20 Sunset Captiva is located in the Sunset Captiva community-one of the most popular destinations on Captiva Island, Florida. This charming neighborhood of private sandy lanes and lush tropical foliage is situated at the exclusive north end of the Island. The community spans a wide swath of Gulf of Mexico beach, famous for its white sand, pretty shells, dolphin viewing, bird watching, warm water and abundant sunshine.
The home has been thoroughly remodeled with birch wood flooring, Robb & Stucky furniture, granite countertops, stainless appliances, flat panel televisions and Travertine tiled baths. Much of the décor came from Sanibel’s Finest, displaying lovely local artists’ works. It is also furnished with a wireless network for internet access. With abundant landscaping, the home provides a level of privacy and seclusion not found in most other homes in the community.
The location of the home is closer to the beach than two thirds of the other homes in the community. It is literally a one minute walk to the beach and the historic Chapel By The Sea via a scenic private boardwalk. The large heated pool, tennis courts and barbeque patio area are even closer. Unlike most other beach side homes, guests have access to private dockage because the community spans the width of the island and owns its own private dock on the bay side.
With convenient proximity to the Old Captiva Village Center, guests are only a few minutes’ walk from shopping, unique dining establishments like the Bubble Room, RC Otters, Keylime Bistro, Green Flash, Old Captiva House, Doc Ford's and Mucky Duck, the island’s only beach side dining with spectacular sunset views, access to neighboring island, sunset and shelling cruises, boat rental and fishing excursions, wave running, parasailing, bike, golf cart and other rental services, the Captiva Public Library, post office, etc. For biking enthusiasts, there are many bike trails on neighboring Sanibel Island and one can ride the entire length of the islands from the home to the bridge to Ft. Myers.

We have been visiting Captiva Island since our honeymoon in 1985.
The Owner purchased this house in 2009
This is our favorite vacation destination.
The color of the ocean, sea shells, white sand beaches, sunset views, low key relaxed atmosphere and family memories.
Our vacation was awesome! We enjoyed every aspect of this condo. It is decorated beautifully with high-end furnishings, was very clean and has everything you could possibly need. The location is great because it is within walking distance of most everything. The pool is a walk across the parking lot and the beach is a very short stroll down a boardwalk. A walk to the Mucky Duck restaurant to watch the sunset each night is a must, also super close to other restaurants, stores, bike/beach rentals and Jensen’s Marina. Stop at a Publix grocery store before getting to the island as everything is available, but at a much higher cost. I HIGHLY recommend this condo to anyone vacationing in Captiva! My husband and daughter could not stop telling me how well I did in finding this condo for our stay. Thanks to the owners for sharing it with us!! We will be back!
