at this wonderful home multiple times. The views are spectacular, you never know if you are going to see a balloon, a road runner or just the gorgeous Sandia Peaks. The home is full of amenities such as a wonderfully stocked kitchen, full bathrooms, and great beds. When visiting New Mexico it's great to be out in the "country" away from the hustle and bustle of Albuquerque. It's close to shopping, the Rio Grande and the city. We will be returning to rent this property again and again.

Owner's Response: Aside from the ever-changing views of the Sandia mountains, you are right about seeing other wonderful sights like hot-air balloons, or critters like rabbits, roadrunners, or quail in the yard. Sometimes you'll experience a storm work its way across the river valley below. Our home is geared for the guest who wants to cook meals at home, without having to go out and buy spices for instance, or the guest who enjoys a take-out pizza while looking out the dining room window at all the attractions outside. Our "rural" location makes it feel like you're out in the country, even though 10 minutes away outside the village are all the big box stores, restaurants, and the Cottonwood Mall.

It would have been okay without all the bugs!

Unless you are there to see the balloon festival, I don't recommend this property. It is in an undeveloped area and our car got beat up coming and going from the place. Upon our night arrival, our kids mentioned we were staying at the Haunted Mansion. The driveway to get to the house is pretty steep and narrow and unless you are driving an SUV, I don't see how one would make it up and down the hill. In addition, we were constantly battling spiders! This house reminded us of the movie Arachnophobia! We easily killed 30+ spiders in 4 days of which some were brown recluses. When we contacted the owners to bring us bug poison, they dropped off a 1983 used can of Raid! Needless to say we went and bought our own gallon size poison spray, which we left behind for the next guests. Finally, when we thought we had killed them all, we found a 8 inch centipede making its way up the stairs on our last day! I don't think we'll be back. Sorry we are city people!

Good location. Wonderful views. Quiet!

Arrived in the dark and glad we had a light with us. House number is at the driveway entrance. Was a little hard to see.

Definitely watch your driving speed. Officers out in full force all days we were there.

If you're looking to walk in the Bosque, take Dixon St. to the river. Not all roads lead to the river.

Excellent shopping nearby. Sprouts grocery store is fantastic, like a Whole Foods , but not so upscale. The Thai restaurant in the same shopping area is really good.

Kitchen is well appointed, but could have used some plastic wrap//foil for leftovers.

Beds Ok.

Enjoy yourself and the surrounding parks etc.

Clean home. Decor and amenities unimpressive.

Spectacular views but home was unimpressive. Low quality linens and decor. No serving dishes, minimal cooking utensils and only one set of dinner plates so dishwasher was constantly being used. Needed more seating, end tables, coffee tables and lighting. The home was generally clean but there were several spider webs and tub was unusable. Several blinds were in disrepair. Very old TV and appliances. Loved Corrales and the Balloon views so in spite of home we did have a great weekend with friends. Owners were very pleasant and easy to deal with.

Owner's Response: Hi Liz, we appreciate your comments, and during the winter months we have flannel sheets for a more cozy sleep experience. We have a well-stocked kitchen with a complete dinnerware service for eight. We have lots of cooking utensils and also a good supply of spices for your use. We also supply dishwasher pods and dish soap during your stay. Our kitchen table has 6 chairs. In the great room there is an overhead ceiling fan with lights and we also have a lamp near the sofa. All our blinds are in working order, as are the TV and all the appliances. Our very private location and private driveway affords spectacular views that are hard to beat. The view from the deck is truly amazing.

Very good

Casa Corrales is a great place for a family stay. My son, wife and 2 children really enjoyed their 10 day stay and if available we would definitely rent this home again. The driveway is a little daunting but workable and the only other slightly problematic issues were the bed in the master bedroom and lack of cable tv. There is a hump running all the way down the middle of the bed which makes it a bit uncomfortable and although the TV, DVD etc. work fine, it would have been nice to have cable for other than local channels. However, neither of these issues were problematic enough to ruin their stay at all. We had a lovely time visiting them at Casa. The views are incredible and overall the place has a lovely family feel. Stan and Sarah are really nice and accommodating and Stan even shoveled off the very long drive way for us when a snow storm hit Corrales.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review and to address the Select Comfort bed in the master bedroom, the bed can be adjusted by each side for firmness. If there's a large disparity between the two sides you will notice a slight hump in the center. Select Comfort recommends that both sides be adjusted fairly equal. Each person must adjust the comfort level while lying down on their side. The driveway is winding but worth the view and the privacy that awaits at the top. While spacious and open, we strive to give our home a "cozy feel". We thank you for your comments and welcome your return.

I came with my husband and son and we had lots of room and felt instantly at home. The coziness was just right as it was snowing and cold. I love this part of town that is quiet and spacious. We saw rabbits and roadrunners and lots of birds. A bird feeder would be a great addition! Thanks for a sweet weekend!

Our wildlife outside is fun to watch and enjoy from the comfort of the inside. The village of Corrales has a country feel with farms and corrals, yet outside the village are many restaurants, big box stores and a large mall less than 10 minutes away.

Sandia Peak Aerial Tramway is the longest in the world and only 40 minutes away. Skiing is 45 minutes away at Sandia Peak Ski Resort from Thanksgiving to early March. Santa Fe is also 45 minutes away via the Rail Runner train for only $8 round trip. Secluded, private and very quiet, yet the stores, restaurants, and recreational activities (malls, movie theaters, live theaters, night life, casinos, golf, skiing, bowling, swimming, hiking ice skating, horseback riding, etc.) cultural activities (pueblos, museums, art galleries, wineries, antique stores, etc.), are all within a few minutes drive You’ll enjoy live theater and music at the beautiful Popejoy Hall. 30 Minutes to Old Town, downtown, the Alb. Convention Center, the zoo, museums, the famous National Hispanic Cultural Center, the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center, and the NM State Fair with rodeo, horse racing and the midway is her for 2 weeks in September. The Outdoor Gathering of Nations Pow Wow is held in Albuquerque in April.
