Excellent Weekend Getaway

  • 5 of 5

My girlfriends and I were searching for the perfect weekend getaway from the city and this was the PERFECT rental. It's secluded, allows for a relaxing and quiet getaway from all the hustle and bustle. It is extremely clean and offered all we could have wanted and more. I recommend this home to anyone looking for the best weekend getaway in the North Bay.

This is an amazing property. I fell in the love with the location, the setting, the house and the beautifully decorated interior. The art is wonderful. But.... This is a home that has been abandoned and neglected. It needs a very thorough cleaning on the inside. There are numerous lights in the house that do not work. The lights in the master bath are not working on one side of the vanity - not just a light bulb replacement issue. The water filter on the refrigerator needs to be changed. The cupboards are loaded with food - most of which expired as long ago as 2007. I did spend one morning discarding expired food items. Outside there are many areas to relax but the furniture is in need of cleaning or replacement. All of the plants around the peripheral of the house are dead and brown from lack of irrigation. The pool needs to be drained and cleaned so that the bottom is blue rather than a mottled blue/dark gray. Despite all of this, I was in love with this house. I spent 12 days there and wanted to stay and spend time bringing the place back to life. The owners of this house built a very special place that needs some tender loving care to bring it back to where it started.

Lovely Experience

  • 5 of 5

The property was the perfect balance between beauty and comfort. While the description and pictures were technically accurate, we were pleasantly surprised by the generousness of the space and the abundant natural light. We look forward to returning.

Gorgeous home

  • 5 of 5

The pictures of this home do not do it justice! The feel of the space is light and airy. It was immaculate and boasted some very interesting art peices. The master bedroom and bath are enormous. Second bedroom is lovely as well. Views are breath taking! We visited for 3 nights during harvest season to tour and taste Sonoma wineries. I only wish we had more time to enjoy the property and surrounding area.

Nothing to Whine about!

  • 5 of 5

What a beautiful and comfortable home! We have rented many homes from this site and this is one of our favorites! The pictures didn't do it justice - it is a very beautiful home and you can tell the owners put time and attention to every detail! The home had a very well stocked kitchen, complete with spices, napkins, beautiful dishes, etc. The beds were extra comfortable and we loved how the bedrooms were far away from the kitchen and living room (our kids are on California time and we are on Texas time!). The beautiful pool was inviting, but while we didn't swim, we did enjoy sitting by the pool and reading in the morning. The home is located about 25 minutes from Healdsburg where there are numerous vineyards and great restaurants. You should make a stop at the Safeway in Healdsburg before heading up the mountain as that is the closest grocery store. The home is closer to Cloverdale, there were a few small restaurants there, but we didn't try any of them. We had a wonderful time and would recommend this home and location.

Great place to get away

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay here for a weekend. The house is beautiful and in a very secluded setting. We had plenty of room and privacy for two couples. And the pool was a lovely place to spend a hot day!

Note that the house is about 25 minutes from Healdsburg and 6 of the miles are on windy roads. I would recommend the house to guests who prefer to spend most of their time at the house rather than those who plan to drive back and forth to Healdsburg a number of times.
