Whether you're just bar hopping on Ossington or shopping--on Queen Street West, Toronto's mecca of hip and only seconds away--taking in a festival, or taking advantage of the neighborhood's legendary nightlife, it doesn't get more convenient than this.
Compact but with more than enough space for anything you need (and much larger than a hotel room!), the unit is decorated in high style, floors, groovy designer furniture, appliances, east-facing windows, plus a sunny balcony to watch the sun go down and watch the patio downstairs come alive. The separate bedroom divided from your private kitchen and living room by a long hall, so the place is best for a couple or two good friends. Unit is professionally cleaned and spotless for every guest. Laundry is steps away.
The apartment is furnished with all the toys you need, from high speed WiFi to a HD flat screen TV and ipod dock complete with surround sound

We own the Tapas bar downstairs & took over the apartment and renovated it so our friends, clients and family could have private lodging when in town
My boyfriend and I stayed two nights at Sandy's place while doing a cross-country move. The place has parking out back which is a huge bonus in downtown Toronto. Sandy was always really quick to respond anytime we had questions or needed anything. The apartment itself was a fair size and had all the amenities one would require, fresh towels, hair dryer, clean bedding and any kitchen utilities one would need. It was nice to be within walking distance to so many different restaurants & lounges. Perfect location. We would recommend staying here if you have a short/medium stop in Toronto. Thanks Sandy!
I would tend to agree with Andrea below. The apt. has a great location with a couple good restaurants and streecar stops nearby. It wasn't the cleanest place, the WiFi was spotty, and the music annoyed my wife (I wore earplugs so it wasn't a problem). It was a lot more cluttered than the photos. The fire escape is the most direct way into the apartment from the parking area but there is a normal entrance off Ossington with a normal staircase. We parked our car and then used mass transit for the next 4 days so not really an issue. I enjoyed it. It reminded me of my 3 month stay in a Studio apt in NYC back in 1982.
Good location, interesting neighbourhood and a partial view on a good day of the cn tower, however with the club downstairs being open every night you hear and feel the music till 2am. The apartment I feel could of been less cluttered and generally cleaner what with mouldy food being left in the fridge for us. I would also mention that the external metal stairs are not suitable for elderly or anyone with walking difficulties. We did have a pleasant stay but just feel the apartment could be improved. Thanks
Some people may take issue with the late loud noise but the location and the unique ambiance sets it apart for us. Loved using the fire escape to enter the apartment, the bed was comfy and loved people watching from the living room at 3 in the morning. Free parking is always a plus in the city and we weren't nervous about the alley even after witnessing a scuffle between the bouncer and a drunk patron :). As a former 10yr resident of Bloor West Village it was a taste of what Toronto really is. This was our first vacation rental through VRBO and the process was simple. We really liked the owners eclectic choice of decor, it felt strange, cool and fun :D
For the price and location--cannot beat this funky flat above owner's fantastic tequila bar below. Large kitchen, good sunlight in living room. Great neighborhood location away from downtown, but with easy access to streetcar, bus and subway. Easy to get to from airport--Rocket bus to subway to #63 bus down Ossington. Near many restauants and bars. Quiet street. Very clean apartment, well maintained. Sandy, the owner, is very responsive and helpful. I would recommend this apartment to those who are looking for value, local flavor, good tequila and music. I would stay here again, and hope to be able to do so in the near future.
