I want to rent my property
The Owner purchased this condo in 2008
The room was nice - comfortable bed huge luxurious bathroom. It was a bit irritating that we did not have full access to the hotel services. For example, since we booked through VRBO and not through the hotel, we could not get an ice bucket or drinking glasses until the owner dropped one off the next day. Something I have never seen a hotel room without. The manager/owner claimed it was not standard. A small thing, but sort of ridiculous. The front desk would not give them to us since we booked through VRBO.
Food at the hotel was NOT good, and expensive. If you stay here, go to Stowe or to Smugglers Notch to eat. There are some excellent restaurants there. I think there are better options off of the mountain. So if you are not there to ski, stay off mountain and get a bit more for your money. Again, a nice resort, but not really the best choice since you need to go off property to eat anyway. It IS central between Stowe and Smugglers. Since we were doing activities in both towns, it was a good mid-point. All in all we had a great time, I am just being critical since it was not cheap considering we were there BEFORE the leaf season. After three days in a fantastic place in Northern VT prior to this stay, that was privatey owned and less expensive, we did expect a bit more fro this property. (See my other reviews).
The Unit was a hotel room, nicely furnished with a comfortable bed. Booking the room through VRBO vs. directly through the hotel means you do not have full access to hotel services. That was the first drawback. We did not have an ice bucket in our room and had to wait until the next day to get one since we were not in a hotel unit. The refrigerator was not cold at all. The food at the resort was not good, and very expensive. The food in town, either in Stowe or in Smugglers Notch was FAR better. We loved the area but would select an off-mountain property for sure.
it could not have been better. We were there for my sons parents weekend...and it was great.. there was nothing missing. had all the comforts of home. the condo was beautiful, with the most comfortable beds and pillows, kitchen had everything we needed, and the views of the mountains was picture perfect..
The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful to all our needs....the rental company who took care of our reservations, were great, always helpful with answering questions we had to make our say perfect. and putting fresh milk and juice in the fridge.
I have to say this was one of our best vacations, my children want me to book again for next year, and I think so too...
thank you Stowe mountain lodge for such a wonderful time.It was first class all the way...Hope to see you next year..
I would definetly recommend this to friends and family...You must do some hiking and horseback riding..so fun..
Stowe is great, SML is great, their staff is great and the room was good. Just to be clear, because I wasn't, this room is the bedroom to a suite (not a suite and not quite a studio). There are no chairs, fireplace or bar as suggested in the photos. Essentially, you have a very nice hotel room and given the price I can highly recommend it, just be clear as to what you are renting.
The Lodge itself is outstanding. We enjoyed the wonderful pool area, the restaurant and the golf course. I can't say enough good things about the staff. Took a peek at the tennis facilities down the road and they were severely neglected (or maybe they couldn't decide between grass and har tru, because there seemed an abundance of both).
One note on the golf course, it is not a resort course. It is as difficult as it is beautiful. Play it, enjoy it, but leave your expectations at home. Incredibly well maintained. In fact, I saw more grounds crew meticulously working than I did other golfers. Well worth the $$.
My husband and I were on a quiet getaway and thoroughly enjoyed the location and the property. The golf course is stunning. Facilities are in top condition. There are some fabulous restaurants on site and in the town, beautiful paved trails for bikes and running. Loved Flannel and Harrison's.
This unit is a great hotel room ideal for 2 with a beautiful view over the pool area and the mountains.
