Toronto's Beach area has always been a welcoming district full of interesting shops and galleries and surrounded by homes of distinction, both quaint & charming, and continually upgrading & updating.
The Masterpiece Suite is close to all the amenities, only a short ride away from downtown bustle, a walk from the beach & boardwalk and quiet & comfortable.
We wish to thank David and Valerie for the exceptional service and their lovely "Masterpiece" apartment they let us use during our recent trip to Toronto. We only wish we could have stayed longer. It was perfect in every way. I hope we have an opportunity to return to the Beaches some day and we certainly wholeheartedly recommend this clean and cozy apartment to anyone contemplating a trip to Toronto. Once again, thanks for everything.

The Beach neighborhood in Toronto is a perfect base to explore the city. The immediate neighborhood had many restaurants, bars, and stores, plus the boardwalk along Lake Ontario. To get the full urban Toronto experience just take the trolley into town. The apartment itself is also perfect. The kitchen is well equipped, the bath is spacious with great towels and other amenities, and the king bed is comfy. There is some street noise from the living room side of the apartment but that nearly disappeared when we closed the door to the living room before going to bed. We were completely delighted with our Toronto weekend in large part due to the great accommodations. One warning to US citizens with no Canadian cell service - connect with Valerie or David before crossing the border to arrange to meet. We did so and everything went smoothly, but I was glad we had formulated a plan beforehand. All in all an excellent choice for visiting Toronto.
knowing Toronto to be a large and modern city, we were happily surprised to find this comfortable apartment in a section of the city that can only be compared to a beach town! a block from the actual beach, with a long boardwalk, park area including tennis courts, croquet and lawn bowling facilities (in heavy use each night) and lots of galleries, shops, and restaurants (including a super ice cream spot), it was relaxing and comfortable. At the same time, the trolley, with a stop just at the corner, made downtown easily accessible - far easier and less expensive than needing to drive down. The apartment itself was fine - nicely furnished and comfortable - and David meet us there when we arrived to go over details. He'd stocked the refrigerator with provisions for breakfast and was readily available in case we needed anything else (we didn't).
Would highly recommend this for anyone looking to spend time in Toronto without being overwhelmed by a big city!
Great stay, close to restaurants & shops & trolley took you right to the heart of the city! Once you get there no need to drive. Very walkable area, minutes walk to the beach. Bike/walking/jogging path runs for miles along the beach with nice parks along the way.
Will be back soon!
In the fall of 2015 we had guests arriving from Europe and needed to put them up for a few days. The Masterpiece Suite was the perfect place for them and they truly enjoyed their stay. Location, ready access to public transport and the ''village feeling'' of the area rounded out the experience.
And we, as ''remote hosts'', loved the fact that we could meet the owners, see the flat and know our guests to be in very good hands.
I was wary of the accommodations based on how reasonably priced the apartment was, but it really is just an amazing bargain. The owners were as previously reviewed more than happy to meet us late in the evening and provided everything needed. There is more than enough to do locally, but it's very convenient to downtown as well so a great choice when visiting for any reason.
Art Galleries, Craft Shops, Boardwalk on the Beach, Libraries, Outdoor Patios, Live Jazz and other bands in local Bistros, a variety of cuisines.
