Green Valley Townhouses Townhome Rental Photos and Description

2bed/2bath makes 2 master suites, sleeps 5, covered prkng, end unit, crib avail

The desert is at your doorstep on Calle Acuarela. You can enjoy the wonderful view from the living room or get up close and personal as you sit on the back patio. And the name says it all. Calle Acuarela means Watercolor Way. From the pink and gold sunsets to the teeming verdant desert, it's no wonder that our street is called Watercolor Way in Spanish. This newly remodeled townhome has tile floors throughout (except in bedrooms). Even the covered patio is tiled. The fully equipped kitchen includes a breakfast area for two and upgraded appliances. Small appliances include toaster, crock pot, and blender. The dining area is set up for four but the table is expandable for larger parties. There is a new 32'HDTV with DVD in the living room as well as a micro fiber sofa and rocker recliner Each of the spacious bedrooms has ample closet space and a personal TV with cable hookup. The bathrooms have skylights, new ADA highboy toilets and grab bars in the tub/showers. WIFI high speed wireless internet included. If you can pry yourself away from these wonderful accommodations there is a rec center with pool, hot tub & shuffleboard just around the corner

Green Valley Recreation: Green Valley Recreation membership is available for a nominal fee and includes 13 recreational facilities located throughout Green Valley. Activities include swimming pools, fitness centers, arts and crafts rooms, jacuzzi, tennis courts, billiards, shuffleboard, dancing, ceramic and clay studios, woodworking, and computer club and more. Special interest classes are available and a catalog is printed twice a year with listings. The offerings include calligraphy, geneaology, yoga, etc. It's no wonder many retirees say they are busier now than they were during their working life.

Our townhouse is centrally located in Green Valley. Close to it all!

Golf: Green Valley is a golfer's paradise. There are nine course available for a nominal fee and three private courses. And, if that's not enough there are at least two dozen other courses within an hour's drive. Golf is a way of life in Green Valley, so much so that golf carts are considered a second car. And, golf cart lanes are featured on many streets. It's no surprise though, because the sunshine allows for play literally 365 days per year!

Explore Madera Canyon!: The Santa Rita Mountains and Madera Canyon are just 15 miles from Green Valley. The canyon, carved out by Madera Creek, is home to a vast assortment of wildlife. In the spring and summer the bird watching experience is unrivaled. This lush riparian habitat offers several hiking trails, picnic areas and overnight cabins where you can enjoy the the great outdoors.

'Southeast Arizona is like no other place. A collection of high mountains surrounded by desert seas, the 'Sky Islands' are islands of rock, islands of vegetation, and islands of wildlife. It is an area that hosts the most eclectic collection of natural and American history anywhere.' - from 'The Sky Islands of Southeast Arizona' by K. Crowley & M. Link.

About Rich

We are a retired couple who moved to Green Valley from the Phoenix area. I know - why leave Phoenix? Well, we wanted to be away from the maddening crowds. Green Valley has a small town feel and when you need everything a big city has to offer you can go to Tucson. It's only 20 minutes away on I-19. So we have the best of both worlds. And as a bonus the weather is better, the views are spectacular, the amenities are great and the people are friendly. What more could we ask?

Rich purchased this townhome in 2010

Why Rich chose Sahuarita

We live in and LOVE Green Valley! We bought this house with an eye to the future. It is not as big and requires less maintenance than the house we are currently in. When the time comes and we are not able to take care of this big house we will still be able to enjoy everything the area has to offer.

What makes this townhome unique

The floor plan is perfect. - very little wasted space. And the guest bedroom can be set up as a suite with it's own bath. It is a quiet end unit with the desert at the back door.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Due to medical reasons we had to return to Green Valley for a month. This townhouse was a delight. I dreaded making the trip but after a month here I almost didn't want to go home! Everything you could ever need was here. The evenings on the patio were so enjoyable. Who says don't go to Arizona in the summertime?

6 day stay

My cousins and I came down to get the flavor of Green Valley while I was looking for a place to buy. This was perfect for our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed the birds and animal life. The house is well maintained and you can tell with the furnishing that the owners take pride in the rental. Thank you so much. I will soon be a resident in the area.

Fantastic !!!

  • 5 of 5

I've got to admit I was concerned after reading a negative review. But, that guy couldn't possibly have stayed at the same place. First of all the place was impeccably clean and bright showing the owners pride in ownership. And speaking of the owners, they were very accommodating. I was arriving quite late and they offered to stock some breakfast items so I would have time to settle in in the morning. The pictures are a true representation of what you get. The furnishings have a southwest flair and are very comfortable. The bed is dreamy. I've stayed in Green Valley before since I have elderly family members here and I have no qualms about saying this is the best. And it is reasonably priced. You won't be disappointed. I'll definitely stay here again if it is available.

Wonderful holiday home

  • 5 of 5

From the very first day of our arrival, we found the property to be charming and comfortable. The house was spotlessly clean, with comfortable furnishings. Everything that you could possibly need for an enjoyable stay was to hand . The kitchen was well equipped with cooking facilities as well as laundry requirements. Plenty of extra bedding if required also towels. Lots of local information was available, with phone numbers and maps. The location is perfect for day trips or longer to the many Arizona attractions, and we found our hosts most knowledgeable and helpful with recommendations. There are many varied places to eat near by, when required.

We would love to come back and do not hesitate in recommending this lovely place as an ideal holiday home.

Not worth the price, needs a deep cleaning and undated furniture

  • 1 of 5

I have been staying in VRBO rentals since 2006 for 2-5 months at a time, This is the worst one I have come across. Although it now does have a new HVAC unit after we froze, also the intermittent TV and Internet should be repaired by now.

But I doubt the place has been cleaned, the carpet, blinds, plastic plants are all full of dirt.

The place should not rent for more tha $1400 in the winter, if you don't mind the dirt. Every time we turned around there was something going wrong or needing tweeked to work. The kitchen spicot is frozen in one position, it works but is a pain. The rear screen door is impossible to open and close.

The pictures they show in the ad are taken in 2011 and 2010, there is no view, it's grown up, the restful chair has been trashed or rebuilt, I don't know if they replaced it or not.

The lighting was horrible at night, it was impossible to read, all of the bulbs are 60w equive. energy efficient .

I suppose the people that had good reviews either were very short term and ate out a lot and didn't spend much time here other than sleeping. They were probably there when there was more light outside.

The only positive is the shower is ok and the king bed is suitable. It is priced ok for a short term rental but not for long term.

Somebody needs to spend a few bucks and update the sagging furniture and clean it up, get rid of plastic dust gathering plants.

Owner's Response: I am truly disappointed with this guest's response. But I can't say I didn't expect it. When I welcomed him on the first day, I asked if everything was as he expected. His response was "I haven't found anything wrong yet." Later a friend who has another rental in Green Valley found that I had rented to him and I was told to brace myself. She commented she would never rent to him again. Now I understand why. When he arrived he pointed out the stiff spigot. I offered to have it replaced immediately but he declined since it was "serviceable". Once he left I replaced it. Unfortunately other things happened while he was here that were totally out of my control. The HVAC system had to be replaced and the job was completed within days, taking into consideration his schedule limitations. Then there was trouble with Cox Cable TV/Internet. Again, scheduled around him, but within 24 hours. And, once the trouble had been diagnosed he refused to let the service man do the work because it would take too much time. It had to be rescheduled after his departure. The carpets are shampooed before each long term guest, at least twice a year. The blinds were new 6 months ago. He broke the chair he said needed to be replaced. It has been. And, 60w bulbs? That is what is suggested for most fixtures. There are 3 lamps in the living room along with a hanging light; in the kitchen there are 2 hanging lights and a fluorescent over the sink; each bedroom has 2 lamps and a wall mounted fixture; in the bathrooms there are skylights and the standard vanity lights. Maybe the problem is with his vision. I get he doesn't like silk plants (3) but they are dusted and blown out with each pre-arrival cleaning. I don't believe this guest cleaned the dust accumulated by him and his 2 dogs during their 2 month stay but they were cleaned prior to new guests. Once the cleaning crew left, before the next tenant, I also did sage cleansing to clear the negativity. I consider myself a responsible vacation rental owner. If there is a problem it is immediately addressed. But I can't fix things I don't know about or that the tenant refuses to allow. I wish him luck in future rentals. But I also wish there was a rating system for guests as well. I would not have rented to him had I known what my friend had to share about her experience. By the way, the guests who succeeded this one were so pleased they have already signed a contract to return for three months next year, winter 2017.

We were very pleased overall!

  • 4 of 5

We found a house very clean comfortable and it worked well for our family staying on vacation in Arizona. Rick and his wife are nice enough to stock in some cereal and milk before we arrived and call the first day To see how everything was. They also provided some nice snacks for us and some "get started coffee. Highly recommend this place for anyone.
