Sand Dollar Cottage has 2 king bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom. Sand Dollar has a sofa bed and a single rollaway bed for additional guests. There is also a powder room off the living room. The spacious living room has seating for 8 and a flat-screen TV. The modern kitchen features stainless steel appliances. Amenities include WIFI, cable TV, a washer and dryer, and an outdoor gas grill. The Marina Village development features a Caribbean fusion restaurant on site. Your boat can anchor just off Four Points Tikki Bar where there is a dinghy dock.
Please note that while you CAN swim and snorkel behind the house, the water there is a bay, not a beach.
First of all, we have to stress the excellent customer service provided; they checked in with us multiple times and were very responsive & attentive!
The property itself is CHARMING - a cozy little place with beautiful high ceilings, gorgeous dark hardwood and a beach theme decor. The view is gorgeous and a lovely little restaurant lies steps away from the property. Even though there is a restaurant so close to the residence, any noise generated was nicely muffled and could hardly be heard from the living room.
A short walk away is a liquor store and a marketplace - everything you could need from groceries to simple ammenities (shampoo, conditioner, etc.). Every afternoon in the corner of the marketplace's parking lot, a group of men set up a fresh conch stand from the back of their truck. We soon learned that pop-up fresh conch stands were a common theme along the tiny roadsides throughout the island.
The number of beaches was astounding! Not only numerous but complete with powder soft sand and water so turquoise the blue of the sky pales in comparison. Often we were the only ones on the beach and water was so clear that we could wander far from shore and still only be up to our waists. Coral reefs were everywhere and snorkeling provided a gorgeous up close view of the aquatic life.
We were absolutely satisfied with this property and the owners - I recommend them to anyone that wants to experience the TRUE Bahamian life: the charm of it's roadways, brightly colored homes, local restaurants, friendly locals, & relaxed pace.

I'm a Bahamian and decided to vacation within the country. I had an awesome time at the Cottage! The beach was right outback and the watching the sunset from the balcony was unbelievable! The staff at Eleuthera Properties did and awesome job assisting me with arranging my car rental and was an email/phone call away when I had questions about the Island. My kids enjoyed the stay as well and had soo much fun on the Kayak...what a fabulous home away from home! I will recommend this house to anyone travelling with their family. The local grocery store was 1 minute away where we stocked up on groceries and enjoyed our time as a family and when we didn't feel like cooking Sammy's Place (a short drive away) welcomed us and provided great food.
This attractively decorated house was centrally located, clean, convenient to the airport and supermarket. Although next to a restaurant it's quiet and has a lovely sunset view over Rock Sound. Amazing beaches in every direction you have to yourself. Tour the Island School and have lunch at Pascal's in Cape Eleuthera. Don't miss lunch at The Northside Inn - Rose is a delight. Also enjoyed 1648 Bar & Grill, Tippy's and Rainbow Inn. Extremely well managed by Chandra Sands who couldn't do enough for us. Most of all the people on Eleuthera are so friendly and made our trip so enjoyable.
We have traveled to the island for over 14 years and this is by far one of the nicest places we have stayed! Because we own businesses in the states it was very important to have good internet. Much to my surprise, the it was better than I have at home!
The furnishings were very comfortable and clean. The convenience of having a wonderful restaurant just a few steps away was great and the food was very good. You could never hear any noise from it either.
The owners were very attentive to our needs and accommodating. Will definitely come back. Best place to stay in Rock Sound! You won't be disappointed!
This property is amazing! From booking the property to arriving we always felt very well taken care of and welcome! The owners met us on the day arrival to make sure that everything was in order and then personally drove us over to the grocery store at 6 pm on a Sunday. The grocery store was already closed so he personally opened it and let us shop. The people here are all incredible ! Great family atmosphere! The property is beautiful inside and out. It is very modern. The beds are very comfortable and the air conditioning works very well , which is necessary for the summer months. The property is located near the Wild Orchid restaurant which is wonderful! The food is great and the prices are very reasonable, especially for the island. The service and genuine hospitality that everyone on the island shows makes you feel very welcome. This property is also located near one of our favorite beaches , lighthouse beach! This is a must see! Out of our seven days on the island we spent three of them here! If we saw more than four other people on this incredible beach we thought it was crowded. Absolutely amazing clear water. The sand is so soft and never gets to hot to walk on. We can't wait to go back!
3 of my friends and I had a reunion vacation in RockSound and were fortunate to find the Sand Dollar Cottage. The property is very well maintained and had a great layout. We were well taken care of by the property manager and received lots of timely recommendations when we contacted them by phone / email throughout our visit regarding activities, places to eat, visit etc. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone visiting Rock Sound. A car rental is a must so that you could see all of the sights. If you plan on visiting the beaches in the Rock Sound / Bannerman town area, I would strongly recommend that you rent an SUV as the roads to some of the beaches are not '4door sedan friendly' Although the drives to the beaches are quite narrow and is through bush, it is well worth the drive - beaches are quite stunning and peaceful! I would recommend this property as it was extremely comfortable and spacious, clean and well maintained - Jasmine ensured that we had everything we needed and more! Thanks again for hosting us at your beautiful property!
