The West End is my dream neighborhood. Everything is in the west end. And this apartment has everything and is close to everything. If I were visiting Vancouver, this is where I would want to be. The apartment is bright and open. It has views of the neighborhood from every room. Enjoy your morning coffee on the balcony with A view of the city. There is also a rooftop deck and outdoor pool with breathtaking viewS of English Bay. The apartment is minutes from the seawall, the aquatic centre, the shops and restaurants of Robson Street and Davie Street. Any kind of food you want is minutes away. If you are a 'cook', the Aquabus to the Granville Island Market awaits you. You can walk EVERYWHERE. If you are inclined to bicycle, there are bike rentals all over the area, and you are close to the new (and very safe) bike lanes of Vancouver, including the Burrard Street Bridge. This apartment is Vancouver and has Vancouver at its fingertips.
As one of our tenants said, it is so lovely. It is clean and bright and open. You can see the lions (mountains) while sitting in the living room. There is a safe and friendly feel to the building. The building has architectural merit. Built in 1966, it is stylish yet traditional.
We spent 2 nights here and loved it. It has nice views and easy access to roof top, that has even more beautiful views of a beautiful city. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. You could walk to almost everywhere and transit is close and accessible. The beach is only 5 minutes away. We wouldn't hesitate to book it again in the future. The owners are very nice and easy to deal with.
We spent 8 glorious days in Vancouver and this condo is just like it is described and even better. Trish was so nice to work with - very patient and flexible with us because we kept changing our dates along the way. She met us there upon arrival and showed us around the condo. The place was a perfect size for the two of us - nice sitting area to read in the morning and the view every morning was spectacular. Extremely comfortable bed and the bedroom also afforded a lovely view. After a long day of sightseeing, it was great to come home to a place that was so comfy and actually we liked being there so much did take out a couple of nights just to stay at home. two block walk to the seawall which is a real treasure. great restaurants nearby - The Banana Leaf (Malaysian food) was excellent and a tapas restaurant on burard and Davie was also very good. If you like walking as we do, coal harbour is about 15 minutes away and that area of the city is beautiful. Stanley Park was a bus ride away and we went back there a few times.
We would't hesitate to return here for a future vacation and probably would stay longer.
Nice apartment, was slightly small for the 3 of us- all adults, but perfect for a couple. Great hosts, very prompt responses, deposit refunded bang on time, friendly...
Was close to Granville island, a good 20 minute walk from the main Robson street, but the utility store is about 3 streets away.
Well equipped apartment with almost everything we needed, including parking, the only thing we actually missed was a little coffee powder, milk and sugar for the first coffee after a 24 hour flight. so simply went to the starbucks a few blocks away although would have loved a cuppa indoors..but guess it was a very small thing, may have gone unnoticed by the otherwise perfect hosts.
Will definitely recommend to friends..
Really, really liked this apartment. Everything's as it appears in the pictures, and very clean. The kitchen's fully stocked with dishes, pots/pans, utensils. The furnishings are attractive and comfortable. The owners are attentive, responsive, and nice. We loved the neighborhood and being 2 blocks from Davie Street with its restaurants and bakeries. Grocery store is close, as is the ferry to Granville Island and beyond. Also nice to have a parking space.
My husband and I stayed in this West End apartment for 3 months this past fall. We were absolutely thrilled with the apartment and the location is beyond superb. The apartment was quiet, clean and has a very safe, homey feel. There is a hospital close by and you will hear sirens here and there. The apartment is very bright even on cloudy days. The living room is well furnished and the hide-a-bed in the livingroom came in handy when we had visitors. The balcony is great and the views of the downtown skyline and the Burrard bridge are beautiful. The kitchen although small was very functional and well equipped (no dishwasher). The bedroom was quite spacious for downtown Vancouver, the bed very comfortable and the linens are plentiful and good quality. The building itself although a bit dated was secure, quiet, friendly and the laundry facilities are new. There are so many great shops, restaurants and entertainment options all within walking distance. Having the seawall literally 2 minutes away was such a bonus. The rooftop pool was closed for the season however the views were amazing and they have chairs and loungers for relaxing.
Patricia went out of her way to ensure our stay was to our satisfaction. She is honest, efficient and very thorough. I requested some additional kitchen linens as well as a coffee grinder which she supplied without hesitation. We had a few issues with the internet upon arrival and she arranged a repair appointment with the provider the next day. We would highly recommend this apartment.
We enjoyed our two week stay in this apartment very much. Both the listing information and photos reflected the property exactly as it is.The property was very clean, well maintained and well equipped. The kitchen contained everything one needed. The owner is very easy to deal with and very accomodating. The public areas are also well maintained, laundry room an added bonus. The west end has many and varied restaurants, Davie Street is nearby. Everything is within a short walk.
I would recommend this apartment, and hope to stay here again.
